    Hi Guys and Gals

Thought I’d pick your brains regarding anti-virus programmes. The free Norton trial has run out on my notebook so I haven’t been using it for a few weeks until I buy some software. My problem is that I haven’t a clue what to get. I’ve read through dozens of reviews on Amazon and basically if I want a happy life I should avoid at all costs, Norton, McAfee and Zonelabs. The more I research the more desperate it seems to be!

    What does everyone else use?

I use a cracked McAfee Professional package on my PC, haven’t had any problems yet, but it is way out of date now so that needs upgrading too.

    HELP!

Use Nod 32 its fabulous. I had enough of Norton as they were getting sloppy these past months.

Nod 32? Do I buy it? Is it shareware?

YOu must buy it but its great, it doesnt take over like Norton and it updates itself silently and ALOT more than Norton ever did.  hang on Ill get the link …. its not cheap but its brilliant and worth every penny.

Currently,I use Norton but I’m thinking of changing that after the first of the year because like Cindy posted, Norton seemed like they were getting sloppy. ( I could add to that statement other things, but I would probably get kicked outta here by alot of people )
I think I might go with a McAfee program ( not sure 100% yet on that )
You got some good posts to help ya Anna and I wish ya the best of luck as you make your choice! I’m sure every program has its flaw here and there, but whatever you go with, you will make the most out of it!! :cheer:

I’ve got NOD32 now on my PC and my notebook and I’ve had no problems so far. I haven’t even had to tell it what sites I can accept like other anti-virus programmes that want confirmation for absolutely everything.

I must say, I love my McAfee. Its worth $30 to me every year to be protected.  I’ve never had any problems with it, whatsoever.

Here is a google listing of free antivirus programs:

I have heard that the grisoft product is very good, so that might be your ticket!

    Good luck!
