A kindlier, gentler Panty Hog?

Hi Folks,

Those that have been around awhile have heard this before, but following some recent events, I thought it would be a good idea to pipe in again.

Panty Hog is open to anyone that has an interest in the used panty fetish. In our year or so of existence we’ve seen that many people are into different aspects of panties and related or co-fetishes as well. It’s all good as far as I’m concerned. If what you see here interests you, welcome aboard.

We’ve also seen a variety of personalities, likes, dis-likes, and opinions. I think this makes the forum interesting, and also gives us all a chance to learn about what’s out there, how other people think, how insane some people appear, etc.

These differences that make Panty Hog an interesting place to spend some time, have also resulted in some hurt feelings, heated discussions, and vows to never darken our door again. We had a contributing member delete all his posts and close his account just today, and I’ve read through the current thread regarding payment processors that has become “interesting”.

Please feel welcome to voice your opinion here. Remember too that everyone is a little different. Despite some requests to do so, I don’t think we should ban anyone just because they dislike something. However, keep in mind, if you’re going to barge into the forum with both guns blasting out verbage that you know isn’t going to go over too well here, you’d better also be able to handle the fact that you’re going to get strong responses back. In other words, Judy, you are correct, you (and everyone else here) do have a right to post your thoughts without being unfairly attacked, on the otherhand, if you come in looking for a fight, don’t start screaming “foul” when you get one.

Short version – be nice to people even if you’re not into the same things they are. Be responsible for the content of your posts. Above all, have a great time for God’s sake! 🙂

May I just add here that those few who decide to type in capital letters means that you are shouting.  Even if your post was intended to be non-judgemental nor over opinionated, the moment the post appears in all caps really can be insulting, which will get any body’s back up immediately and any negative comments, no matter how small, will be taken more personally than a post written normally. (And its bloody hard to read too).

As you say PK everyone is entitled to their own opinions and they should expect opinions back when things are said in the forum which many do not find ethical.

I am sorry that someone has left but I feel it was over something very silly indeed and I was hoping that we could have a proper adult discussion about the topic.

Makes me think that these kinds of people are in fact very immature and shouldn’t really be here in the first place! So, if you are under age – go away and come back when your older – its not a kindergarten here.

In general I feel we all get along apart from a very small minority, but these few do tend to make their own beds to be honest and ask for it sometimes.

🙂 Well, if there isn’t a full moon this weekend there should be. The forum has been “wackier” over the last few days than I’ve ever seen. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking anyone to hold their tongue. Do as you always do, just be fair. Far many more people read the forum here than actually post. What people don’t see are the emails I get behind the scenes even from people who’ve never posted a peep here. One email asks me to ban someone, the next says to do something about people picking on someone. I try to keep back as much as possible, but I don’t want people thinking I’m ignoring their concerns either. Where the hell is our voice of reason? Leatherez!!??  lmao

In keeping with the kindlier, more tolerant PHOG, I’ve changed my avater (for now) to a Mountie Bear, the epitome of politeness and tolerance  🙂
