Hi everyone,
I asked Alertpay what kind of data would be visible to the person giving me money. They said the person will know the name on my account and my email. My email (hotmail), no problem. But my “name on the account” is it my real name or a sort of nikname? I’m a web designer and I can’t let my real name be associated to this “business” on the net. I would lose all my credibility!
Thank you so much!!April 29, 2008 at 10:05 am #21374AnnaMemberLose all credibility? Wow cheers mate.
Do you honestly think that your seller is going to Google you and hit you up for some sort of blackmail scam or something?
Why don’t you go back to Alertpay and ask what name will be on the account instead of casting aspersions on OUR credibility!
April 29, 2008 at 11:52 am #21386oishiigaijinMemberI didn’t mean to offend anyone. I’m sorry Anna. Why do you react like that? Why doesn’t anyone show the face? I don’t know what do you do in your real life, but I’m a freelance and I work on the net with my name. Maybe no one will google my name, but we in Italy say “fortune is blind, but bad luck can se way too mauch”. What if someone buys my panties, finds out my name and unfortunately is gonna even search for me to build a 10.000 $ website, for instance????? Maybe this person wouldn’t hire me because he thinks I’m “not serious”. Don’t you think? I dind’t offend anyone!!! If you can control other people’s mind, good for you!! But I’m not sure that the potential buyer and client would say “oh, what the hell, let’s hire her anyway”!!! It would be a better world. I just saw a lot of people here using Alertpay, so I thought I could ask. I’m sorry if my was so injurious. I’m just worried.
Thank you so much.April 29, 2008 at 11:55 am #21389PonygirlMemberJust use a business account and your name won’t be visible to buyers. I will say though, that you do not seem to have a great attitude to the panty selling “business”. If you are so concerned, why bother doing it at all? Surely with the fortune that you make from web design, you don’t really need to to!! If your heart isn’t in it, panty selling isn’t for you, its a lot of work and you really have to enjoy doing it.
April 29, 2008 at 3:02 pm #21401oishiigaijinMemberThanks for the advice Ponygirl.
I’m a newbie, just a little “scared” by this new thing. Which I hope I’ll enjoy. I live in Italy and not making any fortune with web design. It’s crises time down here. Not working that much.
Thank you so much again.April 30, 2008 at 1:16 am #21408AnnaMemberoishiigaijin wrote:

Thank you so much. You’ve answered your own question. What you said was offensive!
So what you are saying is…..the seller may find out your real name. Then she wants a website building. She sees your name. Recognises it. Thinks you can’t be taken seriously and refuses to commission you? That is complete nonsense. Utter crap.
Or perhaps you think she will tell everyone she knows, and one of those people wants a website building and will recognise your name…etc etc?
You are being ridiculously paranoid.
April 30, 2008 at 3:40 am #21411Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberAnna, oishiigaijin is Italian so her English might come across as a bit abrubt without meaning to.
I can’t help because I have no idea how Alertpay work but it should be somewhere in their help and advice section. Usually your email and your account name are given to the customer, not normally your real name unless you used your real name as your account name (gets a bit confusing).
I think you should contact Alertpay and ask them to clarify it properly. It would be interesting to know for other sellers as well.
All in all, its a pretty small risk that anyone would know its you – I am sure other people have the same name and if it ever did happen that you got recognised from your other business, all you need to to is deny it 🙂
As for showing faces. Most don’t because most have full time jobs in which they cannot take the chance to get recognised by the general public. It is also dangerous if you live in a popular area and not only that your pics can get stolen on the web and used and abused by other webmasters – if you don’t show your face (apart from to your clients) your panty secret is pretty safe.

April 30, 2008 at 4:49 am #21417AnnaMemberWhy would somebody be so concerned about a buyer finding out her name…and then tell the world that they are a web designer in Italy?
Doesn’t make sense
April 30, 2008 at 1:00 pm #21423oishiigaijinMemberAnna, I’m sorry I didn’t clearly identify myself as a seller, but I thought the fact that I’m concernd about “the person giving me money” might find out my name, made my role pretty clear.
Actually it makes a lot of sense. As a web designer freelance, I’m registered in a lot of freelancer’s portals, forums and stuff, with my real name. Some of them don’t even allow you to show a nickname.
I do google people and know a lot of italian and foreign people doing it all the time, at work, instead of playng normal videogames like anyone else.
If someone googles my name to find some comment in a forum or whatever, sayng “this girl is a great designer” or the opposite, just to know if I’m reliable, good at what I do, what if this person finds out a post saying “this girl sells her panties”?
Sadly, not everyone is so open minded to not care about that. A lot of people think that selling your used panties is disgusting, not only buying. And people also love gossip!!!
That’s what I’m concerned about.
Anyway, I’m so sorry. Maybe I expressed wrong because english is not my first language. So, everyone, please, ask me if you don’t understand something I say or think I say something wrong, because it might be only a language issue.
Are we cool?April 30, 2008 at 1:16 pm #21425DesireMemberto be honest if you really are that concerned out your credibility i would question if panty selling is for you???
i know that does not sound very helpful but it is something for sellers/buyers to enjoy and i am wondering if you could do that when you have so many concerns

Yes it was clear, after I read it for the second time.
We’re used to sellers introducing themselves though…
“Hi everyone, I’m ****** and I’m new to panty selling. I have some questions if you don’t mind…. etc etc“
Of course we understand your concerns but even still…they are rather unfounded. If you use a nickname and stay discreet then nobody will know who you really are or what you do.
If you are that concerned about a buyer seeking you out and posting your real name all over the internet then you will never enjoy this fetish.
