    Hi girls,

I’ve only just joined and posted a brief intro in the general chat area so I hope you don’t mind me asking questions already!

I’m hoping to get set up as a seller at the moment and I noticed a lot of you are using wordpress.  I was wondering if there’s a particular reason for this?  I’ve had a look at blogger and wordpress and I have to admit that I’m finding wordpress quite confusing in comparison! I can find my way around the basics such as actually posting blogs and choosing templates etc but I’m completely lost when it comes to adding other info that you all seem to have on your sidebar.  Just little things like a “welcome to my blog” picture and/or text, something other than the standard links.  The archives, blogroll and pages links all seem straight forward enough but I’m at a loss as to how to personalise it with the non standard stuff!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no technophobe, I know my way around html and I’ve built websites in the past, but wordpress just seems so much more confusing than blogger!  So I guess my question is should I just stick with blogger or are the benefits of wordpress worth the learning curve/extra work/reading through the help files and tutorials?  I know that a blog isn’t the best solution in the long term, but I don’t have the time or financial resources to get a website set up at the moment, especially as panty selling is unchartered territory for me right now.

I hope you’re able to shed some light on this for me and I look forward to hearing your views.

    Thanks!
    Ruby xxx

    I love wordpress.
I used to have my blog on blogger, its pretty simple to code, and you can use myspace CSS with it which is handy.  WordPress isnt so easy to code (I find at least) but it does have really good pre made layouts.  If you are patient I think wordpress is alot better.  Generally there is more traffic, more readers and commenters, as well as a better help guide.

Even though wordpress does NOT like adult blogs, most of us have gotten away with not being deleted.  As long as you keep it moderatly PG rated.  Its always good to download all your content regularly so if they DO shut you down you can re-open, or even import your data onto a similar blog site.

I have a secondary back up blog on sensualwriter, but the traffic there is REALLY low.
