I thought the name would attract attention. Yes? No? lol.
I have five real quick steps. If this is too much reading for you, then get the idea of selling out of your head.:)First, before anything else, get educated. Read anything and everything you can about selling used items. Go to girls sites and blogs and read that too. Make sure to read the used panty university articles too. Never get into selling anything without learning about it first.
:)My second piece of advice would be GET VERIFIED! Go to http://www.pantytrust.com and follow the steps toward verification. Trust all of us, it’s worth it. At first the $35-$40 may seem steep, but it is no scam, the guy running it has been supporting the used panty community for years, so have no fear.
:)Third, DO NOT USE PAYPAL! Their TOS changes all the time and many girls have paid the cost for assuming they where under the radar. PAYPAL WILL FIND YOU AND FREEZE YOUR ACCOUNT. They go undercover sometimes or send bots to scan your page. When they freeze your account you will not be able to set up a new one because they have all of your information. Also, they may shut down your customer’s accounts. You are now officially warned.
:)Fourth, set up a blog or website so that people can get to know you. I reccomend both, actually. If you are not in the financial standing to pay for your own site there are plenty free ones, just make sure their TOS allows adult material. Trust me, I was shut down a few times and it sucks. As soon as you can, I suggest getting your own paid webspace. Mine was only $25 per year and it’s adult. Just look around and you will find something.
:)Fifth, be courteous but don’t just sell anything for a quick buck. It makes you look cheap and desperate. Sell what you are comfortable with selling. And only do what you are comfortable with doing. Having limits shows that you aren’t a cookie-cutter money making scheme.
:ohmy:One last tid bit. If you think you are going to get rich selling used items think again. I have been selling for about a year and I still rely on my financial aid to pay the bills. This is a tight nit community and we catch on to fakers and scammers pretty quick. All you have to do to enjoy this little slice of kinky heaven that’s called used panties, just be honest, genuine and respectful and you’ll go a long way.
That’s all from Miss Anni. Feel free to add your own tips for newbies.Â
January 24, 2008 at 8:01 pm #19409AnnaMemberAlways be courteous to other sellers. Unlike most businesses other sellers are happy to help you. Do not put other sellers down in an attempt to market yourself as a ‘better’ seller. It just makes you look cheap and desperate. It will also mean that you won’t get any help.
Do not assume that you will get help. It is not your right to demand help. Say ‘please’, say ‘thank you’ and you will be overwhelmed with help from a very friendly community. Put into the community what you get out. I’m sick and tired of sellers who benefit from the experiences of established sellers, but never contribute anything back to the community.
Do not rest on your laurels. You may have worked hard to market yourself, you may have worked hard in building up a profile as a good seller but that does not mean that you can abuse your buyers later. Don’t keep your buyers waiting for their orders without good communication. If you have a problem email them, explain, and offer them a refund. They will often be prepared to wait. Do NOT avoid their emails. You owe them.
January 25, 2008 at 5:58 am #19416Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberDont steal other girl’s names or site content.. For instance, an established seller like myself does not appreciate someone else using “PANTY PARADISE” for example. I can’t stop someone using “Panty” and nor can I stop someone using “Paradise” .. but I do have legal rights to the whole phrase in this industry.
By using another girl’s phrase only makes you look incredibly stupid, it is also morally wrong to attempt to ride the backs of other sellers who are popular and have been selling for years. (Trust me the buyers won’t buy from you, they will just tell everyone what a lazy idiot you are and will avoid you like the plague.)
Oh before I open up a can of worms here, I would like to make this clear – you can’t claim words like “cupboard” “naughty” “secrets” “xxx” as your OWN because it is NOT a phrase, it is a word! “Panty Paradise” is a phrase. I cant stop someone using “Panty” and I cant stop someone using “Paradise”, but I CAN and LEGALLY stop someone using “Panty Paradise”. I hope that has cleared up any misunderstandings.

