Moderators and Admin

Hi guys
PK .. is it possible you could you switch on something so that when someone reports a post the mods actually gets a copy of the post in our email so we know how urgent it really is, instead of just the message someone wrote about the post?

Also Mods .. We have been unindated with spam lately and each time I delete a post I copy it first (the whole thing including the name of the person (Just highlight the whole area). I then delete the post and send a PM to Admin with a copy (pasted) of the whole post which includes the persons name, date and info etc, so he knows to delete and ban that member.

I noticed one guy that spammed yesterday also was in again today doing the same thing.  I didnt remove yesterday’s spam as I was not online (but saw the report in my email) and Im assuming PK wasnt made aware of it or the spammer. 

To keep on top of them they need to be banned (unfortunately that is out of our power) hehe..so delete the spammy posts and remember to send a copy to PK to deal with.

I hate spammers, but then I hate spam too – could they be related? Slimey, smelly and gives you vomit hiccups? LOL

There is only one other moderator at the moment you know, it’s me.

I deleted the last one, today, but not the others, but I admit I didn’t copy it, I started to but lost the PM to PK and gave up. I have been thinking about this today though – would it be a better idea to have a period of time from registering before you are allowed to post?

As fast as spammers are banned they can set up other accounts and post within minutes, they may not bother if they have to wait say 7 days?

I wasnt sure who took it out as Leatherz is hovering and it could have been PK himself 🙂

Also I couldnt remember what area it was in, so it could have been Cherie too (she does pop on at the most strangest times hehe) .. or even Karen.

7 days seems a bit excessive, but then the idea itself is a good one, maybe 48 or 72 hours or so??  Dont know – or maybe they have to post in an introduction forum first LOL .. Hello, my name is Spammer LOL

Thanks to everyone who has been zapping the moron spammer, and yes, it is nice to let me know what happened, but really as long as I just know the username, I can ban them.

It is really pretty fruitless and a waste of the spammer’s time since we are on different time zones, between the moderators and myself, the spam message is caught pretty much ’round the clock and deleted. The spammer needs to make a new email account, register here, get the activation email, come back and log in, and then post his silly shit. Then likely minutes later it is deleted. Seems like a lot of work for two minutes of fame! LOL!

We can’t really put a delay on. I can set it so that I have to hand approve every new account before they can post but that really is inconvenient for most new users. I can’t imagine the spammer has had any luck here, but let’s see how it goes. If he insists on returning, we may need to set all registrations to require approval for a bit.

Uh Cindy, isn’t a scrum a particularly brutal and nasty part of a rugby game:huh: I’m not sure that scrummy is such a good thing to be.  :huh:

Know I’m  not a moderator but yes krooze scrum is where some big bloke with cabbage ear is grabbing your unmentionables saying what did you call my sister , scrummy is what you want to say when for example you see that pair of buns that you just have to pinch in a very tight pair of jeans !
