Hi All,
Since it would appear that I managed to stir up some activity here, I thought it would be best if I start a new thread for this. There are several threads going on in this forum where people are making comments, disagreeing with what I say or are just outright attacking me and my intentions.
Rather than posting to all of those threads, I will summarize here.
My name is Freaky Steve. I produce media. I work with models. I run web sites.
The models I work with have previously sold panties (and other items) and would like to sell more as part of their interaction with fans. This is an additional component, not their focus, they do it for fun.
Several months back I picked up the domain PantyLane.com. A few weeks ago, I decided to actually put some stuff up on the site. In building the site I wanted to create a site that would be easy to maintain, but also a site that would offer quality content for visitors. Content that changes daily is the best kind.
I added sponsor content in the form of Picture Of The Day links, with the appropriate ads. I also added links to other sites that I run, since the sites I run have kink and fetish themes.
In my efforts to build this site I also started adding other links and information in order to round out what Panty Lane is offering to visitors. These links include the most popular panty selling sites, so that people who come to Panty Lane can see all of the options available.
After joining Panty Hog and adding my site to the directory, I was contacted by PK. He asked that I give Panty Hog listing priority over MPS and the others. MPS, he told me, was full of scammers and problems, but this site was more laid back and did not have those kinds of issues. Also, being free, it made more sense to promote Panty Hog first since Panty Lane also offers free services. No one from MPS has contacted me, whereas PK contacted me directly and I really appreciate that. It’s the personal touch that makes it easy to be accommodating, and PK is very friendly, so supporting the efforts here is easy. PK has also been kind enough to publish my articles and it is that kind of ongoing support that is really great.
I realize that spamming is not welcome, and that makes complete sense. I am glad. All I am trying to do is be a contributor to the site so I am not seen as a spammer. Yes, I am here to promote, but exposure to my sites and models is a byproduct of my participation here.
I am sure many of you know more about things than I know about. But I am sure there are things that I know about as well, that may be helpful or beneficial. If you are not interested in what I have to offer, that is okay, don’t take me up on it.
I realize there are a lot of experienced webmasters and sellers here who are more than capable of helping others. All I wanted to do was add to that pool of talent here. If people would rather speak with other sellers here, that is fine. But if there is anyone who would also like the benefits of my knowledge, I am willing to offer my part.
I did not, nor would I ever claim that my site has more traffic than this one. Panty Lane has been up for less than a month. It already gets traffic from a variety of sources. The site does not get huge traffic right now, but it is growing, and the quality is very good. The sources include the most common, but also come from other sites that I run. I am committed to increasing traffic to all of my sites.
I am offering more, as in “additional”, traffic to sites that people run. Traffic that comes from different sources, since no website gets traffic from the same places. Traffic to Panty Lane is filtered from other sites of mine, so any visitors to my sites who like panties, will end up there.
I also know that Panty Trust is separate from the sites run by PK. I have spoken briefly with the great people at Panty Trust and know how it works. I am not trying to imply any form of relationship with Panty Trust, I have simply exchanged a few e-mails, but they also run a great site.
I have no interest in creating a community site or a selling site. My site offers pictures for panty lovers, links to great panty sites plus links to sponsors and my sites. That’s it. It’s more like a fan site than anything else. Yes, it is for promo, but it is also for fun. If I add new features, they will be features not seen anywhere else, so the site stays unique.
If I have offended people with my offers, that was not my intention. I am trying to be a contributor to a great community site.
Everything that I do is transparent and I am more than happy to shed light on anything I am doing.
I don’t know if this will help anyone with their opinions of me, but this is also okay.
Questions, comments, feedback?
May 1, 2008 at 11:22 am #21440adminKeymasterThanks Steve. I wasn’t offended about the traffic business, just unsure of what you were saying. Thank you for clarifying.

It seems much clearer now.
