I remember Jess having an article on her site about fake panty sellers and I used to link to it because I thought it was great information.
My question is: I have found the original article and want to either credit Jess and put her words on a page I will create so I can still link to the information on my site, not changing anything
or
out of respect should I leave her words where she left them and just rewrite the article in my own words, still accrediting Jess because it is her idea whether I rewrite it or not.
I’m leaning towards the latter because the former is basically laziness by copying and pasting and I don’t want to give the impression that I steal content.
However, Her words are pretty good and I don’t want to ruin it.
I’ll go ahead with the latter unless I hear something.

If anyone has anything to add to the article can tell me here or email me and we can chat about it.
I think rewriting it would be a billion times better if I can get some input from other panty sellers and buyers as well.
Group effort…lets get a dialog going. lol.
November 15, 2007 at 9:18 am #18359AnnaMemberYou can copy the whole lot as long as you credit her for it. Either at the top or at the bottom you can mention her name, but you can’t mention her site anymore because Delish-Discreet belongs to someone else now.
If you paraphrase it then you also need to credit her as all you are doing is adding to and moving around her own words.
If you write your article from scratch but you have her copy by the side of you then it would be courtesy to give her some credit ‘inspired by Jess, previous owner of Delish-Discreet’
The problem with crediting her is that not many know who ‘Jess’ is now, they certainly won’t in the future, and if you do mention Delish-Discreet in order to identify her then you would need to ask permission of the current owners of D-D because that domain name is their property now.
If you want to write an article on how to spot fakes from scratch, without using her words at all, then you are being original and no credit is needed.
In my opinion, you’d be better writing it from scratch and in your own style. Jess had a very distinctive style to those who knew her. If you use any of her work, and she finds out, she’ll come down on you like a ton of bricks.
November 16, 2007 at 1:15 am #18380anniMemberIt was never my intention not to credit her.
I like your point about how the site is owned by someone else and people in the future won’t know who she was.
I’m going to go ahead and write my own version but I think I will still mention that I got the idea from “Jess, a former seller”.
If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears.
November 16, 2007 at 8:00 am #18390AnnaMemberI don’t get it, if it’s in your own words why would you credit her for the idea? Giving buyers and sellers advice is hardly an original concept is it?
Do you credit other sellers who gave you lots of inspiration when you decided to sell panties, set up a site and you researched all their sites to get some idea of how to go about it?
I think it’s noble that you want to give credit where you think credit is due but is credit really due here?
November 16, 2007 at 7:46 pm #18396FetishKittenMemberThinking about it i’d have to agree.Â
I’ve re-read it and if you want to accredit then do, if not then dont.ÂI think I just get paranoid because some people do read more into this kind of than others. I see it as flattery if someone takes something i’ve done to try and help others, or takes an influence. Hell I’ve got my influences here its the whole reason I started a blog!Â
November 17, 2007 at 4:17 pm #18409anniMemberI do credit the person who inspired me to start selling on my website in my bio. I just think credit is due because the idea for the specific subject of fake sellers is not my own.
