Basically, it were magicians or occultists. Female. Only a woman was able to touch menstrual blood without the fear of its power. It was said that only women know the mystery, so if someone would want to steal it, he would be cursed.

That’s very interesting Silver Cat, and I’m not at all surprised such a tradition exists.  I am rather of the opinion that the emphasis of pee over period in the Femdom arena is indicative of how much the whole thing is about his fantasies rather than her needs.

On a side note – my little girl barged in on me recently just as I was about to put a tampon in, and naturally demanded to know “what’s that?”  I am having some very interesting (and often awkward!) conversations with her lately about stuff like periods and where babies come from.  For all the time her brother has spent playing with himself, he’s never inquired about any of this.  :rolleyes:
