amazon gift certificates!
who actually runs panty trust? I’m interested in becoming verified…but not so keen to pay..haha.
has it increased anyones client base what one would call a substantial amount??
jessxSeptember 15, 2007 at 12:58 am #17312AnnaMemberPanty Trust is run by Bill and others, and if you want to become verified and benefit from the services they offer you have to pay, simple as.
Being PT verified means that there is less chance of you being a fake, it means that you have taken the time to get processed and therefore care about your buyers concerns, means you get more trust from dubious buyers, means you get additional advertising and means you are more likely to be accepted by the community in general.
Your choice 🙂
September 15, 2007 at 4:30 am #17313PTrustMemberPanty Trust is run by panty buyers and sellers. Anyone who has been involved in the used panty community is welcome and encouraged to volunteer to assist with the day to day operations. A core group consists of myself (I manage the site), Sean who manages the process for new applicants, and Anna who completes the verification of European members. Other community members volunteer as they have time (such as Cindy who has been a real sweetheart and has always been willing to help with anything over the years). Volunteers assist with verification activities, handling member and buyer questions, answering email, helping people who might have a concern, and dispute resolution activities in the rare instances it has been needed over the years. Proposals and suggestions for any changes to Panty Trust are made by any member or community member and are then decided on by all Panty Trust members.
Panty Trust was started in the forums of an adult auction site back in 2001. Basically a group of buyers and sellers who were frustrated with fraud and bad business practices got together and came up with the Panty Trust idea and membership procedures. In 2003 the group decided to separate from association with any particular selling site and become an independent service so that anyone buying and selling used lingerie anywhere on the internet could benefit.
Membership was free for several years, however as Panty Trust started to grow, it was decided that a small fee to join was needed to discourage those that were just “looking for advertising” and/or just felt that they should join simply because others had. Panty Trust and its members take our goal of bettering customer service and promoting trust in the used panty community very seriously. All members have worked very hard over the last many years to build the reputation that the organization now has. Frankly, Panty Trust is not interested in having every panty seller as a member because not every panty seller can uphold the commitment to customer service and fair business practices that we strive for. If they did, there would be no reason for Panty Trust to exist.
The Panty Trust site is well visited, and there are many buyers who won’t even consider buying from those who aren’t members. Think of it this way, if you were a buyer looking at two sellers who are equally appealing to you and who both had good feedback from past buyers, but only one of them cared enough to take the time and effort to declare that the promotion of outstanding customer service and trust was very important to them, which one of those sellers would you buy from? Panty Trust certainly helps sellers get noticed, but then again, if this is the only reason a seller wants to join, and the seller doesn’t actually “buy into” the idea of bettering the community, then Panty Trust truly does not want them as a member because it is our reputation and our members who do take this philosophy very seriously who will ultimately suffer for it.

Panty Trust ManagerSeptember 15, 2007 at 4:49 pm #17319LollyMemberHello Jessica!
I had the pleasure of working with Bill in the US to set up my Panty Trust page.Â
My honest opinion is that the small fee I paid is well worth the benifits I’ve recieved.

September 16, 2007 at 2:54 pm #17332jessicasdirtyknickersMemberBill, how did you come to open panty trust? Are you a ex/current panty buyer who decided to set it up for the girls? What is the “small fee” for? Where does the money go exactly?
I would love to get verified…i’m just not so keen on sending a weeks shopping £ and a pair of knickers to somebody called Bill….
I’m sorry for airing my doubts…i’m sure other girls wanting to sell have thought the same and you’ve probably been asked all this in the past.
However… i’m sure you’re a lovely guy really smt
I just like to question everything 🙂

September 16, 2007 at 3:50 pm #17333AnonymousGuestI think that is a fair question Jess, I am Panty Trust Verified and have benefited in clients trusting me (I think/hope)so it is money well spent – 2 lucky panty sales paid for it.
But it would be nice to know what happens with the fees.
I appreciate a fee should be payable to stop just anyone getting verified – maybe it should be more?
But where does it go?September 16, 2007 at 4:26 pm #17334AnnaMemberI’m quite frankly amazed at these questions.
Where do you think the money goes? Does Bill use it to pay for an all expenses paid trip around the world, or does it go towards the running costs of not only a website, but a number of other benefits that PT members enjoy?
What are you actually asking for? A balance sheet?
You’re talking about £20. That is the sale of one or two panties that probably came to you because you got verified! We’re not talking about a fortune here, we’re talking about an investment.
Oh and if you’re in the UK the panties come to me, not a ‘man called Bill’ – sheesh!
*shakes head*
September 16, 2007 at 4:35 pm #17335AnonymousGuestI think to a new seller though, it is a fair bit of cash to just part with without clarity of what they get out of it, its right to question if you don’t fully understand.
As I said before I feel I have benefited by being verified, and maybe it should be a higher fee to deter some people, but those £20 do add up quickly, is it put aside to pay hosting costs? Also, after being verified, what are the other benefits to members?I don’t think that anyone would say Bill was “just a bloke” or that the Panty Trust was a waste of time, he and it certainly aren’t, its just questions
September 16, 2007 at 7:28 pm #17338AnnaMemberThe benefits of joining Panty Trust is quite clearly listed on their website. I would be very surprised if a new seller was unable to find this info.
Are we saying that Bill should provide a breakdown of exactly where the fees for lifetime membership go?
Does it matter where the fees go if the benefits gained are helpful and improve our business?
September 16, 2007 at 7:47 pm #17339jazzyMemberAs a buyer i think Panty Trust serves both the buyer and the seller.
My first order was a scam from a woman who said if i was not happy with my order TOUGH!!
If she had been a member of Panty Trust i may have got a refund by contacting them.
Now though i only have one favourite girl i like to check how many new girls are aware of this service.
New buyers know that Panty Trust is a safeguard to both buyer and seller.just my opinion. 😉

September 16, 2007 at 8:57 pm #17341adminKeymasterHoly Shit talk about sticking both your feet straight up the gift horse’s ass.
Wake up and look around for Christ’s sake. Aside from Panty Hog of course, Panty Trust is the only other “commercial” service that I see actually working unselfishly to give something to the Panty Community (Mike’s site and other seller’s sites/blogs too, but I’m talking services).
I was around the panty community when Panty Trust started, and you couldn’t believe the rippoffs and bad service that were the norm before they arrived. I truly believe that Panty Trust has helped sustain the used panty trade. After all, how many buyers would keep coming back if they were always getting hosed?
Even the sellers that aren’t members of Panty Trust benefit from Panty Trust in this way because the experiences the buyers have with Panty Trust members gives them the confidence to keep buying.
I can tell you by having watched Panty Trust start and grow that the people there worked tirelessly to help develop some sort of trust in this community for the sole benefit of sellers and buyers and never at any time asked for a dime from anyone until they were forced to by the actions of some unscrupulous members of the panty community.
By the way, I see plainly worded on their site that the fee for a lifetime membership (read that as Panty Trust volunteers will bust their ass nonstop to assist your buyers who may have a problem because of your mistake for as many years as you sell) is $35.00.
The $5.00 extra is a security deposit that you get back if you quit selling. Once again, Panty Trust was forced to charge this deposit to help buyers because people would quit selling, not tell them, and buyers were getting ripped off by sending money to people who no longer sold but didn’t take the five minutes to take their sites and auction me pages down.
I’ll let “Bill the con man” speak for himself, but I had to say my piece because this thread just floored me.
PK
PS. I can help you out a bit with the “where does the money go” question. Take at look at our banner ads here at Panty Hog and then go read our advertising rates. Panty Trust has supported us by buying two spots each and every month since Panty Hog started.
September 16, 2007 at 9:11 pm #17342Ruby RedMemberAs a newly validated seller, I never hesitated to pay the measly 40 USD for the Panty Trust “seal of approval”…just like I didn’t hesitate to pay for the hosting, the domain name, and ALL the other stuff I had to purchase to start selling.
This is something fun for me, but it is also an investment. I don’t understand why you would go into a “business” not expecting to use a little money…the cash you expect doesn’t magically fall into your lap…you must build a reputation and making investments is a part of that.
I invested in my home, my education O_o (don’t get me started about my student loans LOL)…but in the long run I know that I’ve spent my money wisely in every aspect of my life because I have made an effort to show people they can trust me.
Isn’t that what the customer would want? Put yourself in the customer’s shoes…perhaps a small LIFETIME fee doesn’t seem so bad…especially when some of the customers are paying twice that in good faith to receive something from you.
My two cents smt
[me=Ruby Red]curtseys[/me]P.S. BTW, Bill and Sean have been the most courteous and helpful people in this process. Bill will even help you make changes to your panty page, or do it FOR you if you can’t. PT was also VERY PROFESSIONAL about the fee itself. I was told when it was being withdrawn, what the transaction name would be (it’s not withdrawn by the name Panty Trust)…all and all very discreet and very professional…I thought everyone at Panty Trust was very nice 🙂
P.S.S. LOL Panty Trust also says that you can send your nasty, about to throw away panties :buck2: lol if you like…if you send a nice pair of panties they will send it back to you, if you’re uncomfortable about getting them back, send your old, used and abused panties lol, they don’t care, it’s just part of the process 😛 I really think the pros outweigh any cons here (not that I see any)
Sincerely,
One satisfied PT seller
September 16, 2007 at 10:00 pm #17343jessicasdirtyknickersMemberI’m just not naive enough to part with my money and not ask where it goes.
I don’t see the big crime in asking about this:huh: I don’t see how questioning you all seems to be “putting both my feet up a horses arse”. To be honest if anything a select crew of you are way too fucking defensive and really unfriendly.
I did not call Bill a conman nor did i call the panty trust community ….but to be fair how would i know either way?! I’ve only just atarted panty selling, yes I don’t know as much as the hardcore sellers…I just wanted to know who Bill is and where the money went. That is all. Not to get out my handbag.
sheesh

