Citizenship tests, how much do YOU know about your country?

I just stumbled across the new British citizenship test, which is already being used to test immigrants on their knowledge of the UK before they are granted work permits and well…citizenship.

I know that alot of countries are doing this now and i cant help but think how many of the people already living in this country for many years, and those born and taught in our schools would actually pass the test?

The links below are to a couple of the sample tests, i’ve taken two, the first one I failed by a small margin, and the other a passed by an equally small margin.

I’m going to go search for the US one and see how badly I fail that too 😛

It IS interesting 🙂 Ad scarey at the same time lol.
I just took the US VOTE book questionnaire, it gives you 10 random questions from a stock of 100, and after taking it 4 times I passed twice and failed twice.
The first time I took it I got 9 out of 10!
But the next time it started asking about American senators and I just starting drooling and gibbering… 😛

Yeah dont sweat it luv…many of us here in the states can’t pass the damn thing either LOL…we are just get bored with it and pick anything…thank god I”m already born here or my happy ass would have been shipped to god knows where LOL

Here in Illinois, we’ve had to take a class and pass a Constitution Test in high school going back to way before I was of age. Also, as part of the Social Studies curriculum(sp?), there is a class that covers everything else in the citizenship test that wasn’t covered by the Constitution study. So at least the kids in Illinois are getting exposed to that info.

I know I couldn’t pass any Constitution Test or Citizenship Test currently. I can remember the bra sizes of all the girls I petted with in high school but I can’t remember if a Senator is elected fo 2 or 4 or 6 years!!!  :laugh:

But I’m still a good citizen! I voted in the local elections today! LOL
