I’m sure we’ve all heard the saying/warning at least once, “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is”.
Be an optimist I dislike that saying, although I begrudgingly admit that nine times out of ten the saying is sound. So panty fans, ever had any panty experiences which help to dispel the saying?
Ever seen a deal/seller which appeared imposssible to be on the level but which actually was genuine?
Or perhaps you met a buyer who appeared too good to be true, but who wasn’t?I have bought about 4 pairs of panties, all worn for 48 hours, from a girl on MUPS for £6 each. The service has been excellent and the knickers exquisite. Before my first purchase I had never ordered from her before. Glad I took a chance.
Be interested to hear your special experiences 🙂

June 22, 2011 at 11:50 pm #27010SerenaMember£6 for 48hrs wear? That’s is ridiculously cheap!
I guess she doesn’t think much of her panties :unsure:Still, glad you’ve enjoy them! 😛
June 23, 2011 at 8:49 am #27014Nookie_LookieMemberWell, I’ve just started a special for a few weeks. Basically have bought in a load of new panties, so making way for my new ones. Once I started adding to cart, I had to even up the numbers..lol. My partner had a bit of a moan!! (why do I need more, when I have loads already? ) I see no harm in doing a special once in a while. I was going for the 24hr wear, for £8…no pics, or added extras. I gave this much thought before putting up the auctions.
Is not something I would want to do all the time, as I do take pride in my knickers. Just need to curb the knicker shopping…Lol!
June 23, 2011 at 7:53 pm #27015PenelopeMemberI think its lovely to have a seller speak out in this way about the matter.
I think if a seller who had a great reputation wanted to reduce her prices it wouldnt diminish her reputation, but you would ask yourself why? right?
When clothes go on sale in stores its for promotions, new lines are coming in so out with the old in with the new kinda thing. I’d like to believe that is true.
I was talking about doing a buy one get one free. I have over 70 pairs of panties and i would LOVE to buy new ones and take new pictures now but i refuse to make my draw bust open even more from too many panties. As much as i agree with serena. £6 for a pair of panties seems.. like they wouldnt be valued but I cant help but think if everyone put their prices lower, then what would happen? It would stop being about price and be about quality – I take time with my auctions, make them detailed, I have beautiful wrapping paper and add treats, and this is all an extra I provide to make the experience better like others sellers do.
If a buyer stops buying form you its not always personal haha sometimes there are too many good things around and they are not all rich! But doing an offer once in a while to help sales, to help your regulars enjoy an extra special treat, and to also encourange someone knew to take a chance on you, I think equally thats a nice thing and i wouldnt want someone to NOT do that because they fear of being judged.
But damn can the beautiful girl who keeps putting them up for a $1 wait till my auctions sell please. 50p for a pair of panties? its crazy!
xxxx
June 23, 2011 at 9:04 pm #27017SerenaMemberYou’re making sound as we are some kind of corporate manufacture that produces masses of intimate items B)
Sure you can have a special promotion, you can promote your panties at £15 instead of £25.
If making money isn’t why you are here, then don’t charge, give your panties away, fulfil your fetish and forget about the business side of things. I used the word business because selling used panties is a fetish first, but also a business.5 years ago we were selling panties at £40 a pair, 7 years ago girls were selling at £60, 10 year ago girls were selling panties at £100.
Today girls sell their panties for £6, unless girls stop taking the piss (I’m confident its too late) in 3 years you will have to sell panties for £1 per pair, in 5 years no one with commune sense will bother selling anymore. There you have it! short lesson in economics, now I’m off to save Greece :woohoo:
Ciao xx
June 23, 2011 at 9:14 pm #27018PenelopeMemberhaha soon the sheep will be wanting their wool back cos’ were selling it for a dollar!
Ciao! xx

This is a really good point, and it’s true.
There’s nothing wrong with doing promotions and what not. But, there’s also nothing wrong with selling for £1 for a pair of knickers.
Crack on!
It doesn’t necessarily reflect on the quality of knickers or service – (it may attract a certain type of buyer) it’s just the way different people roll.
It won’t change the way I sell though, I’ll only do this is a way that I think does myself justice and because there is a certain type of buyer that I want to avoid.
If a buyer stops buying from me because they are after a better deal, then it’s sad but it’s also their perogative.
In my honest opinion, each person/seller is different in infinate amounts of ways.
Price is no way to indicate exactly what your getting, all is says is what they buyer thinks of themselves or their buyers.
And, this still doesn’t neccessarily mean that they are going to think badly of themselves. It’s funny how this comes up after Minxys blog post on MUPS, actually.
I’ll be interested to say what buyers have to say about sellers that have surpassed their expectations.
Great idea for a topic, and I think that it will be a great chance for some girls to get credit where it is due!

June 23, 2011 at 11:12 pm #27020Nookie_LookieMemberImagine if you could buy used panties from a superstore chain! It would take the fetish right out of it… definitely! Doing a discount in price will be a once in a blue moon thing for me. Why are men such tight asses when it comes to clothes shopping?…LOl! Thinking in business terms, when outgoings are exceeding incoming s, that ain’t good. Got some lovely knickers though… Is getting the fetish/business balance just right.
I wonder if girls are aware that they can place a reserve price on their items? Maybe too many pairs going cheap, as there is no reserve.
Sure, I’ve still got a lot to learn….with experience comes wisdom! xx

Does that mean if i priced a pair cheaply you would think i think small of myself or my buyers?
there is a fine line where that thought applies. For me if i saw someone who had been around for a while doing it, id think positive. If it was a new person that just started id think negitive.Sometimes its hard to win
We are all so open and we all have opions, id go away and now not do a sale because people would think I was selling items not as good as what i used to sell.
its the same with pictures. If i do a picture set its a 1 time bit of work / enjoyment. I get to play with myself and take lots of pictures, get dolled up and then i come back here and go throuhg them, edit the size and crop ( making sure no dogs are in them 😛 ) then id upload them and then job done. so if im making a set and selling them over and over.. its almost like 1 person would pay for it, after that its just profit. Id rather lower it slightly and still make the same money but share it with more people!
Granted i enjoy recieving something back for wearing my panties as serena mentioned this is also a business. But i try not to judge sellers that i know, if their prices are lower then mine.
lol I hate writing on forums. My opinion is always different. And i know thats why its MY opinion, i just never seem to share anyone elses so feel like i get judged when i stick my opinion out there.
June 24, 2011 at 12:08 am #27022SerenaMemberNo one is judging you for having an option P! what would be madness!!
We can civilly agree to disagree or we can keep discussing forever, its fine having different take on things – If we didn’t life would be dull.IMO sellers need to look at the bigger picture and step outside the ME box, but that’s just I how feel – I’m sure most wont agree but I’m sticking to it 😛
June 24, 2011 at 12:15 am #27023PenelopeMemberThanks S! 😉
That made me feel better. I think because I’m also a member of Panty Trust I sometimes wonder if there are certain things we need to agree on ya know? Prices will be a forever conversing matter it would seem, what can you do eh
regardless I felt like my opinion mattered in this thread 🙂
Now back to gawking at men in underwear.

No, didn’t mean that at all and I hope you didn’t think I was judging you 😛
Sometimes meaning can get misconstrued in text form.
What I meant was that all price reveals is what someone thinks of themselves or their buyers, e.g. That they are not interested in money, or that they don’t feel like they need a profit.
Like I said – everyone if different.
Same goes for opinion.
