Hi all,
The end of the year will be here before we know it. The end of the year means the annual Golden Panty Awards season here at Panty Hog. Last year, during the award activities, we had many suggestions, questions, and discussions regarding the logistics of the awards. There were concerns regarding when it should be held to accommodate the most people, who should be able to be nominated, how many categories we should offer, etc. The Golden Panty Awards are supposed to be the fun event of the year for the used panty community. However, a few hard feelings were expressed during the last awards. Let’s not let that happen this time around!
Since it is nearly impossible to switch gears once the awards activities begin, late August is not too early to begin planning. Let’s open up the discussion of what people would like to see this year. Don’t hold back, say what you think so that we can work out the details and all enjoy later.
🙂 PK
August 24, 2007 at 6:40 am #16945FetishKittenMemberYay! Its time again already?
I think that there should be awards to recognise some member of the panty community, not just sellers, that have really helped out over the last year to promote the girls, support panty hog and just generally being a star. A couple of names and sites spring to mind!
August 24, 2007 at 7:40 am #16946AnnaMemberI agree with that too Kez.
I would also like the main award, and it’s silver and bronze counterparts, to be given to someone who is actually part of the community, not a complete stranger who turns up just for the award, manages to get it, and then in never ever ever heard of again. The winners should be sellers who are part of the community, that involves helping others and posting on the forum, not someone who has managed to get a load of votes by buyers and sellers outside the community.
August 24, 2007 at 6:39 pm #16954AnonymousGuestI am so excited about this years awards, I heard so much about last years, I can’t wait
I agree with both Kez and Anna, I think theres people out there that aren’t sellers who still offer tons of advice and support – they need recognising and how about a lifetime achievement award?August 24, 2007 at 6:44 pm #16955FetishKittenMemberLifetime achievements a great idea!
I was also thinking maybe we could have an award for best scent. I dont remember there being one for that last year.
August 25, 2007 at 6:09 am #16973Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberBest scent is hard because we all smell differently and guys like different aromas. Evidently I smell of toffee or fudge but someone who likes a different scent will buy from another girl. So that is hard, because in my opinion we all smell lovely, different, but lovely.
Also PK .. I would like to ask if I may host the awards this year together with you. I have won Gold for 2 years running and I am still top of Google on all search terms, which makes it unfair for those girls who don’t get so much traffic via Google.Â
Since going exclusive I think it is only fair that I step out of the awards altogether and maybe help give awards out to all the deserving girls 🙂
… Does anyone have any objections?
August 25, 2007 at 12:32 pm #16976mikegukMemberobjections?….Not at all Cindy, as long as your just wearing a sexy bra and undies and thats all  😉
 smt
August 28, 2007 at 11:41 pm #17026adminKeymasterThanks for the input so far everyone 😉 .
All good suggestions. Here is what I get from them so far:
1. We will add a category to recognize non panty sellers (guys or girls) who have contributed to the community, helped out the ladies, greeted new members, etc.
2. The Awards will be open ladies who have had at least some presence here at Panty Hog. This one is a little tougher because some ladies come and go and come back intermittently. Should we say something like the person needs to have been registered at Panty Hog for a certain time period before the nominations begin?
3. A Lifetime Achievement Award should be considered. How about more suggestions regarding what this would entail. Length of time selling, etc.?
4. Best Scent should possibly be added as a category. As some have said, this one is also a bit tricky. What’s great for Joe, might not be good for John. Best scent is certainly subjective, but on the otherhand, if you think about it, all of the categories are. Maybe we need to talk more here about this?
As far as Cindy dropping out from being considered for any awards, Cindy we’ll miss you competing, but I’m sure all of us will understand and respect your decision and your reasons behind it. I will be happy to also have Cindy be involved as the host/presenter of the Awards. I always flub up anyway! I would suggest though that it might be best if Cindy, Amy, and I are in the same room together :cheer:, preferably nude and covered in Baby Oil for the presentation of the Awards. Folks, please send Cindy some money toward her plane ticket, she’s coming to the States!  . (Videos of the resulting threesome can be pre-ordered).
