Killer Panties – A Special Health Report

Used Panty Health Risk?Killer smile, killer legs, killer ass, we've heard of ladies with plenty of "killer" attributes, but killer panties? Lovers of used, worn panties often give their highest satisfaction ratings to an acquired pair of panties that were able to retain the dewy dampness and fragrance associated with the wearer. The women that sell their panties understand this, and often go to great lengths to assure that their panties contain an adequate amount of evidence in the gusset to prove that they were indeed worn by a sexy lady. Airtight plastic baggies are a must for even the most damp of panty sellers to prevent dry out during shipping, and with the lower cost of vacuum sealing equipment, panty sellers that use them can now send a pair of panties half way across the globe with the knowledge that their panties will arrive to the buyer as wet and as gooey as they were when packaged.

Could the advances in packaging and the enjoyment of dirty panties be creating yet another health risk to add to the never-ending list of things that can kill us? Some think so. Research of this topic indicates that this question has been asked several times over the past few years. Articles written by various experts and physicians generally support the theory that the infectious pathogens that could be present in a woman's vaginal secretions will die out in the time it takes the panties to be delivered to the buyer. Viruses and bacteria that cause HIV, venereal diseases, and the like tend to have a rather short life once they leave a person's body, and therefore it would be highly unlikely that these risks would remain viable by the time they reached a panty buyer.

So far so good it seems for enjoyers of worn panties. However, with the launch of her used panty web site Lady Cherie renews the interest in the questions regarding possible risks associated with dirty panties. Lady Cherie has devoted a page of her site addressing this subject, and its content throws an interesting wrench into the discussion. On her page, Lady Cherie describes the possibility of passing on the Hepatitis C virus. Our research here at Panty Hog failed to turn up any information directly addressing Hepatitis C in used panties, vaginal secretions, or any reported cases of persons contacting this disease from used panties. On the other hand, we did find plenty of information on Hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is primarily spread through contact with blood of an infected person, and the spread through sexual contact is thought to be rather rare (source: CDC). As mentioned by Lady Cherie though, the Hepatitis C virus is reported to live far longer outside of the body than other pathogens. Just how long hepatitis C remains viable though depends on the source consulted. For example, a Canadian health site indicates seven days to months, while the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports sixteen hours to four days. Even at the CDC's more conservative estimate of up to four days (on a dry surface exposed to light and room air, not in an airtight, dark package that preserves dampness), it becomes possible for a panty buyer to receive their purchase within the life span of the virus.

In sum, unfortunately, the risk factor of Hepatitis C exposure from a pair of worn panties from an infected person is not completely clear. The good news again is that exposure through sex which would generally involve the normal vaginal secretions found in used panties, is reported as low. Lady Cherie, and others that raise concerns about possible health risks, should be commended however for bringing the possibly of risks to the attention of panty buyers who can then do their own research, and as adults, come to their own conclusion. With the knowledge that Hepatitis C, as with many of today's pathogens, is most easily spread through contact with blood, buyers of "specialty" used panties containing more than just the typical female secretions, might do well to consider such risks carefully.
