HOW DARE a site has the audacity to come here, advertise for free when the webmistress has stolen almost ALL My own graphics (oh touched some of them up a bit of course!), stolen all my form layouts, all my FAQs, even my own pictures of my packaging items, my privacy policy, even has the cheek to call her links page “Hot Links” same as me and copy almost entirely word text from my site on her order page!
And made a lot of the text into graphics because she thought I wouldnt find out – HA!
Girlfriend, you picked on the wrong gal to steal from! Ive been around a loooong time and people look out for me.
Her site is:
http://www.privateadultservices.com/panties/home.htmMiami – you have the nerve to use my whole site work and pass it off as your own – fine – let others see what a scam you are!
I hate this type of behaviour!

February 16, 2006 at 8:51 am #6247WetlipsMemberHi Cindi
I have just tried the link and it comes up that the page cannot be found. I think you have scared her off.
Well done, people like that should be thrown off the internet. fu
February 16, 2006 at 7:49 pm #6249Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberOK .. turns out a girlfriend designed her site for her and said she (her girlfriend) had surfed out many sites looking for ideas (yeah right – um just MINE evidently).
Miami took the whole site down immediately after receiving my rather “strong” email this morning and replied with a very huge heartfelt apology.
I know that its another excuse of “pass the blame” like all the others but she sounded very sincere and seemed to feel genuinely bad about the whole thing.
So, under the circumstances, thank you to Miami for taking the correct and immediate action – it was very much appreciated.Â
In fact, I have to say it is the first time that another webmistress has been so apologetic and nice about being informed their site is a copyright breach and has stolen content (yes this happens all the time to me). Usually they come back at you snarling and yapping as though them being caught was my fault HAHA.
Case closed. B)
Cindy xFebruary 16, 2006 at 10:15 pm #6251andieMemberThe old “my site designer did it” trick huh? Really, how come every time this happens they say their site designer did it? As was said last time this happened, no professional design company is going to blatantly copy and steal from another site.
February 17, 2006 at 5:08 pm #6255joeMemberShe’s back now.
February 17, 2006 at 6:24 pm #6256leatherznzpiceMemberWell spotted Joe and I see that the FAQ page she has is a reduced version of the one Cindy has, heck she even takes her own pictures and has a fantastic camera with a tripod um almost word for word as Cindy has  Actually a LOT of her Miami’s wording is um still almost exactly the same
Maybe she’s about to update the whole site of course and we should wait and see if it changes more? Or maybe she thinks, sod it I can do what I want, Cindy bought the ‘friend’ story?
I tend to think the latter, but we’ll see ..
Taking word for word from other established sites is NOT the way to get a good reputation Miami!
February 22, 2006 at 11:19 pm #6288BubbaTechMemberI Don’t Know if I Completely Agree with you here, Words and statements, can they be copywrited??
you can have a graphic, taking that is wrong, or a trademark, or a personalized graphic, taking anything that you customize is wrong.
But as for general layout, fonts, general wording, can you copyright that??
cut the girl some slack, and let her find her own identity, this may take a while. But she will make the sight suit her, and her customers…
February 23, 2006 at 9:59 am #6292Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHey Bubba – no I wont cut any slack with any site that breaches copyright. That includes copied text and statements and pictures!
I am actually working with her (Miami) at the moment in helping her redesign her site and making her some lovely graphics to reflect her own style and not mine, so there is no need to assume that I am being a total bitch here.
Put it this way .. you write a best seller book, everyone knows you – then some asshat takes your book, copies it word for word, puts his name as the author and starts selling it too .. are you saying you are cool with that? No, I didnt think so.
It has taken me YEARS to get my site the way it is – it oozes my own personality, my own way of writing, speaking and design, and to see ALL MY work blatantly copied 100 percent on another site makes me so angry and is totally justified to take further action – any court will rule in the favour of the person who originally had the content!
Even Google gives penalties to sites who have copied text – they casche everything!
I never said “general wording or layout or fonts” is copyright, not sure why you thought that? … This kind of thing gets copied all the time and is part of the internet and is acceptable.Â
I was talking about far more serious forms of copyright as in stolen graphics and word for word copied paragraphs, however, as soon as she realised her site was a clone which her web designer had completely copied from my site, the girl took it down immediately.
Her site is already looking much better and is reflecting more of her own style and personality, which is what it should do.
There is even a software called Copyscape in which web designers can enter in their own content and it searches the web for others who may have copied it.
I agree it takes a while for a girl to find her own identity when web designing but I am not prepared to be used as an “identity stand-in” during that period for anyone!Â
I had to work hard at my site to get it where it is now and Im not prepared to see my site cloned overnight just because others cannot be bothered to design something themselves!