Last year there was some discussion about length of time someone needed to be selling in order to be considered for the Seller of the Year (Gold/Silver/Bronze) awards. We’ve traditionally set it at one year. Is this still the way people want it to be?
Thanks,

Just my thoughts on question #2Â ..
Yes, they must at least have some presence here at Panty Hog and have actively posted here too when they have been on line, so that would also include that they are a member of PH for some time, but not necessary for a full year, but around a couple of months. Lets keep it in house this year, after all if the sellers don`t know that PH is here, where have they been? Lets reward those that put into PH rather than just take.Mike
August 29, 2007 at 4:10 pm #17032Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberYes one year is fair enough to qualify for the golden awards… I also agree with Mike about being members .. remember last year was infiltrated by German girls who nobody ever heard of and haven’t heard from since. This should NOT happen again.Â
I believe any seller who is worthy of a Panty Hog Prize should be a member here for at LEAST 3 months to qualify entry. That will at least stop the last minute sign ups in a panic :).
I also think the timing of the Awards is really SHITTY over Christmas and New Year and after New Year it seems too late really because the buzz has gone out of it. I suggest bringing the awards to the first week in December. That cuts out any whining crap that went on last year as well and then the winners get to display the awards on their site even sooner 🙂
And thanks PK for allowing me to help you this year. I will start working on some banners and ads and dropping them around the web in a couple of months hehe 🙂 .. as for coming to the states .. ID LOVE TO!! I have a girlfriend in Florida I am DIEING to visit so I could do a “Cindy does USA” gig LOL 😛
Can’t wait for the awards .. I already know who I am voting for the Golden Seller of the Year!
August 29, 2007 at 4:44 pm #17033adminKeymasterMoving the date of the Awards up is okay with me if people will be helping. Originally, having the Awards during the first weekend in January was scheduled that way because I was thinking that earlier in December, people would be too busy with Holiday preparations, Holiday parties, etc. to participate fully. In addition, I take a few days off from my day job during the last two weeks of December so that allowed me some time to get things together for the Awards (the nomination pages take some time to put together, along with press announcements, etc.). If we get started early enough we could make it work out for early December though. What do others think of moving it up?

August 29, 2007 at 7:04 pm #17034AnonymousGuestThe sooner the better for me, I can’t wait!!!
Us English have to remember you Americans have all the Thanksgiving stuff too don’t you?
Are you sure that would be ok PK?
I feel that a lifetime achievement award should go to someone who’s sold for at least 2 years (thats quite a while in panty terms) but has also been active on PH and supportive and helpful with others, what does everyone think? Also, can I ask yet what the categories tend to be?
August 29, 2007 at 9:20 pm #17036adminKeymasterVicky,
You can see last year’s categories and results by clicking here: https://www.usedpantyportal.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=663&Itemid=154
Yes, here in the US, due to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, the end of November until the first week of January tends to be a nightmare in terms of having much free time. There are family events, work events, club events, neighborhood events, church events, city events, tons of shopping, cards to write and get mailed, cleaning your house and cooking for guests, traveling to visit family, football, and on and on, LOL! Then…Boom! January comes and there is nothing to do (except catch your breath 😉 ). Like I said though, as long as everyone is okay with the move up of the date and will be okay with getting started with the nominations say by the end of October, I’m okay with it.
😉 PK
August 29, 2007 at 10:04 pm #17037AnonymousGuestThanks for that PK, I’m even more giddy now  Just a thought though, if there’s a category for Best New Seller, shouldn’t there also be one for Best Old Seller (maybe the wording needs some work though!! :cheer:) But I think its as important to acknowledge them as it is the new ones.
August 29, 2007 at 10:25 pm #17039adminKeymasterActually, for sellers selling longer than a year, the “best” award for them is the Gold/Silver/Bronze seller of the year category.
