Cut 'n' Paste Thread

I’m ill,I’m bored and I’m feeling pissy so I thought I’d devise a thread where we could gather all the responses that we have typed out a million times in reply to questions on the forum.

Rather than typing it all out again let’s just come tot his thread and cut ‘n’ paste the appropriate response.

I’ll start the ball rolling with:
