I’m very excited about my first day of cooking in my culinary classes. Yesterday I went out and bought all my tools and my uniform.

Today we are making roasted pear and arugula salad with parmesan.

My teacher is super nice and funny, you kinda have to be if you’re dealing with newbie chefs.

We also made apple sauce with different apples and roasted carrots.

And I cut my finger, but not bad. I just tapped my thumb and didn’t realize how friggin’ sharp the knives were. I had to put on a band aid and wear a glove the entire class.

I would love to take a picture of my silly ass uniform, but I’m still waiting on that damn battery charger. THIS is why I don’t like amazon.

hope you guys get to do ice carving. that was a blast when i was in culinary school. do you have to wear those gay little nekerchiefs as well?

No neckerchiefs, I do have to wear the most hideous pants ever imagined. I do love my chefs coat, though. It fits like a glove.
