From http://www.blog.alertpay.com/
We have just received notice from our new credit card processor that we cannot process VISA or MasterCard credit card payments at this time… read more
March 9, 2009 at 6:57 pm #25255adminKeymasterYes, Alertpay has had this happen in the past too. Each time though they work it out and bring back credit cards. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Did you notice the statement regarding a third party having something to do with their credit card processing woes? In other words, Alertpay appears to be saying that Paypal is putting pressure on the card processers/issuers to drop Alertpay. That isn’t too hard to believe.

March 9, 2009 at 10:54 pm #25257SerenaMemberSadly it isn’t.
Paypal, bunch of capitalists scum
:crazyMarch 10, 2009 at 12:28 am #25258anniMemberWTF? How is Alertpay competition for Paypal? They don’t even allow the transactions Alertpay does.
They are more than just capitalists, they are a bunch of bullies. Seriously, I wish paypal would get out of my life and stop fucking around with the things I love.
…or at least the things I am very fond of and respect.
I want to punch something. I want to punch paypal and mastercard and the dummy who got the transaction that caused this mess even though it’s probably not his/her fault.
Grr………..
March 10, 2009 at 12:32 pm #25262gemma_ypgMemberI’ve been with Alertpay for ages now and you’re right PK they’ve been through it before and they’ve managed to resolve it eventually. It’s a bugger in the mean time though.
I can vouch that they are very careful about doing the right thing too, they checked me out to find out what I was selling and make sure it was above board. It’s such a shame that they’ve tried to provide a good service and keep getting stuffed around.

Hey Gemma
What do you mean by above board?
Please expand.. you got me all worried now 🙁March 10, 2009 at 1:09 pm #25265gemma_ypgMemberOoops, sorry Serena, I didn’t mean to freak anyone out.
They contacted me asking what type of business I was using my Alertpay account for, what website (if any) I use for it and what product or service the money pays for.
I answered that I sell used underwear, I have been doing it online since 2007 with no chargebacks etc, sent them my website url for them to take a look at and there was no problem at all. 🙂
I assume they wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something naughty (not fun type naughty of course) and it all checked out so no problem.

Ethical and refreshing company policies to say the least.
I’m going to open an Alertpay Lovers Group.
Please join.March 10, 2009 at 3:59 pm #25269LarasexypantiesMemberAll this situation really sucks.
Wish it would resolve soon..March 10, 2009 at 6:14 pm #25270TululaMemberHello I was attacked by evil PP also!! And my alertpay is a no go!! But to avoid giving out Personal Info I sugggest setting up a DBA (doing Buisness As) Allows you to accept funds under another name… It is resonalbly inexpensive (under 100$ here in NY) and it allows you to open biz account at a bank… and register your biz at a mail center. But as for the adult nature of the biz… sad to say the only way around that is a legit front!
Sell something kosher… and from the look of it there is no way to do direct sales from your site!Well Live and Learn….
Please let me know if you ladies have found more reliable solutions!! I am an eager beaver and sales were doing well up till pp shut me down…:mad:March 10, 2009 at 6:32 pm #25271SerenaMemberTulula wrote:

This topic has been discussed so many times and the message has always been very clear: Paypal does not allow adult transactions.
One can choose to ignore it and pull the “But other sellers use it” & “I thought I’d get away with it” cards, but that’s immature and lazy. Its not like there aren’t other online payment options available.
Paypal does have spies, they are known for monitoring the adult community very closely and they make sure they keep your cash when you breach their Ts&Cs. They are scam and you should have not been given them money to begin with. But as for the adult nature of the biz… sad to say the only way around that is a legit front!

March 10, 2009 at 8:04 pm #25272TululaMemberIt seems I didn’t explain myself well… After my first warning I did not offer PP for payment of those types of items but because I posted on these particular sites I was penalized. I do have a non adult sales … and that is what I used that form of payment for.. but it didn’t matter to them…

Do you mean lie about what you’re selling?
No not lie.. actually offer something non-adult -Diversify your product line…
But as soon as Alertpay gets its bugs worked out and I get verified I think it will be a great option to do direct sales….
March 10, 2009 at 9:00 pm #25277anniMemberI would not use paypal for any reason, adult or non-adult, period. Time and again they have proven their service to be too risky for my use not to mention their sneaky, bullying behavior.
March 10, 2009 at 10:22 pm #25279TululaMemberI think I agree.. They have such a choke hold on so many online markets right now!! I have regular… clothing sales for c/ds and new fetish wear on ebay and now that has been shot to hell because of them (my kosher biz)… I did’t even link one biz to the other… but the little shits of pp.. farreted out.. Oh well! (my fault I left a link on one auction to my fetish kosher site and that was enough for pp to shut my account for ‘non-compliance’ It was just a Link an Ad!! Not a logo or a suggestion that I even accept PP for payment )
For the new stuff I am trying to decide whether it is worth getting a Merchant account to accept Visa.. Well it was great venting!! And chances are it is a blessing.. should be supporting them anyway! Lets give alertpay our support!!
