Panty buyers who have been buying for years – please vote!
Two things prompted me to wonder about this. The first was a panty seller who told me her sales have been suffering because of a deluge of new sellers who are doing this for a quick thrill or a fast buck and “think it’s cool to sell a pair of panties for $3.” The second is the recent number of posts by new sellers introducing themselves (but who don’t have links to websites or pictures in their introductions – they are basically “e-mail me to buy my used panties” posts.)
I’m wondering, has the used panty “market” widened enough that lots of new sellers are entering the market (and undercutting to get sales), thereby driving the price down? (This assumes demand does not rise proportionally to the increase in supply.) I’m curious about longtime panty buyers’ perceptions on price, as one indicator of whether or not this is true/widespread.
Please vote or comment! 🙂
January 13, 2006 at 7:58 am #5757andieMemberInteresting. I’ve been an active buyer for several years now. I’ve seen quite a few come and go. If you look back at the early posts in these forums you’ll see lots of hit and run sellers who disappeared never to be heard from again. I haven’t really noticed that it is any more now than usual. I think it is just that there wasn’t a place like panty hog before where new sellers had the opportunity to get noticed as easily. Before, they might post an auction and disappear, now they can actually announce their arrival.
Since new sellers actually can get noticed and get help here though, I think more have the opportunity to actually get a business established if they’re willing to put some work into it and stick it out.
As far as the prices go its the same way with any new business. A new business has to give buyers a reason to give them a try. Once they get a few sales they seem to bring their panty prices in line with the norm.
Just my ideas… jo
January 13, 2006 at 8:17 pm #5759jazzyMemberDear Karen,
Regards prices and buy one get one free etc.etc. i am very dubious about these sort of sales.
I was conned on my first attempt at buying then found Cindy.
All her products are of a high standard but more important is the lady herself.
She has been very good to me with all that i have purchased and i now have a very dear friend and that is something you cannot put a price on.Sadly even in this trade some people are out to make a fast buck so i will stay with the best,
Sellers come and go but friends are for life, just my opinion.smt  Jazzy  smt
January 13, 2006 at 8:45 pm #5760AnonymousGuestI sold my first pair of panties 2 days ago…I’m getting 40$ a pair…that I’ll wear for 48hrs and masterbate in them before I remove them and send them….I thought that was a fair and reasonable price…I guess I’m over charging…but he said he’ll probably be a repeat customer…so we’ll see if my naughty panties are worth the price…I think they are…I love the way I smell why shouldn’t others….Candee KISSES
January 13, 2006 at 10:20 pm #5762ClarkGriswaldMemberYou need a “Beats Me” choice in that poll. I’ve never sniffed a pair of dirty panties in my life. Just found this site a few days ago while surfing for xxx pics. Asked me last week if I had any interest in sniffing panties and I would of told you that it sounded disgusting. Now I find myself very curious to find out what all the stink’s about (pun intended).
January 14, 2006 at 12:40 am #5764ebareMemberHi Karen,
Yes, we’ve noticed a great many new panty sellers joining eBare recently, ladies who, by the style of their auctions and lack of personal site etc, you can tell that this is probably their first time. We’ve noticed from our site referrals that we’ve had a great many people coming in from posts on forums – unfortunately when we go in to have a look and see whats been written about the site ( hey – everyone wants to know whats been written about them 🙂 – its usually been removed but not before sending alot of people through. We think this is where some of the UK ‘newbies’ are coming from. They see the success and attention the sellers on the site receive and find its a turn on and they’ll have a go. Obviously once they get alot of interest – which any new seller does it boosts confidence to go out and find other places to sell their items and then another panty girl is born…
Trouble is as a ‘newbie’ they are very eager to please and very bouyed up by all the attention and can sometimes be taken advantage by seasoned buyers (not all we hasten to add) with very low prices. But once they have a few auctions under their belt thet tend to have looked around to see what everyone else is doing and follow suit.
Thats just our experience on eBare it may be completely different elsewhere. Brace yourselves for another influx after Tuesday then…….
January 14, 2006 at 4:12 am #5765AngylMemberI’ll jsut be anotehr newbie voice here.
I agree that like any business, there are a lot of people that are come and go. That’s a given. I think things like this are gaining more visibility in the public eye and a lot more girl are willing to try to help pay tuition or wahtever.
I’m not sure that I wholeheartedly agree that there are “a lot” of girls out there that so this cheaper than most established girls. When I decided the pricing on my panteis, i looked around to waht people were charging and picked something that was inline. It made sense to me, also, bc you have to factor in shipping, buying the panties, etc. I don’t think it’s a sound business decision to be selling you panties for less than the price you put into it, you know?
Anyway, I’m not sure an influx of new sellers would influence the market enough to drive prices down. it will raise competition, but unlike most businesses, a certain amount of trust and a lot of work is required in this, and I think for that reason, most of the cheapie people will be driven out.
Just a newbies opinion, though.

Brace yourselves for another influx after Tuesday then…….What’s happening on Tuesday?
January 14, 2006 at 8:33 am #5768leatherznzpiceMemberHi Karen,
I think prices go up in general, in line with the prices of everything else. I don’t think new sellers have much influence on the prices of established sellers at all, part of the price that established sellers command is down to all the hard work they have put in over the years in providing quality products and building up a cleint list that know and appreciate quality. Part of their price is a ‘premium’ then as buyers know they can expect quality items.
We’ve all seen new sellers appear on the scene, some come and go, and some remain to build up their sites and clients. I do think that PHOG has encouraged more sellers to register and advertise here, it’s free and it’s a good way to get the message out to the Panty buying community.
PS LisaB what is happening on Tuesday, as ClarkGriswald asked

January 15, 2006 at 1:50 am #5778ebareMemberOn Tuesday eBare have been invited as guests on Kerrang! Radio to talk about ebare/used panties etc.
It will be broadcast live online at http://www.whatson.com/kerrang/Â or UK bods can go to Sky TV Channel 933 and NTL channel 895 betwen 10pm and 1am GMT – so all our good friends in the US will be spared the ‘strangled cat-like’ sound of my voice :cheer:
We just think that if listeners go have a look at eBare a great many will think – ‘I can do that!’ – whether or not they will stand the test of time is another matter entirely.
But back to Karen’s inital point… ‘newbies’ may well underprice to start with simply because they havent looked around enough to know the ‘average’ prices. Most are simply doing it because they find it a turn on and love the attention they receive – the financial gain is more of an afterthought at first.
On the upside as well as pantie sellers it should also bring in lots of pantie buyers too 😉
January 15, 2006 at 11:03 am #5780leatherznzpiceMemberaha LisaB that sheds light on your Tuesday hunch, I did see the front page announcement, I just forgot the date you’re show was going out on the air
Yeah, I take your point that your broadcast may well bring some more sellers and buyers into the community.