Yeah, umm, I hope you’re not referring to me. I know you quoted PK’s post, but you did say a few ppl were unfriendly.I posted to reassure you that PT is a reliable community that will HELP your business. Something tells me you would’t be a member of Panty Hog if there were membership fees. I understand you don’t want to part with your money…who does?
As with any investment, why not ask Panty Trust themselves? They are more than happy to answer your questions, so is Panty Hog, but to ask where all your money goes is like the customer asking…
Hey, where does my money go when you sell me your panties? [It’s not the most polite way to go about it.]Â
What if he/she doesn’t like how you spend your money? What if you lose clientele based on your expenditures?
Please don’t shoot the messenger…I’m trying to help you as a peer (new seller). Again, I UNDERSTAND, you’re paying money to someone you’ve never met (just like your customers) and you aren’t sure if it’s a worthy investment (just like your customers).Â
We are ALL going out on a limb to trust one another 🙂 But I did not cuss at you, I maintained my composure and I’d appreciate the same.Â

Jessica, I have to say your attitude really bites.
Bill took the time to write a long reply to your original question as did a few others, and cant you see what you said was really rude?“I would love to get verified…i’m just not so keen on sending a weeks shopping £ and a pair of knickers to somebody called Bill..”
Are you really that surprised that people have answered the way that they have? There are a startling amount of fakes out there, and as PK has told us that number had decreased thanks to pantytrust (and pantyhog!) Did you even read through their site? Surely the fact that the so called “Veterans” and “fucking defensive” crew are with them, and vouch for the panty trust says a hell of alot, even if PantyHog believing in them doesnt mean a thing to you.Â
Most of us are cautious with our money too, how dare you imply that we must therefore be naive if you are asking these questions about where the money goes and we do not.
At least Vicky was asking it out of interest not out of apparent rudeness. This community really does go out of its way to help each other. We alert each other to bad buyers, other fake girls and help with blogs, sites and all manner of other things. Panty Trust does all the things (and more) that we cannot do alone, and they do it because they care about the panty community. The need to have a fee to stay open and keep offering a good service. As PK says they advertise, they run their site…all these things cost money. As much as we’d like everything to be free they cant always be.I wish i’d have gotten verified earlier! It was alot of money to me for a long time, especially when I first started selling as I was totally out of work, and hadnt gotten many sales in those months. But after I joined my sales went up 10 fold as people who wouldnt even look at me before took the Panty trust name to mean something and gave me a go. Alot of those are now friends and regulars and that £20/$40 has been put totally into perspective. It really is nothing for the services they give, and the work they do. Its a lifetime of selling garuntee.
Oh, and calling us way too fucking defensive and naive in this way is really not the way to get people to take you seriously
