    I am absolutely furious!

I have been burgled, whilst in the house, watching TV, this evening. The %^&*$s crept in through the back door and swiped my handbag and keys from the kitchen table. We heard the door creak, so I quickly opened the living room door to let the dog out and it was her barking that made the scrotes scarper. In their panic they dropped my bag but made off with my car keys AND my house keys. My car is now parked at the local copshop until I can arrange to get all those locks replaced…and that is after I get the house locks replaced.

The entire incident took less than 5 seconds.

Am now considering another dog and dog number 1 is stone deaf and dog number 2 is too cute to be scary.

 Wow. That is some pretty scary news. Was the back door locked? Do you have somewhere else to stay until your locks are changed?

    🙁 PK

It was my daughter who was in tears. She’s in my bed with a baseball bat.

The back door was unlocked. It is incredibly squeaky and with having two big dogs I suppose I have just got a bit complacent.

I’ve locked the back door and left the key in so they can’t get in and the front door has two deadbolts so they can’t get in that way either.

    I wasn’t scared. I was just mad. 😡

Thank goodness for my dog. Although if I didn’t have my dogs I would have probably been in the habit of locking my door a bit more often.

    Hey Anna,
I’m glad you’re both safe. When I was living with my parents our place was broken into while I was home alone. I know what you mean about being mad, not scared. My sister was an insomniac for weeks after the break in. It’s terrible, but often petty crooks are the hard ones to catch. But karma will hunt the arseholes down.
    Stay safe

Thanks for all your thoughts and best wishes you lovely panty people you :silly:

I have a great big security light fitted over the back door now that lights up my neighbours properties. The poor dog looks a bit distraught now at having to poo in the spotlight.

I’m also remembering to lock the door every time I go through it. The things you have to remember now that your old dog is rubbish at guarding because he is now stone deaf.

i was thinking about this last night while i was tossing and turning, and you said you poor girl was just terrified, maybe you could see about letting her take some self defence classes. they have them for every age, and they are great for making you feel safer about things like that.
    be well.
