We’ve had some questions regarding nominations for best auction listings. This, all Awards categories, and the entire Panty Hog site for that matter, are open to people selling anywhere. That is, the auction seller categories are open to sellers on any auction site, and are not limited to our auction area in any way. In fact, when the Awards sponsor/prizes page comes up this week, you’ll see that the nice folks at ebare auctions have donated two great prizes to this year’s Awards.
Remember, Panty Hog started because we felt the used panty fetish community desperately needed a place to share information on all resources for people into used panties. Our philosophy here at Panty Hog is that pretending other resources don’t exist and playing the asinine “no linking game” is ridiculous, extremely outdated, and stifles the growth of the used panty fetish community. Absolutely nominate people using any auction site, and always understand that Panty Hog is open to anyone, anywhere with an interest in used panties and that we encourage you to post your links here.

December 10, 2006 at 11:56 pm #11145adminKeymaster1) Your photo and Bio should be in by the time voting starts. I will begin putting up nomination pages this week, and will add them as the information comes in from the nominees.
2)You can nominate whenever you like. The once per 24 hours rule applies to voting, not nominations. Keep in mind that there is no need for someone to nominate a seller for a category more than once. Once a seller is nominated for a category, they will be on the voting ticket for that category. Additional nominations for the category are nice, but they don’t give the nominated seller any better chance of winning in the category.
3) As of now, voting will start Friday, December 22nd and run for seven days. More details regarding the Awards timelines and specific dates and times for things like the live Awards ceremony will be posted this week. I apologize that this information hasn’t appeared sooner. We are still trying to schedule things so that the most people possible can participate. Christmas, New Years, time zone differences, and travel commitments make this task much more difficult than it should be!
4)People will be able to vote once per 24 hours per username, IP address, computer, etc. We will be watching for suspicious voting patterns. Someone with way too much time on their hands could technically register several times and then run all over town trying to vote from multiple internet connections. This would be allot of work since the amount of votes over the seven days is large, this tends to even out spikes. In other words, you’d have to keep this nonsense up day after day in order to make any real difference, and if you did that, it would give a better chance of showing up as a suspicious pattern. Since you have to be 18 to be here, we know we are all adults. The Awards are a fun and positive event for our community, hopefully no one is out there right now working hard to figure out a way to get around the voting security. Even if they managed to, when they got caught they’d embarrass themself, the nominee, and likely actually hurt the chances of the seller that they wanted to win.
5)I thought you were a new seller, but since you mention that you started over a year ago, I’m not sure. We never really defined how long a seller could be selling and still be considered “new”. I throw it out for members’ thoughts on this. Panty Hog is a democracy, anyone?

December 10, 2006 at 11:59 pm #11146AnnaMemberHi Rachy
If you’ve been selling since July 2005 then you’re not a new seller, just a seller who had a break. That’s how I understand it anyway. A new seller is someone who isn’t able to be nominated for Panty Seller of the Year. PS of the Year is over 12 months so surely a New Seller is under 12months?
Don’t lots of sellers have breaks? Jess did but she’ll be up for Panty Seller of the Year I expect.
Or have I misunderstood it?

Thanks PK and Anna 🙂And I didn’t really see it as a break as I sold a few ‘one off’ pairs back in 2005, then had no actual website offering panties (nor did I offer a ‘worn panty service’), and did not actually start properly selling until August 2006. Therefore I haven’t been selling for over 12 months, it’s just that my first few sales were back in 2005.
Does any of this make any difference? I’ve mentioned all this in a few places on my site and blog, but despite this I know I have at least one nomination for ‘new seller’ from a regular, so will this have to be cancelled?
Take care and thanks so much for your help you two 🙂

xxOh right, sorry, I was going by your words hun, umm, dunno then. Difficult one this because having a site or not having a site isn’t a criteria as plenty of sellers don’t have one.
Difficult one.
December 11, 2006 at 12:49 am #11148adminKeymasterWhen you vote, it will be like a survey. You will see for example “Seller of the Year” with the nominees listed. You click the box next to your choice and when you click submit, you go to the next page for say “Best Breasts”, and so on. So yes, you can vote in each category once per day.
We had voting last year over Christmas too, but kept voting open for about three weeks. This year, members have requested that the voting period be shortened to seven days. Once again, we’ll do what works for most members. Everyone is invited to voice their ideas, I’m certainly open to changing this schedule if we have something that works out better for the majority.

December 11, 2006 at 12:54 am #11149mikegukMemberRachy,
I like your honestly with all this, To me it seems that you have to make a choice, whether to go ahead and except the nomination for new seller of the year or refuse. Personally i would disregard all before August of this year. But i`m not sure how the hard the rules are in force or how the other sellers would take it. But as a buyer, i would say that you have only just really started selling used panties to us guys.
anyway that’s my pennies worth.
MikeDecember 11, 2006 at 1:27 am #11152AnnaMemberI don’t think other sellers would be upset either way (I’m not), the idea of the Awards is about adding to the fun of the fetish and showing appreciation to the sellers however long they have been selling.
It’s just a bit confusing, how do you define when someone starts selling panties?
Let’s see what everyone else has to say.
December 11, 2006 at 2:24 am #11153AnonymousGuestMy 2 cents? I’d say you’ve been selling panties since the 1st day you sold a pair…back in 2005Â
Whether you have a site or not is irrelevant – many more don’t than do 🙂
December 11, 2006 at 6:22 am #11154Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHmm yeah but then would you be considered as “actively selling and an asset to the panty community” if you sold one pair of knickers back then. I sold a pair to my boss when I was 17 so does that make me in the business for almost 20 years? Holy crap I hope not – I may have gotten a damn good promotion out of it, but certainly not any panty selling experience LOL hahaa
If the main prize can not go to sellers who have not been actively selling for a year or more, then that makes “newbies” who started actively selling under a year can be nominated for “New Seller”.
its early here – did that make sense? LOL
Personally I see Rachy as a new seller and an up and coming damn good one at that. B)
December 11, 2006 at 9:14 am #11155Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberI just read Rachy’s blog, that has now confused what is written here… quote “for the past 17 months or so I have been secretly selling my used panties, tights, socks and other various intimate fetish items!”
So would that mean that Rachy is a new active seller this year only, or an experienced longer seller who has been in the closet for a while :cheer:
Hmmmm:huh:

(PS – Cindy you kinky thing! The more I hear from you the more I like you :cheer:)[/color][/b]Honey, you have NO idea LOL *wink* .. the best one yet was when I did a writhing table dance on the Company Secretaries desk (he was a such a hottie) and as I went to grab his tie the Managing Director walks in just as I fling my shirt in the air, he grabs it and hands it back to me and says ;” Bye the way, you were out of tune!” LOL
Ok enough of that, I have stories up to armpits of work related saucepot fun.
Rachy, personally I still think you qualify for New Seller. Maybe just expand or include the word “actively selling from 2006” in your blog profile so as not to confuse everyone 🙂
