This is a question that PK can answer (in an overall way) and voters can answer (by their personal experience.)
I was curious: with voting being held during Christmastime, has the quantity of votes received gone down compared to last year or compared to projected volume of votes? (For PK).
I live alone, so I can log onto whatever kinky website I want whenever I want and vote… :) So I’ve made it here every day. Due to this being over Christmastime, has anyone had any difficulty getting around to voting when they want to? (For everyone except PK. 😉 )
It would be interesting to see if having the holidays during the voting period significantly affects voter participation in the Golden Panty awards.
December 26, 2006 at 3:43 pm #11586PRHMember That is a good question!
I even thought about seeing if we could have the voting extended another day or 2 because of the holidays. So far,I haven’t had any problems with getting on here to vote. ( but one never knows what can happen ) 🙂
    * Just an added little thought I had running around in my mind! *January 6, 2007 at 3:02 am #11781Kinky KateMemberI’ve had 3 very regular/loyal customers tell me they either couldn’t vote every day as they would have liked, or didn’t get to vote at all since they were away from home during the holidays, or had relatives staying with them. -KK
January 6, 2007 at 1:25 pm #11782mikegukMember I would say it surely has made a difference as at that time of year, the last thing on most peoples minds is to go on the internet.
OK i was lucky enough to be able to vote every day, but those with young families or with other`s staying with them, whether they be sellers or buyers i would think it was the wrong time of year to hold the awards. But then again when is the right time?? Overall PH is very quiet right now with only a few diehards posting here. Its also noticeable on the many sellers blog as well, that’s the lack of posting/updates i mean.
Anyway that’s just a few of my thoughts on the subject.Bye
ÂJanuary 6, 2007 at 1:27 pm #11783FetishKittenMemberI’ve hardly been updating my blog because i’ve been so busy with other things, sadly including looking for a part/fulltime job as times are hard.
I really should dedicate more time to my blog as promised, and i DO agree that making the awards go on over xmas would have effected the voting alot
🙁
January 6, 2007 at 4:52 pm #11785adminKeymasterYes, the time after the Holidays is traditionally a slower time in the used panty world and in most things actually (car sales, retail sales, etc). I think a lot of people get worn out leading up to the holidays, and are cleaning up and catching up on business put aside in their rush to ready for the Holidays.
We held the Golden Panty Awards last year and this year at the end of the year because they are designed to recognize people for things that have happened over the past year. We probably wouldn’t want to hold them in say, May, because there would still be seven months of the year left to go. This really leaves our options as having the voting done in December as usual, or waiting to have the voting in January with the Awards immediately afterward. Personally, I think the all in January would work well, but some members have told me that they believe that is too long past the last year to do it. Please continue to share your ideas as you have been. After the current Awards are finished, the members here at Panty Hog should take a hard look at changes in the Awards in general and the timelines/dates desired so that we can come up with a concensus of what members would like to see.
😉 PK
January 6, 2007 at 5:34 pm #11786AnnaMemberI think the awards should be done in December, at the end of the year, or January, for the previous year. Either way Christmas gets in the way doesn’t it? But doing over Christmas isn’t such a good idea I think.
Perhaps we should take advantage of the lead up to Christmas, tap into the spirirt of goodwill and do the Awards in the first half of December?
January 6, 2007 at 5:59 pm #11788Kinky KateMemberWhat about voting the 1st week of December & awards at the end of December, after the Christmas rush? -KK
January 6, 2007 at 6:52 pm #11789PRHMember How about something like KK posted! Start nominating around Christmas and have the awards after Christmas and New Year’s. That way it gives those of us that are busy with other things time to nominate and time to attend a ceremony after the holiday rush! ( amost sounds like PK too huh )
Oh well…Think it over as it was only my quarter dollars worth! ( inflation ya know )!!!
PRH            ÂJanuary 6, 2007 at 10:51 pm #11790adminKeymasterYes, we could do the nominating and finish voting at the begining of December. But holding the Awards during the week between Christmas and New Years would create problems with those that go away at that time.
😉 PK
January 6, 2007 at 11:46 pm #11791AnnaMemberThe Awards should be before Christmas then?
January 7, 2007 at 8:57 am #11796Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberI think the actualy Award Ceremony should be the first week in December.
That way it is still the end of year, people can start putting forward nominations mid November and awards are given out 1st week in December. That way it is end of year, before Christmas and its all over by the time the family comes to visit 🙂January 7, 2007 at 1:43 pm #11800AnnaMemberThis makes a lot of sense actually, after all, how many award ceremonies are actually held at the end of the year?
