[tt]Here’s my question. My mailbox continues to be full of these offers for penis patches, imitation Viagra, and “OEM” software. This shit all comes from former USSR countries and Asian places like Laos.

Now what I don’t get is after years now of them sending this shit, why do they still do it? I can’t imagine that anyone would be so gullible as to actually buy this shit from these people. First off you probably give them your credit card information, they charge it, and you don’t get anything sent to you. Even if they did send you something, is anyone really so stupid as to take some pill they got from some third-world country with who knows what’s in it?

My poll asked if you’ve ever tried to buy something from these spams.Â :laugh:[/tt]

Since it’s cheap and easy to spam, the spam shotgun approach probably gives them a certain amount of return or they would stop. DOn’t forget that spam hits worldwide and people in those countries might not see a problem with buying (and ingesting) products from that area.

I’m sure that since there is no IQ or logic test given to people who buy computers, those spammers do get a reasonable numbers of sales. The internet is full of scammers because the internet is full of suckers. P.T. Barnum was correct when he said one was born every minute.

But hey, the stuff might just work:huh:?Â lmao

Yep, I’m with Krooze in that it’s cheap to spam and some people do respond, making it a worthwhile venture for the spammers.

I never respond to that crap.Â I’m sure some people do find good deals from it (for instance, internet pharmacies – we have quite a few in Canada), but I don’t want to encourage the spammers.Â I’ll get my penis patches/breast enlargement patches/OEM software/viagra/cheap Rx/”free iPod”/foreign lottery winnings elsewhere!Â LOL!

there are thousands of new users connecting to internet from all ages everyday. They are clueless and considered fresh blood. Those spammers target them and even the so called “seasoned” users who still aint got a clue. Hey, still %85 of people using Internet Explorer. what do you say to that?? preference? choice? nah…