February 23, 2006 at 6:54 pm #6298leatherznzpiceMemberBubba,
I don’t think it was just words or statements taken randomly. It was wholesale lifting of forms and questions and answers, you name it!
The site designer simply took someone else’s work and plugged it in to create a ‘new’ site. I thought Cindy would end up helping Miami, that’s the kind of person she is.
I think the term we are really looking for is plagiarism, it’s theft and it’s stupid. Sure it’s the easy way to build a site fast, but it looks like crap when you take a well known site and copy from it and do it badly.
Take a look at other threads where the ladies who work there butts off building sites have spotted plagiarism from a new seller. In most cases when all comes out, it’s a case of new sellers being fobbed off with plagiarised sites by some lazy designer .. well it’s an easy few hundred bucks isn’t it?
Miami’s site is beginning to look more like her own creation now, still a way to go but looking better and reflecting a bit more of her own style and personality.
February 23, 2006 at 7:01 pm #6299darkhairedkarenMemberStealing is stealing. Copying something word-for-word is PLAGIARISM – you’ll get kicked out of school or sued for that sort of thing if you’re caught doing it on a large scale. It’s a serious offense.
I encourage a zero tolerance approach for this sort of thing. I was furious when another Ebanneder stole the exact description of a sub-package I had up for auction earlier. The contents, the wording, everything was identical. And it’s not like I was established and experienced when this happened; I was a newbie just starting out! I wish I had confronted her but my auction was already finished so I couldn’t readily show the proof that she had stolen my work. Thankfully, some others have noticed that she steals content… She’ll get what’s coming to her, because what goes around comes around!
Cindy, you’re truly the Golden Panty champion (with a heart to match) for helping Miami with her site after she stole your work. I hope she is grateful for your generosity and forgiveness!!!
February 23, 2006 at 7:50 pm #6300Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberThanks for backing me up folks … I cannot abide stealing or copying, its one of my pet hates and is the lowest form of abuse and disrespect I can actually think of!
However, Im not one to hold grudges either and she did the right thing in taking immediate action in completely taking down her site – hence that is why I am currently helping her out, and for free of course!
As she was not personally responsible for the dirty act, I couldnt leave her high and dry, and totally out of pocket after being ripped off 500 dollars by some bitch owning a design consulting company (who claims to design sites but in fact it seems that all she does is clone others and charges the earth for it!).. so its her that I’m angry at, not Miami.
Besides, Mi is doing great now and has learnt so much in the last week, Im actually proud of her :-). If only she would have asked for help before being ripped off in such an awful way, which could have become extremely nasty had I been someone else.
Love Cinds x

February 25, 2006 at 9:01 am #6350MiamiMemberHello everyone, I’m not even sure where or how to begin.
l wish l did not have to start my first hello and introduction on this forum this way:cry:Well l guess l will start by saying…I’m truly sorry to you Cindy! I have never felt so stupid and embarrassed in my life. I removed the site immediately after l received your e-mail, only because l knew it would be wrong for me to leave the copied site up.
I trusted a good friend of mine and paid her $500 bucks to design me a pantie site mad… that she did, and told me that she took graphics and text from a variety of differ sites from the net and l should change around the text to suit my own needs. I didn’t do it because l loved the site the way it was.
Until l learned that it wasn’t a variety of sites it was one site and it was Cindy’s site 😥
Well since then, l have lost a friend(not a real friend to begin with) and gained a new one 🙂 Cindy has helped me learn some of the basics in front page so l can do my own updates and add my own goodies. Cindy has also designed me some awesome graphics for free that reflects me…woohoo…
Cindy has been very nice and helpful and she even managed to get me my $500 bucks back  ..woohoo..I am slowly redesigning my site and learning along the way, thanks to Cin. I am very grateful to you Cindy for your kindness, generosity and for your forgiveness. I would like to think l would be the same way in this situation, but l know l wouldn’t be.
I hope that everyone can forgive me for this retarded situation and not think to badly of me.
Kisses
MiamiFebruary 25, 2006 at 9:10 am #6352leatherznzpiceMemberWelcome Miami,

February 25, 2006 at 9:11 am #6353Cindy_PantyParadiseMember..and WELCOME MI 🙂 .. I DO love that avatar pic of you by the way.
Us girls should stick together in a crisis – you get to know the rotten eggs in the industry and Mi is definitely not one of them.
Was I originally wrong in posting here? No, I dont think so because it was a serious offence – but as you can see me and “Mi” have become good friends through this, so it just goes to prove that honesty really does pay in the long run 🙂
May your site be a success Mi – and please just shout for help when you need it, you can trust almost all the people here for honest advice and help.
Hugs, Cindy xx  smt
