Sorry My first post here is to piss and moan.  mad

I’m a new seller and just went to list an auction at ebanned. I had to give my creditcard when I signed up earlier this week. I finally get my stuff together to post an auction and now it says I have to give my credit card again to sell. That’s bad enough but it gets worse! It says give us your creditcard details and they’ll let me know at a later time if I’m accepted. Accepted to what!? They want me to give my creditcard details twice to people I don’t know and then they MIGHT accept me?!

Accept this ebanned FUCK YOU!  fu I’m tired of the fucking games at that shithole. Are they trying to discurage new sellers over there? They seem to be going out of their way. I even tried to leave this post there and guess what? The forum there isn’t even working.

Welcome to Panty Hog WickedJade, I know Ebanned are upgrading their auction script and their site and that can be a slow and difficult process.  I’m sure others with more knowledge of Ebanned will step in and offer advice, hang in there Jade things will get back to normal I’m sure  🙂

My gosh eBanned, you’ve pissed people off in the masses! I think the new look is good though, it was way too cluttered before, it was a real dial up users nightmare!

Jade hun, with all the new auction sites popping up I’m sure you’ll find a spanking  new auction home soon. Hey, try Panty Hogs mall, looks promising you know.  😉 You can help to convert all the ex eBanned users, and there’s a lot by the looks of it!

Ebanned was very quick and user-friendly when I joined (about half a year ago).  The upgrade has certainly been taking a long time and has produced a lot of glitches (and annoyed people).  Sorry to hear about your aggravation, Jade.  I do see signs that admin are constantly fixing bugs, offering updates on progress, and answering questions, so maybe if you e-mail them they can sort out your account.

Wow Jade!!! You seem pretty upset over being asked for your credit card info and being approved to sell at the site! It seems that they have had this system of approval for quite some time and many sellers have gone through it without losing their composure.

At this point, I’m sure you don’t care but there is some logic to their approval system. First, people sign up just to be members of the site. Credit card info is taken in an attempt to verify that the prospective member is really 18 years old. Not the perfect age verification but maybe one of the only tools available.

Since many of the members are not sellers, there is a second process to become a seller. I believe the process is a bit more involved because the credit card would used to bill for seller’s fees. Maybe they’re just trying to make sure they don’t get taken for fees by new sellers?

Also, you are incorrect. The forums are working just fine. I am in them in another window as I type this. Maybe if you contact them and give them your credit card info, you can join the forums too:huh:? 😉

Whatever you decide to do, I wish you good luck and lots of panty sales.

I do think asking twice for credit card details is extreme. With all the fraud online nowadays you can see why people turn up their nose. I know that you know the owners of eBanned Krooze, and want to stick up for them, which is great, but this kind of feedback is as important, if not more, as good feedback. I wouldn’t verify my card twice, thus giving me, and others, a reason to not use them. They need to know that, it’s important.

Asking for a credit card for age ver is pointless. Every household has a credit card somewhere in the house that they can nab should they want it. They may as well just use an “I am over 18” tick box, it works for most every other major auction everywhere else. I’ve never encountered credit card verification and personally wouldn’t hand over my details, and I certainly wouldn’t hand them over if it says I might be accepted.

In regards to the forum, I bobbed past it yesterday and it didn’t come up for me either (not that I use it) All I have to do is flip a switch and my site’s Off, On, Off, On…..anything could have happened between you trying the forum and Jade trying it. Although I can see you’re rightly defensive of eBanned not everything everyone says is automatically inacurate.

I do think change equals problems though, and some don’t work well with it. You all certainly need to give them some time to find their feet again, it really isn’t as simple as you expect to do huge changes and eBanned is obviously massive! The new look you’ll adjust too without even realising (and is better I think)  and without the eBanned’s of this world you’d all be very panty-less, don’t forget that. I’m sure they’ve helped many of out, gave you a business in fact, a few weeks adjustment isn’t really much to ask in return.

The bad feed back really needs to be left to flow. If it’s what that person is feeling about the company then it can never be ‘wrong.’ Not everyone will agree but it’s useful feedback and is compulsory to any good business, and if ebanned are just that, then they’ll turn the -‘s in to +’s

Well Jess, I don’t think I was sticking up for anybody with my comments. I just made mention that Jade seemed pretty upset by things and I tried to explain the process a bit. I never said it was a good process. LOL

Also, I never said she shouldn’t have made her opinions known. As far as I’m concerned, she can voice her opinion all she wants. I do think tact would go a long way to getting those opinions heard by the folks who need to hear them, though. Calling the place a shithole and saying fuck you twice isn’t going to get anyone anywhere to listen to a person’s concerns.

Jess, you obviously read more into my comments than I wrote or meant. That’s ok though, it gave you the opportunity to teach me about constructive feedback.

Don’t mean to step on any toes here but I don’t imagine the corporation that owns that place much cares what people say in forums or chats. I could be wrong but I’m sure eBay has it’s finger in that place. They’ll deny it for sure, but it would be pretty naive to think they don’t. Ever complained to eBay? That’s right you get my point. The only thing corporations care about is the bottom line. If their income drops, they’ll take a listen to the users, if it doesnt effect their bank account, why should they care what you think?

