Of course its not true. How can you be a slut when a) you don’t fuck your clients and b) you charge a fee for a tangible item.

Your friend needs to grow the hell up. To be honest if you enjoy doing this and your friend doesn’t respect your decision then I’d dump her.

Nobody has the right to call you names just because they don’t agree on something you do. I don’t stand for that kind of shit from anyone and I wouldn’t have these kinds of people in my life at all.

You never even meet your clients yet alone sleep with them! Your friend seems conservative, so her intense response was probably her way of coping. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was envious of you being comfortable with your sexuality and your personal freedom. People like to judge others to elevate themselves. A real friend, even if they didn’t like what you were doing because of their own moral code, wouldn’t judge you by it.

Koette, your friend saying it to you and offending you is sad and unfortunate, yet somewhat predictable in mainstream society.

My only point is that in the book I read it talks about embracing and being proud of our sluthood, and not taking offense. It recommends that instead of being offended, we consider that we may be just a bit more enlightened and sexually open, or free than our friend.

If it were a man doing it, the term used would probably be stud, and in our society it seems to be OK, or even encouraged for a man to be a stud…
