Alertpay does appear promising. The fact that they offer an account especially for adult-related item payments clearly shows these transactions are accepted. Could be great news, if anyone has had experiences with using them, please share.? 😉

    My experience so far:
I signed up for an account. Got the email for validation… then when I tired to do that. I recieved and error. I guess their site is down currently for excepting new clients.  🙁
Nothing is going my way. *sigh* I ended up signing up with green zap. Though, I haven’t heard the greatest things about them. As soon as alertpay is back up i’ll finish signing up with them too.

    Hi MissAsuka,

I actually signed up when I was checking them out late last night, and didn’t have any trouble. You might want to email their customer service. I see that they also have a telephone to call as well. Good luck, and remember to tell us how it goes.

I had a good look at Alert Pay and it looks perfect BUT only if you live in the USA or Canada as they seem to only let you withdraw your money to these countries.

So UK and other countries, hold your horses before signing up!

Also, you have to sign up with the Secured Account if you run an adult business and their rates are quite high: Receive Fee: 3.9% + $0.59 per transaction.

Also I feel their fee of $25.00 for a Bank Wire to your bank is very steep, but they do offer a check or direct deposit.

I will contact them and find out if there are any other methods available for withdrawing outside US and Canada .. they seem to have conveniently missed this out in their FAQs lol

    Ill be back 🙂

WOW .. its SUNDAY and I have just received a reply from Alertpay.  Copy below:

    Hello Cindy,

    Thank you for contacting AlertPay.

AlertPay is available internationally, to all countries.  We conduct
all trasaction in US dollars, in the future we will likely support multiple currencies.

Currently, our members outside the US and Canada will only have a Check withdrawal option available. Our bank transfer withdrawal option is only be for US and Canadian residents to US and Canadian financial Institutions.

Checks are issued in US dollars, cost $2.00 USD and are sent regular mail within 1-2 business days of request.
    ——-

So guys and girls YAY .. but beware – my bank charges ?30.00 to even look at an international check/cheque – so find out first if its worth your while 🙂 .. but apart from that – I cannot fault their customer service whatsoever – I’m impressed! 😉

    Love Cindy x

So here’s my update… seems as if i really can’t activate/validate a alert pay account through my domain’s email… but it surely let me through my yahoo email. Freaky. So, yes, I have a alertpay account now too.

It sucks about the whole international check/cheque thing.  🙁

I used them.  Yeah they are good, For UK customers only being able to get a check is a pain in the a$$.  I was lucky my bank did not charge me for my first USD transaction. I do know that there is a UK based company set up to help UK sole traders/partnerships toute for US business by cashing USD cheques thru an account with them.

I will find a link and post it to you. I think they take the USD cheque or cheques convert them to sterling then send you a sterling cheque thru mail. plus they only charge a couple of quid sor as many cheques as u can fit in an envelope. I will find the details in amongst all my papers asap.

Here’s an update with my experience with alert pay. Actually not so good so far. I got my account open and seems ok. The bad news is that I’ve heard issues with 2 different clients on 2 different sides of the USA having the same problem. Basically that signed up for their account and verifed the deposit thing for their bank accounts… then when they trying to up load funds into their own account first the transactions get lost in their system. “WTF!?!” I thought. One client emailed them and that’s when they said oh it was lost in their system…sorry. That was crazy. Seems like a similar problem is going on with the other client too. This really sucks and I’m unhappy with alert pay so far because of this. I could be working on product to sell, but can’t because alert pay loses transactions. Not cool, seriously. Greenzap seems to be working better so far.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with Alertpay. We have used them now for advertising/sponsorhip related transactions without any glitches. Payment was made, and I was able to withdraw and get the funds without incident.

Have you actually received any money from your Greenzap account yet? I have recently filed fraud complaints with the consumer affairs divisions of the Attorney General’s office in both my state, and California (where Greenzap is located). The money went into my Greenzap account just fine, but the check Greenzap “sent” me when I asked to withdraw it in early November has never arrived. Five requests for information regarding this were never answered or even acknowledged. When Greenzap first started, they contacted me, and seemed to be a great possibility. Now I’m extremely sorry to have recommended them as a payment option. Based upon my experience, I would have to say that Greenzap is a scam.

Fabulous, so they’re all crap then?

I’m without an international payment processor after PPPay sent me packing. *Get this, they want me to pay to verify/upgrade my account, to withdraw the money, only to close it! Assholes! mad*

I’m thinking I might just stay nochex only from now on, I’m fed up of faffing about with cowboy companies.

Hold on with Nochex – I was sent this just today:

“With effect from close of business on the 15th February 2006 it will no longer be acceptable to use the Nochex service to process adult transactions and as a consequence all such Nochex accounts processing payments for adult related products/services will be suspended with effect from that date.

We would like to thank you for your business and we will aim to work with you over the next month whilst you obtain a replacement card processor.”

Oh for fucks sake .. this sucks .. Nochex are going around telling everyone different stories.  *yes I swore – doesnt happen often!*

I emailed them a few weeks ago when they started culling adult accounts and they informed me that my account was fine as long as I take off any explicit images in main view (yes even showing a bit of pubic hair was under that category) and not to sell any erotic DVDs etc.

They said that if any explicit images were behind a private passworded area that is fine and my account is safe.

Im going to email them now directly and see what they say.

    Thanks for the info Donna

I’ve had an email today saying that the fees are going to rise, but not that they’ll close me, although I’ve read that there’s been an announcement that it’s true. I can’t find it on their site. Classifieds were booted a few weeks ago too.

Ha, no Nochex! I do believe that that is me done! Panty site for sale, anyone want?
