Its TRUE!!!!!!!!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrg lol asshats 😥
Copy of email below:
Dear Cindy
Thank you for your email. I understand your concerns.
Unfortunately we are giving all adult related account holders notice of the suspension of their Nochex Seller accounts with effect from close of business 24:00 on 15th February 2006.
As you may or may not be aware, for some time now there has been pressure from many of the acquiring banks in the UK and North America to distance themselves from the processing of adult related transactions.
The Nochex acquiring bank have decided that it is no longer acceptable for Nochex to process adult transactions.
We do regret this change of policy however the matter is out of our control.

January 20, 2006 at 6:32 pm #5864Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberOk after half a bottle of wine Im still fuming, so I just wrote to the BBC…
My little outburst might be published here for everyone to see what a bunch of wankers the online processors have been treating us and dropping us like shit once they used us to get a foot on the ladder.
No mercy!

What the FUCK is it with payment processors and their acquiring banks? Oh sorry we can’t really accept payments for panties, we’re too fucking busy laundering money for arms dealers, drug cartels and various other REAL low life scum!
These twats need a wake up, they really frigging do.
Hey Nochex et al I suspect your businesses are going to go down down the tube chums. Without the build up that you all got from adult business, I suspect your ‘easy payment’ options are going to be as popular as a fart in a space suit fu
CIndy, I’ve bookmarked that url, well done, I’ll keep an eye on it to see if the BBC publish it.
As you say, No Mercy!
now where’s my Blackthorn Stang, I feel a need for the ':cheer:ark Arts’ to be exercised!!
January 20, 2006 at 6:45 pm #5866Delicious_JessMemberCinder hun, I love you. You crack me up. :cheer:
Well that’s me done. A new site with no efffing payment processor! It says on the forums that the charge leap is possibly there to make up the shortfall for us Adulters being booted. Serves you right!

January 20, 2006 at 7:23 pm #5879darkhairedkarenMemberI can’t get AlertPay to issue me a cheque for less than $20, and so far I only have $15.75 to withdraw from my account. :P I’ve tried to use it again as a payment option, but credit card verification has taken so long (or not happened at all) that it hasn’t happened and folks have just sent me cash.
All these payment companies that don’t have their acts together are really making the saying true: CASH IS KING!
January 25, 2006 at 3:10 am #5946cherieMemberI was (naturally!) hesistant about Alertpay; their patter is very reassuring to adult business owners, but really – as with all the other processors – it’s not the processing company, it’s the credit card company itself which has the last say. (Thanks, Visa!) Alertpay seems to address this by requiring extra precautionary measures, which would (in theory) reduce chargebacks, the prevalance of which in the adult industry is the reason for all the cc companies’ caution. (You know, guy pays for pornsite membership, wife says “honey, what’s this charge for?”, guy promptly calls the card company to report a fradulent charge – you get the picture)
So before I signed up I sent them this email:
Good People,
Your service has been suggested to me as a possible solution to the problem of accepting online payments for my tiny business. Because I sell “adult” products it’s been difficult to find a reliable processor that will take my transactions and those that do often change their policies after a few months. Your approach of requiring a higher fee & more stringent protective measures seems like a good compromise between the needs of small adult businesses and big credit companies like Visa who are naturally concerned about preventing chargebacks.
So here’s my question. I notice that one of the requirements for this account is a clearly defined return policy. Now what I sell actually is a particular sort of fetish item, ladies underwear and other clothing that has been worn. Not used clothing, but unlaundered worn items; what the buyer is actually after are the smells etc that remain on the clothing. Since this is essentially a service rather than a product, my policy has been to give replacement items rather than refunds if a customer is dissatisfied with their order. What I want to know is a) are such products acceptable under your policies? and b) is this replacement policy acceptable to you?
Thanks,
CherieTheir reply:
Hello Cherie,Thank you for contacting AlertPay.
a) You products are acceptable within AlertPay terms, however as you are probably aware of you must
open an AlertPay Secured account.b) This policy applies, you state the terms and conditions of your return/refund/replacement
policy. We assume this will be stated to your members before payment is made. Once your members
agree to this, they have agreed to your terms. This tells me that Alertpay is ok with my business right now, however, I sincerely doubt that the “extra precautions” (since they consist of nothing more than telling adult business owners that they must have a return/refund policy, without ANY kind of verification or standards) are going to pass muster with the credit card companies (particularly Visa). Now I also know Visa WILL accept adult stuff, they just require adult businesses to pay twice as much to register; maybe Alertpay has negotiated some kind of deal with them to offset the higher risk with higher fees…or maybe Alertpay will also have a change of heart a few months down the road, when Visa is threatening to stop doing business with them.

CherieJanuary 25, 2006 at 3:20 am #5947darkhairedkarenMemberI am still having aggravating experiences with AlertPay – they are even slow in verifying funding by a bank account. Methinks that once I get a second payment through that service I’m getting them to send me a cheque then closing down my account. If an online service is SLOWER than snail mail, guess what… I’m going with the snail mail (heck, it’s even free.)
Triple sheesh.
January 25, 2006 at 6:59 am #5950andieMemberMaybe you’re having trouble because you’re out of the US DarkhairedKaren? I won an auction this weekend from a seller that only accepted Alertpay so I had to signup and use them. It took me about five minutes to register, get my confirmation and pay her. No problems at all with Alertpay that I saw as a USA buyer buying from a USA seller. jo
January 25, 2006 at 8:16 am #5951darkhairedkarenMemberAndie, I’d be surprised if it made a difference (AlertPay is based in Montreal, Canada). The buyers I’ve had who tried to get credit cards verified with AlertPay were American. Who knows what’s going on over there! :I

To all you ladies is being very mean
Once they were happy to take your money
No more now they’re in the land of milk and honey
Why is it such a crime to sell your lingerie?
February 15th will indeed be a very sad dayTrying to take the bad news on the chin
Because we can’t let the likes of Nochex win
We hope and pray an alternative can be sought
So your gorgeous panties can still be bought
Life is not the same without your scented drawers
I have a simple message for you Nochex “Up Yours”                  fu
             Â
PS: Nochex i hope your business will soon disappear
And when it does no one on here will shed a tearJanuary 25, 2006 at 2:57 pm #5953AngylMemberI’ve used alertpay once and it went along fine, except they’re slow to get your money to you. It also took a really long time to get my bank account and stuff verified. My customer said the same thing.
January 25, 2006 at 10:40 pm #5955ClarkGriswaldMemberWorked ok for me now twice. Did what it was meant to do.
February 1, 2006 at 5:36 am #6019darkhairedkarenMemberI requested a withdrawal from AlertPay through cheque today. I’ll let you know if the cheque actually gets here and if it cashes okay. :) Even with all the other hassles, I’d consider continuing to accept them if I could for sure get my money, at least!
