Hi Girls,
As you probably know, I haven’t been active much recently on here. I just landed myself an awesome internship (in my second week right now), plus I’m still in school full time and working my other job part time. So, it’s severely altered my schedule. I was just wondering how everyone else manages their panty selling and their lives.
Right now, I have my website (which I haven’t had time to sit down and do more than a few minor tweaks to), my panty mall store, my panty auctions (which also I haven’t done much of) and my blog. I almost feel like I have too much stuff going on. Would it make more sense to have a bunch of things that I only update every once and awhile or to keep everything but my website and maintain those well (it would be easier than maintaining my site, I think).
Also, I can no longer actually make it into a post office until Saturday. Do you ladies always get your items weighed before mailing, or do most of you pop in in the box with a lot of stamps and hope it doesn’t get returned to you? I know basic amounts of postage for a pair of panties, but other orders I’m not sure on.
I’ll try to get back to check responses soon, but lately I’ve been coming home, eating dinner, and going to bed. I really want to find a balance somehow!
Thanks everyoneKacie
January 23, 2007 at 10:03 am #12166Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHi Kacie
I have a lot going on in my life too right now and usually the guys know that we do have another life outside panty selling. I think as long as you say why you are quiet on your site and blog, it eases their minds and they dont think that you have decided to pack it in.As for stamps … never ever just guess the weight – you are just tempting fate there. I buy stamps by the bulk load each month and I have my own scales and a leaflet of the sizes, costs, weight and countries. If a package Im sending out is unusually large or something I always get it checked at the post office. But if I were you, I would get some scales that show each gram (most only go in 2 gram steps but you need to have one that displays 1 gram). Then just stock up on stamps. YOu can then just post the package as normal.
My post office also supplies me with a handful of the CN22 stickers/labels (which are free) that I fill out myself and put on for overseas mail.
It is a bit daunting at first but you get used to it and it save alot of time too.
January 23, 2007 at 3:46 pm #12170AnonymousGuestYes I know exactly what you mean!!!! I would say-since you allready know how to manage your website…why not make a blog on your website?instead of one aside? And just put an auction once in a while.Cindy is right-just post that you are extremely busy lately but def. not gone!!!!!
I too have a scale-but i think i’d prefer an electrical one……..lets say a ktichen scale, stamps and all you need, packages and/or envelopes( i work with the bubly ones).
And don’t forget the price leaflet.
Good Luck!January 24, 2007 at 3:36 am #12190tastykacieMemberThanks girls! I need to seriously look into a scale now. I think I can get a price leaflet online too, so that’s covered. As for the blog on my site, I’m not sure. I have a separate one in case I ever decided to let my site go instead of renewing it. It’s something I’m seriously considering doing. Would it be really bad for sales/customers if I let go of the site and stuck with a pantymall store, auction every now and again, and my blog?
January 24, 2007 at 9:27 am #12197AnnaMemberIt’s a real quandry Kacie. Each thing that you do has it’s own benefits 🙁
Blogs are always good to keep because you can sell from them and they do better through the search engines and can be more personal plus they are easier to update.
Which is more successful for sales? Mall, auctions or site? I’d make my decision based on that I think.
January 25, 2007 at 12:52 am #12225tastykacieMemberThat’s why I’m having issues deciding. One month, I’ll get a bunch of website orders, the next I’ll have no website orders, but a ton of mall orders. I might just pare down my site a bit to make it more managable and see how that works.
But I just thought of this. If I let my site go when the domain registration is up, someone else could buy it and possibly use it for no good (scams and such). Or does that not happen? I wouldn’t want someone to be able to scam people who thought it was me they were buying from.
January 25, 2007 at 5:49 am #12228Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberWhy dont you just keep the site name and forward it to go to your blog or somewhere that you want to keep as “home” :). That way nobody can use your site name and anyone who knows it and has it bookmarked will be taken to another place automatically 😉
January 25, 2007 at 6:12 am #12229adminKeymasterYes, you can always have your domain name forward to your Panty Mall store too. 😉
Whoops I’m in the ladies only area….sorry

I think finding theres too little time is a universal problem.
If your seriously stuck why not not give yourself a bit of a break and just stick to your regulars for a month? Being a parent , working and doing a degree myself I can tell yo from experience sometimes you just have to say no and step away from everything {You can’t sell panties if you are worn out and poorly !} Your own well being matters more than anything…Oh god if I hadn’t of mentioned I was a mum I think anyone reading that would have guessedJanuary 29, 2007 at 3:49 am #12332tastykacieMemberThanks for the site forward suggestion Cindy. That’s a good idea. I have a lot to think about.
I bought myself a little handheld scale this weekend on clearance for under $1. Score! So, no more guesswork on postage. I’ve got a lot to think about, but way more ideas now. -