    #5892

Ebay are to do with eBanned? That’s pretty ironic really, considering they tried so hard to boot us all off eBay  :cheer: Someone tell me it’s really true, it’d make my day!! I know what you mean Clark. It certainly seems true for most, the bigger the site the smaller the customer service. Everyone wants to be bigger but few want to pay the staff.

Krooze, my post really wasn’t a ratty one or one intended to pee you off, just an observation.

My point is based on everything I’ve read, not just this post. It seems whenever a “complaint” is made about eBanned they’re made to feel they’re somewhat wrong. Like Jade’s comment about the forum being down. Websites change from second to second so why would she be incorrect about it not working, because it worked when someone else viewed it hours later? Maybe it didn’t work, it happens to every site, even poor ebanned. They use technology like the rest of us, flawed machines that use their own law and are connected to a lot of other machines that could potentialy go wrong. In fact, connected to a socket in the wall that could also go wrong! Even the Yahoo’s! and *ahem* eBay’s of the world have the same problems. For whatever reason it didn’t work for her, just because it worked for someone else doesn’t make her wrong.

The language used maybe says something about the severity of what these people are feeling. It’s beyond a “Wow, ebanned’s a bit naff today” It’s a queue of many things stacking up. It happens, it’s not ideal but it happens. Every post about ebanned has strong language (I know nothing about eBanned, and trust me, I’ve NOTHING against them. Please don’t think that.) but maybe that’s saying something. I’ve sent a nice email to Nochex and not yet got a response. If I don’t have a response by the cut off point I’ll be swearing about Nochex! And not a person can tell me I’m wrong or disfuncional for doing it. That’s what happens when many things go wrong. You can be polite until you’re blue in the face sometimes.

Clark, at the risk of reprimand, let me just tell you that Ebanned was started by a panty seller because of Ebay’s crack down on panty sales. She continues to run the site with the help of her husband. No corporation and no Ebay. Also, the reason for the current site upgrade that people are complaining about is to add features and functionality that sellers and buyers have been asking for. This is fact.

Well Jess, I’m not sure what I said that makes you feel I am ‘peed off’ but I am not. The only reason I replied to your post and I am replying to this one is that you seem to be taking issue with my comments and trying to teach me what I already know. It’s almost like you’ve decided that you need to talk down to me.

As far as the forums being down, you can make a big deal out of my comments but they were not down. It didn’t matter what time either of us tried to get into them. The truth of the matter is that the forums also need to be signed up for seperately from general and seller registrations. So I bet it’s just that she’s not signed up for them and NOT that they weren’t working. But thanks for the lesson on computers and such.

I would think whatever ‘rights’ people assume to to make statements against Ebanned also give others the right to defend Ebanned. If not then there’s something way out of kilter.

You can read anything you want into the strong comments against Ebanned, I am not trying to convince you to see things my way. Once again I would like to point out one bit of interesting info, though. I find it interesting that a handful of people are considered justified in their anger when there are THOUSANDS (yes there are thousands of Ebanned buyers and sellers) of people who don’t feel that way.

In this thread, I have not defended Ebanned or taken exception to anyone’s comments about Ebanned. I have only given facts and info to help clear up misconceptions. I’m not sure why you feel the need to admonish me here for comments I may have made in other threads. I’m sure whatever comments I make, you’re going to politely tell me how wrong they are are how I am wrong in making them.

Well despite good intentions I guess I did step on toes. I’m a very peaceful dude so I’ll stay out of this thread from now on. But, in my defense I did want to point out that at the bottom of every page on that site it says: ebanned,Inc and Inc. is short for incorporated which means it is a corporation. That’s it, no more hassle from me on this topic. -Peace-

Sorry if my comments made you think you stepped on my toes, Clark. All I did was try to clear up a few of those misconceptions you seem to have regarding Ebanned. You have to admit, you made some pretty big leaps in logic because Ebanned is incorporated. LOL

I’m not sure where you’re from Clark, but here in the US just about everybody incorporates when they start a business. It doesn’t matter what size the company starts out as or ends up as. Incorporation is used because it provides protection for the owner of the company if it fails. The government can’t take the personal possessions to pay the defaulted company’s debts if the company is incorporated.

But please trust me, the owners of Ebanned do not like Ebay and would never enter any business agreement with them. And please understand that Ebanned is just Marie and Bart.

The reason I know so much about this is I’ve met them. Four years now, they have opened their modest home to any Ebanned members that care to make the trip for get togethers. I went to the first one, as they only live 2.5 hours drive from me, to see just who I was dealing with. I have been back for each one since. I can’t pass up food and good company. LOL

So Clark, please don’t take offense to my comments or think I’m attacking you! I just wanted you to understand a bit more about them and maybe you won’t feel the need to assume the worst about them. You have the right to your opinion and I would never try to deny you that. I just wanted you to have all the info.

Ebanned. I have only given facts and info to help clear up misconceptions.

Well Kroozey, if you know that the forums were not down then I’m very sorry, and sure Jade is too, poor girls eyes are obviously decieving her. You’re obviously gifted with a blow by blow account of what happens at eBanned second by second that the rest of us just aren’t.  🙁

So I bet it’s just that she’s not signed up for them and NOT that they weren’t working.

It’s amazing to me that people form such negative opinions about others while making assumptions.

    Isn’t it just?

Clark, take my hand hun, we’ll take our mere mortal asses outta here!