January 26, 2008 at 11:08 am #19450AnnaMemberJust so it is all on the same thread.
Never ever ever ever ever give out your home address. You really can’t trust anybody I’m afraid. Even the nicest person can turn into a raving psycho if you upset them and you don’t want your neighbours getting letters telling them what you do with your dirty knicks do you? (Mike is obviously excluded from this warning – he is just a cuddly teddy bear who has offered to open a PO Box that we can use for a fee)
PO Boxes (UK). The Royal Mail (bless their hearts) will tell anyone who has your PO Box address your home address. They are not secure. Ask a friend, a male preferably, who will accept your cheques or postal orders for you and pass them on. Then if psycho turns up on his doorstep he’ll get a nasty surprise won’t he? lmao
Online banking. Look it up, promote how easy it is. The seller never sees any of the buyer’s bank details. The buyer only needs your account number and sort code and he can’t do anything with this info apart from pay money in. This info is printed all over your cheques anyway.
Proving you are real. By supplying your address? Your phone number? Not on your nelly. Get verified by Panty Trust. The suspicious buyer can pop along to http://www.pantytrust.com and see you holding up a sign to prove who you are. One of the main reasons for joining Panty Trust is so you don’t have to deal with all the palavar of proving you are genuine.
Abuse. You do not have to accept it. If anyone sends you an email with any sort of abuse in it you must report them immediately to their service provider and their email provider. It is not acceptable and should not be tolerated. Experienced sellers have a zero tolerance policy and it works
Privacy. If your domain name is a co.uk you do not have to declare anything other than your name. You do not have to declare your address. So don’t!
Note. The law in the UK is that anyone who sells online has to abide by the Distance Selling Regulations. If you have a site I would recommend you read this just so you are aware. If you sell by auction only you don’t need to be concerned about this as auctions are exempt.
Some buyers (not on Panty Hog thank goodness) are insisting on their rights regarding this legislation and are bullying girls to disclose their home address. If a buyer does this, then sever all contact. Do not sell to them. Decent buyers realise that we are concerned for our safety and privacy and wouldn’t dream of bullying us. Being Panty Trust verified should be sufficient guarantee for them to show then we are genuine and have taken every opportunity to allay their concerns. If not, then they are clearly not very understanding about our concerns and not desirable as a buyer.
If it’s a choice between getting an email from Trading Standards or a visit from a strange man on my doorstep wanting my knickers I think I’d prefer Trading Standards anyday.

February 3, 2008 at 7:05 am #19605Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberAnother new one who CANT BE BOTHERED TO READ.
PAYPAL DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS FOR ADULT SITES WHICH INCLUDE PANTY SITES. IF YOU USE PAYPAL THEY WILL FREEZE THE SELLERS ACCOUNT AND POSSIBLY THE BUYERS AND YOU CAN NOT ONLY NEVER USE YOUR ACCOUNT AGAIN YOU CAN NEVER USE THE SAME DETAILS TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT
This is the LAST time I am ever going to say this on here – if you are too ignorant to find out basic rules then it is your own fault if you get caught.

This may be an eye sore, but could we put this on the front page? Make it a permanent poster/banner/something LOL Seriously, I think it deserves a sticky somewhere where all can see ♥Got my attention XD
Maybe a banner somewhere to get everyone’s attention might work. Idk 🙂 I def don’t want the experienced girls to get an aneurysm from saying this over and over again. I can feel their stress from having to repeat it on a daily basis…[yes that often, girls].
*shrugs* I feel badly that the seasoned gals (and guys ♥) have such a burden to bear with this issue, among many others 🙁
Maybe we can have a contest; best poem/song/whatever for not using PP (Jazzy has the right idea ♥)Â

February 6, 2008 at 7:00 pm #19645AnonymousGuestAlways happy to get good advice. How do most of you accept payments? If you only take cheques how long do you wait to receive? I assume you never ship before payment clears>
February 6, 2008 at 7:13 pm #19646Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberI don’t personally take cheques but if I did I would make sure that payment was received at least a week before I was due to start the order. Always make sure the money clears before starting any order.
If you are in the UK, then most guys these days are more than happy to do an online bank transfer. It takes 3 days to clear, is free and easy and all you need to give out is your sort code and account number – they don’t even need your name! All my guys pay this way and its great.
For overseas buyers I ask that they purchase me an amazon gift certificate for the amount of the order.
