What courier company do you use that requires you to sign for a package?

I think your Royal Mail is a little bit better than the service we receive in North America.  I’d much rather entrust my package to a courier.

Great idea for a poll, but it’s a little biased suggesting that someone will have to sign for it.

Im so sorry Louise I didnt realise that in Canada you have a special courier service in which they deliver without signature. Totally my error there *silly me*  :rolleyes:

In Europe all special deliveries, recorded deliveries and courier mail must be signed for as far as I am aware .. I dont think my poll was biased in any way shape or form that is why I included a variety of choices.

But hey – you can always do another poll for your Canadian fans 🙂

I know of 1 other Canadian gal, though I won’t reveal her here. Not sure what her policy is on revealing her location.

My privacy also affects my mail/courier decision.  I can’t wait until I have saved up enough for a post office box and get payments from my customer more easily.  And maybe some other goodies too.

Royal Mail has always been good for me. Apart from when I ordered an expensive red ventian glass door knob and it went “missing” in transit  :rolleyes: I swear I’ve seen it on the post office door!

I think a courier rolling up at the door isn’t all that discrete. I offer a signed for delivery free of charge and only one customer so far has opted for it so it’s not that popular given the choice. I still use it for stuff like expensive prints though.

Oh, I know the feeling of wanting a PO Box but they’re a real expense when you’re just starting out, but it’d be great to accept cheques and postal orders. With PO box’s I just wish you could opt for them to redirect the stuff to your door. I feel like I live at the post office as it is  😛

Something similiar to this is actually reported to be taking place in Japan. For a while, school girls were able to to sell their panties to a panty broker who would in turn sell them to panty fans through a store or through vending machines (yes, vending machines). Selling minors’ underwear was then ruled illegal (good idea) and the school girls’ fun money dried up. Now, it is said that the girls have set up elaborate text messaging services where the end result is that the buyer meets the girl someplace, gives her the cash, and she whips off her goods right there and hands them over. Sounds just a bit dangerous to me.

I had to laugh my head off about door to door selling though … I guess the freshness factor is “out the window” then doing that.

I have heard about the vending machines in Japan too, blimey .. I can just imagine some poor soul getting a pair of panties that have been in there for ages and receiving something really dried up and crunchy .. or even worse MOULDY! …? HHAAHAA how gross is that. :ohmy:

Champers .. As for driving a van …hahaa.. I am a BMW girl how did you know? … But I am forced to drive a van soon to collect my things from storage for my house .. nah, actually… sod that, Ill get my partner to drive the van and Ill follow in my BMW hahaa .. yeah ok youre right Champers!
