    hello!  🙂

i was wondering if maybe anna or cindy could clue me in on how to trak an IP address through my order form?

i’ve been getting orders that never follow through. They say they want something, give me their address, then i tell them the payment and give them my po box, but they haven’t sent the money. I’ve laid out my process on my ordering page, but it seems like they think i’m going to send the product before they pay.

that’s just silly  :idiot2:, no company would do that, so i’m deffinatley not going to.

So, i was thinking i could track the IP and decide whether i want to even reply to those specific people.

it’s a waste of my time to reply. and it makes me sad when i get an order that i’ll never get to fill.  😥

    any help would be great!

    love,
    anni

You can use a program like statcounter to see IPs of specific individuals who visit the page.  The problem is how does seeing an IP help you determine whether to respond?  Also there’s nothing you can really do with the IP address if they don’t follow through.  There’s no law against not following through, you know?

i’m not mad about the follow thru, that just makes me kind of sad.

i guess i should reply to them all. i don’t know if something might have happened in their life or anything. so i shouldn’t be sore.

thanks for replying, i really apreciate it

There’s always going to be those guys that don’t follow through and it sucks.  I usually send them a follow-up email and let them know they X amount of time to send payment or their order will be assumed cancelled.

You cant do much with an IP address apart from find out the ISP (internet service provider).  Then you can forward them your form and any abuse or threats you received.  You cannot complain about a potential buyer not following through with an order.

You also cannot find anything else out from an IP address like email addresses or home addresses and 90 percent of the time the numbers change each time that person logs on anyway.

People fill out order forms and never follow through, you have to accept it – I get about 1 in 10 that do that, used to be more but its always the new buyers that seem to do this.

No idea why, I guess they just chicken out.

I sit at my PC replying to mail for hours a day, probably most of it is a waste of time but it comes with running a business, and for the record if I don’t hear back from these non payers within 3 days before I plan to wear their order, its cancelled – but do I let them know about it? nope, they wasted my time before so why should I waste even more. My time is precious and only spent on those deserving of it.

I’ve seen this before about orders that aren’t paid for.

As said previously there is nothing you can do. In fact if a seller did take action on those who place an order and change their mind they may be breaking the law themself by miusing personal information! There is such a thing as a ‘cool-off period’ when agreeing to a purchase. Buyers are within their legalrights to change their mind.

As Cindy said, you have to just accept this as part of selling online. If you can’t then you’re in the wrong game. Also, who has the time to chase to non-payers when you have loads of other guys who want those panties?

If you make it known you track IPs then you’re likely to do your business more damage. Potential buyers will be most put off.

The only time I use an IP address is when I’m sent abuse.

Yeah, you really have no reason to track an IP unless you’re receiving threats or harassment.

I didn’t know this could happen. I thought sellers prepared only AFTER they had the cash, but what do I know? Sometimes I WARN sellers NOT to prepare my order before they get the cash, as I don’t want my name mixed up in a brawl about a woman’s panties esp. WORN PANTIES. Jesus. That’s why I find out if a girl is verified, as I have no intention of being quiet if I lose my money unfairly, either. The only way this aroma business is going to take off it seems, is for the chemists to get into the actHahahah. They could analyse and replicate, EXACTLY, a woman’s odour at all times of month(from every part of the body) and mass produce odour swipes to sell. No threats, no insults no squabbles about money. What about the human touch, the personal contact? Don’t let guys fool anyone. They go back to what they have always done since the GREAT invention of Gussets ,… become CAT(or should i say PUSSY?) Thieves, but instead of Jewels. steal stink. This is my panty philosophy for today. As you can see I did not like the food i had for lunch, hahahah.
