Mini Chat Updated

The Mini Chat has been updated. A tone is now sounded when someone makes a Mini Chat post. You can turn the sound on and off by clicking the little green (on)/red (off) button next to the send button. If you click on the smiley next to the send button, a pop up will open which will allow you to select and insert smileys. Click the question mark in the top-left corner of the Mini Chat box for a pop up help screen.

Works for me.  Took a few seconds for the dot to turn from red to green though.  The sound IS noticable to me.  It’s a guitar or bango cord or something?? –Kate

Also got the sound working here this afternoon and everything seems to be working just fine! :cheer:

For those who have said that they don’t hear the sound I give the advice again to make sure that you have cleared your browser’s temporary files, cookies, temporary internet files, and give it another go. Make sure the little button next to the smiley is green (if it is red, click on it). Needless to say, you have to have your computer’s speakers connected, turned on, and the volume at the proper level. The chat alert has been tested in all of the major browsers without problems.
