-anni-March 2, 2007 at 3:23 am #13504anniMemberi found out how to make it public, but my other questions still stand.
March 2, 2007 at 3:34 am #13506hotxxxblondeMemberThey send you a gift certificate using your email address.
March 2, 2007 at 3:45 am #13508anniMemberalright, so its automatic.
thank you 🙂
i didn’t know if i had to fill out something extra or something.
March 2, 2007 at 5:09 am #13515hotxxxblondeMemberNot to my knowledge. I have received several Amazon gift certificates and they just came straight to my inbox. I don’t even think you have to have an account or wishlist their. I think they just get sent to the email address the sender specifies. HTH!
March 2, 2007 at 8:19 am #13522AnnaMemberMackenzie is right. All you need is an email address, the buyer sends the certificate via it, that’s all he needs.
March 2, 2007 at 10:28 am #13523FetishKittenMemberIf you want gift certificates then yup, email is all they need. Though i have on occasion had huge problems with .co.uk
If you are using .com theres often less problems. For some reason the vouchers get alot of critisism, and even though I’ve had problems I STILL use them.Wishlists you can enter whatever address you like for things to be posted to, start up an account and write two addresses, one that shows on your wishlist (primary address) with the name you want it posted to (this IS public so choose your selling name) and a secondary address listing for when you are ordering things yourself.
The only thing that comes up about your postal address on your wishlist is your name, and the general area that its being posted to like your county, never your full address.March 2, 2007 at 8:02 pm #13534Jessia_Jones_666MemberHiya Anni and welcome 🙂
Yep I have never had a problem with Amazon.co.uk and payment is instant.

fettish, since my full address isn’t shown, could i go ahead and put my real address bc my po box is the smallest i could get and it only allows letters.
or should i just not accept gifts?

Yes, your buyer sees a minimum address, not enough to track you down and camp out on your doorstep or anything so it’s safe.
Kez? You’ve had problems with co.uk?? I won’t buy from .com because we have to pay tax on items that come through our customs AND the Royal Mail handling charge!!
March 3, 2007 at 10:21 am #13551FetishKittenMemberI’ve only had problems with the vouchers, never the gifts or the things I purchase myself.
I lost one customer for a while because Amazon.co.uk kept taking his money and not sending the vouchers properly. In the end it frustrated him so much he stopped. I pissed me off royally as we were both being jerked around.
I told him to contact them and get them to make sure they didnt charge him for anything he didnt buy, and make SURE they dont jerk him about. In the end it got sorted and now he is back with me and wont use Amazon.co.uk (and I understand why)I still use it with one or two buyers who have had no trouble, but he isnt the only one to have Amazon.co.uk mess up vouchers. I’ve had them mess up when buying for other people too. MOST of the time its okay, but it cocks up a fair amount too. If you look at the reviews on Amazon.co.uk about their vouchers its about 50 /50 alot of people are saying its a nightmare.
March 3, 2007 at 10:44 am #13554AnnaMemberI never knew amazon could have such a problem with their vouchers! I’ve used them since I started and, admittedly I haven’t had loads, but I’ve had a fair few with no problems. How peculiar. Anyone other seller/buyer having problems?
March 30, 2007 at 7:00 am #14693AnonymousGuestdo u need to print the certificates out once they go to ur email or do u just enter a code into the site, also do u need a credit card to set up or buy from amazon?
also what other certificate companies r there?March 30, 2007 at 1:20 pm #14700Jessia_Jones_666MemberI have never had any problems and am very happy with their service. It is quick and may I say very easy to use for both buyer and seler.
Jarael you don’t need to print anything honey and yes it is just a code. For the online gift certificates that is.
