here you go, Geo…
1) First off, how old are you, where are you from, and what’s your profession (apart from running your website)?
I’m 20 years old, from Austin and a full time student.
2) When did you first start selling your used panties on the net ?? What made you decide to get into this partciular business activity?
I haven’t been selling for too long, I officially opened my website in February and I’ve started making real sales this month. By the looks of it I’d say I’m not doing too bad for a newb.
3) About how many hours do you spend a day on your website, tending to orders and other pantie-selling business?
It’s hard to say because I check up on different things sporadically throughout the day. I’ll check my email before school, just to see if there is anything that couldn’t wait till lunch. Then I reply to requests and questions at school. When I get home I check my email again for new orders and such, update my shop with pending or sold items, update my calendar accordingly, write a blog, post a new daily juice and take a few pictures for my customers. All in all, maybe 2 hours. Not bad, right? The great thing is that I would normally do these kinds of things anyway with a personal site or other projects of mine.
4) What are the typical price ranges of the panties on your site, and how does the price model work -do prices vary with duration of wear, style of pantie? On a good month, what is your income from this site (just a ballpark figure)?
Prices depend on a few factors, yes. First, I do what any company does and have a markup on the product in order to recuperate any spent money of my own. I typically add $10 to $15 to my panties. Other more experienced, well known girls with a lot of positive feedback can add a higher markup because panty lovers know and trust them. Cred is definitely a selling point. Second is of course treatments. Length of wear is a common one, but they can get pretty far out there depending on the imagination and desires of the customer and the comfort level of the seller. Third is shipping and packaging. Special requests such as priority or express mail might incur an extra charge depending on the seller as well as global shipping. Some panty lovers need to feel a bit more secure about their item and could ask for a different kind of packaging than a seller typically uses, and might also incur a fee. Basically, a used panty business is run like any other apparel business, only difference is my items have been worn and not washed before the customer gets it.
Income for me is hard to answer because I haven’t had a full month of purchases…yet. If the way my sales are going continues I could be somewhere around $250 to $300 a month, which isn’t much compared to the hours I work. Also, I’m my own boss, I make my own hours, I do what I feel like doing and I actually like my work. Let’s see how it adds up. I work approx. 2 hours a day which adds up to 60 hours a month. (Some people work that much in one week!) Divide $300 by 60 and you get $5 an hour. I’m saving myself the hassle of working at McDonald’s, basically. I get to sit on my bed, chat online and take pictures of myself instead of working a part-time job flipping burgers and smelling like grease when I get home too tired to go to parties. Yeah I could have a “legit†job, but why would I want to? I’ve got it made right here.
5) What are some of the weirdest request you’ve ever gotten from your customers? Are the customers mostly male – and lastly do you have any overseas clientele?
I haven’t had too many weird requests. I don’t consider my customers to be weird, frankly. A fetish is simply something that tingles your loins which isn’t openly accepted as normal. Who wants to be boring and normal anyway. I read magazines all the time like cosmo that have, advertised right on the cover, entire articles dedicated to making a girl’s sexlife more kinky and lively and fun. Guy’s magazines too. Everyone likes it, but no one talks about it. It’s voluntary castration. We only live once, right?
I can say I do find requests for “a load of shit†pretty unappealing. In the first month it seemed like I only attracted guys, or girls, who loved shit. What gets you going is your own business, but I can’t get into that. I assume my customers are male, but I have no real way of knowing if a girl is too shy to say her same is Sarah instead of Shawn. I have no way of knowing who any of my customers are just as they don’t know who I am. I do, however, let them know what my personality is like by writing blogs and doing myspace style surveys and posting them on my site. I tried to make it obvious that my work name is just that. I think Anni Panty is not a very common name. As for the guys overseas, yes I have recently decided to begin shipping across the Atlantic, or Pacific, whichever. I have only gotten requests from fellas in Europe, but I wouldn’t mind dabbling in some other foreign fare.
6) Last question – how does the packaging go when you send the undies out – do you ziplock ’em – do you send lil’ care notes, signed pics?
All girls package differently according to their own style and preference. I send 3 pictures of myself in the requested item thru email. I like email because I don’t have to add printing costs into the equation. I take the panties off, fold them up, put them in a zip lock baggy and suck the air out. Then I do it again inside another baggy for extra security. I wrap the whole thing in tissue paper, put it in a clasped envelope sealed with a shit ton of tape, print the stamp, address it and toss it in the parcel slot at my post office. I thought it would be embarrassing the first time, but everything is automated so I don’t have to wait in line or talk to a single post office worker. I was sending notes, but I decided to only do it now on special occasions because I didn’t want it to get boring.
Hope you got what you needed,

My name is Geo, and I’m one of the senior editors at YRB magazine in Soho, NYC. So you’re probably wondering – why am I writing you? Well, first let me assure you – there’s nothing sinister .. we are writing an article about the “used pantie” internet market in the summer issue of our magazine. We want to make it as realistic as possible, and I was wondering whether you’d be interested in answering a few questions for us to aid in writing this article. I can send you the questions via e-mail and if you want, we could plug your website in the article to give you some publicity ..
Thanks for reading this, and please let me know if you’re interested …
geo.

Did any of you girls have this guy contact you? I wonder how he even found me. lol.
I answered the questions as best I could. I hope I didn’t offend anyone. Please let me know if I did! I don’t know if this guy is for real or what, but I didn’t say anything I wouldn’t have told anyone else. I hope he’s legit! That would be awesome! I was telling my friends about it. Everyone is pretty stoked, but I’m not giving my hopes up.
