Simple answer to the nominations for next year, No seller can nominate themselves.
As for only one nominating on a award, let it stand. As a buyer, i have taken the time to write in and put forward my nomination for a seller, if other buyers can`t be bothered, then sorry, they have had plenty of time before the nominations closed.
Also as stated already, all nominees should be a member of PH.
Sorry to point this out, but its mainly the buyers that really decide who wins what awards.
If i ruffled a few feathers, sorry, but now is not the time for all this, let the awards carry on as they are and in the new year, go though the voting and awards system again.Mike
December 19, 2006 at 7:20 pm #11421Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberI agree it is up to the buyers, including for nominations unless its for specifically related to other sellers. It seems there is only one or two categories anyway who only have one seller in them but it just seems silly they win immediately without needing any votes.Â
Maybe PK can sort out a special acknowlegement prize for those sellers?

I do see your point Cinds, but my guys took a LOT of time to vote for me and if they realised their opinions and nominations were getting overlooked just because other people didn’t nominate someone then surely it’d put them off participating in the future?Rachy

I do ‘get it’ lol, I just don’t agree! :cheer:Rachy
xxPerhaps some of the misunderstanding is because votes and nominations are two completely different things. So I imagine there are some crossed wires here?Â
I understood it that you won an award by votes NOT nomination? I for one wouldn’t be pleased by winning an award purely through default but of course I would be honoured to have been nominated regardless.
Incidently, there are only two sellers who have ‘their own’ category so far and all the nominations aren’t in so perhaps we should wait until the end and then have a discussion about what actually happened?
December 19, 2006 at 7:24 pm #11423Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberI have no idea why you are getting catty Rachy, it doesnt even affect you hon, LOL !!!

Well put Mike! And thats all I wanna say on it. Cindy, I know I don’t agree with you, Anna and Jess but there’s a lot more people to consider than just you three.
Have fun 😉
smt
RachyWas there really any need for that? Is that because we don’t agree with you? I’m quite shocked Rachy, you’ve surprised me!
December 19, 2006 at 7:28 pm #11425Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberIt is a valid adult point that we raised and I still think you cannot WIN something with NO votes. I feel in this instance that PK should make a special acknowledgement award for those girls in a single horse race who were nominated but was not possible to be voted for.

I never intended to be ‘catty’ so Cindy, Anna and Jess I apologise if it came across that way. I just meant there are over 5000 members here, we are all entitled to an opinion without risk of being told we ‘are not getting it’Rachy
Only you have been told that by one other member Rachy. I’m sorry that you attacked all of us
December 19, 2006 at 7:43 pm #11427mikegukMemberDing Ding, end of round one, or time please ladies, finish your drink`s and go home  lmao

December 19, 2006 at 9:45 pm #11433DavCMemberI’m putting my head above the parapet here. Oh Well – Tell Mother I loved Her!
Though I’m relatively new here, I’ve been buying for around 5 years or so. For what its worth:-
Voting should be by PH members only. I just have a niggling concern that the voting could be skewed otherwise – though I see that there are precautions to limit/prevent that.
Single nominations for a particular prize should default as null & void. Its meant to be a bl**dy award not a procession! . This is the opportunity for your (all of you sellers that is) customers to show their appreciation. The only exception should be a couple of special categories where the community (buyers & sellers) can nominate a seller for a particular special prize. Just to make a point, why not a best buyer award next year for someone who really gives you an smile/buzz/laugh from selling to them? Again – its about the community (well I think it is and I’m smt with all of you!)
Finally,
we have just proven below that e-communication (with its lack of eye contact and face observation) is singly the worst way for people to discuss anything. I’m sure its why wars are getting worse – if only we actually met people more instead of bloody typing etc
Well there you have a newbies point of view.
Dons tin hat and ducks down
INCOMING!
🙂
David(And I haven’t had any bribes yet either
) December 19, 2006 at 10:00 pm #11435adminKeymasterWe do have some categories with only one nomination, and some with no one in the category at all. None in a category is easy, that category is dumped. One in a category is obviously more complicated. The biggest complication is that ebare auctions has offered a very nice prize to the person voted best UK auction seller and we only have one person in that category. I would like to have at least one more person in that category. There has got to be more than only one lady in all of the UK who does a nice job with auctions   right?!
As far as the other one person categories, there is no voting to be done so it won’t be listed on the voting card. I don’t see any problem with people’s nominations not being recognized, they are listed on the nomination pages which are now a permanent part of the Panty Hog site.
One thing I wanted to mention too after reading through this thread is that both buyers and sellers should vote. For example, it should theoretically be only sellers that are voting in the category for “Most helpful to new sellers”. Then again, a buyer who has been around here for a while might vote in that category as well if he has seen a particular lady being especially helpful to new sellers just starting out.
I would personally prefer that you had to be registered and logged in to vote. After all, as per our index/adult warning page, you are supposed to be a member to even go past the first page of the site. As I recall though, we started this way last year, and I got a mailbox full of complaints so we decided to not restrict the voting to the logged in only.

December 19, 2006 at 10:29 pm #11436AnnaMemberDavC – You feel free to rant on and offer advice and suggestions as much as you like, sadly we’re very short of buyer input on here these days and your opinions do matter. I think you have made some very good points there. (By the way I have a gusset that needs cleaning).

Just to clarify – the nomination will be recognised but no award awarded?

A lot of help goes on on these boards as well as behind the scenes and buyers may well notice this so thay should have some input on this sort of award.
Keep up the good work there PK

[
They are recognized right now on the nominees’ pages and the nominee can indicate that they’ve been nominated in that category if they wish on their site, blog, etc. Do you mean as in a mention at the Awards?PK
