Harry Potter!!!

I finished my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows earlier today and would love to know what everyone else thought about it.
I thought it was fantastic  smt
Had tears of sadness  😥 and smiles of knowing and happiness.  :rolleyes:
I do feel that the last chapter was a little unnecessary though, but does give way to a further tale in the future maybe?

I finished mine yesterday morning!
I’m a complete Potterphile and I think it was the ideal book, perfectly written, she didnt dumb it down or pull punches and i actually liked the end chapter

Though there were other things unanswered i’d love to know.

Can you believe it! Asda still hasn’t got stocked up since they ran out on Sunday. Tesco are out of stock too. I’m going to have to make a special trip to town to get my book  mad

I thought it was great! And I read it without anyone spoiling it for me, which is great! I hated the epilogue though – too much like a kiddys book in my opinion and if I ever read it again I’m going to staple those pages to the cover so I can’t read them…  😛

I totally agree with Alana about the epilogue, its nice to know he lived but is it really believable that they all had kids in the same years?

Yep, think we can discuss it now. Nobody else has said they haven’t read it yet.

IT IS A KID’S BOOK!!! Of course it is going to have a nicely wrapped up and happy ending…and I’m glad cos I cried when Dobby died.  🙁

Yeah I totally understand why the epilogue is like that its just I kind of forgot that it was for kids with all the deaths and stuff – and then its a bit of a shock to go back to them being all safe and happy at the end.

I really couldn’t see Harry and Ginny together either, it was quite predictable but I can’t really see that working on screen anyway. They seem a bit of an odd couple.

Also, anyone know why Harry couldn’t feel the crucio curse just after he had come back to life? He came back and was pretending to be dead and Voldemort was waving him around with the curse but he couldn’t feel it. Is it because Voldemort’s wand was the elder wand and  therefore really Harry’s?

And poor Snape!! I actually love him now! I feel really sorry for him, everyone was always so horrible to him!

As I understood it the Crucio curse just lifted him up and rolled him around? Perhaps it was because it was really Harry’s wand like you say? I wondered that too.

I thought Ginny and Harry made a good couple. Ginny is very brave and resourceful, just like Harry.
