So here’s my plan:
Get PantyTrust verified
Get a PO box
Set up a super basic website(maybe here), addition to my blog, or Panty Mall situation with pictures of my panties, prices, and all that
Accept AlertPay, checks without the name filled in, Amazon gift certificates, and concealed cash
Start posting more around here and in other panty portals
Cross my fingers. So, do any of these steps sound horrible? Did I miss anything? I know I mixed a few up, but what’s your opinion, ladies and gents? I’d love to hear your reaction.
Also, if you mention to buyers through email, private messages here, or AIM that you’ll take PayPal, how can PP yank your account? How would they know? I’m curious. Though I have no desire to run afoul of them if I can help it, I don’t think they’re invincible.
August 6, 2006 at 12:18 pm #9455AnonymousGuestVery important thing: Have a gallery or enough photos! People love photos. They do not want just panties – if they did, they would buy them in a lingerie shop, they want you! 😉
August 6, 2006 at 5:17 pm #9456ClarkGriswaldMemberSomeone will turn you in to paypal. There seem to be those that get off on doing that. Now that Alertpay is taking credit cards again, why would anyone use those cock sucking fucking dirtballs at paypal any more anyway?
August 6, 2006 at 5:52 pm #9457tastykacieMemberI’d just be careful accepting checks as well. Money orders seem to work fine. Cancelled checks can always be requested from the bank so someone could find out your full name if they really wanted to.
Also, like silver cat said, make sure to have pics. Especially of you modeling the actual items you are going to sell. Good luck!August 6, 2006 at 7:15 pm #9458AnnaMember[quote author=ClarkGriswald link=topic=1348.msg8316#msg8316 date=1154884666]

It’s known as entrapment and PayPal love doing just that. mad
August 8, 2006 at 2:50 am #9466chubbilypantiesMemberThank you so much for all your help, guys and gals. PayPal is not the way to go, and I thank you for showing me the light.
As for money orders, don’t those have to be made out to a person? And if not, what’s the difference between sending a money order and cash if it falls in someone else’s hands?
You’re all so helpful!
August 8, 2006 at 8:39 am #9468Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberPayPal experience. Its actually not usually your fellow seller who would report you to PayPal – Paypal do it themselves…

I personally dont take cash or money orders. In the UK bank details are protected so if you gave someone your account number theres not much they can do with it, apart from pay money into your bank 🙂
To ALL sellers, do NOT use PayPal!!!!!
August 8, 2006 at 2:01 pm #9469chubbilypantiesMemberI never considered the fact that they had way, way too much time on their hands. Hmm, now I know. Sorry they’re such jerks.
In other news, omigosh, I bought a domain and am getting set up at Lunarpages. No more of this Livejournal silliness for me!
August 8, 2006 at 2:10 pm #9470Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberYAYYY well done and good luck Chubbilypanties 🙂 xxxx

August 8, 2006 at 2:41 pm #9471kellyamiinaMemberi dont see the problem in using paypal, as long as you are fully aware if the consiquences of being caught out, and that its quite possible, if not probable that some day you will be caught out!..the consiquences being, if you get caught your account will be closed and obviously you wont be able to use it for any other stuff that youd usually use it for, and you may have any funds frozen…but this isnt a definate, as they gave me 180 days to withdraw my funds.
🙂August 8, 2006 at 2:45 pm #9472Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberWell Kelly looks like you were one of the few lucky ones 🙂 .. however, I personally don’t think its worth taking the risk in using any kind of online payment processor that clearly states they do not support adult related sites.
There are other ways and I do hear that we all may be blessed with a new payment processor shortly which eBare are currently working on 🙂
August 8, 2006 at 2:47 pm #9473kellyamiinaMemberlets hope they get it sorted soon! 🙂
August 8, 2006 at 3:11 pm #9474chubbilypantiesMemberGuys, this website thing is terrifying. Expect me to come running to you every couple of minutes. I’m going to be logging some serious time over at Wikipedia just trying to figure out what half these technical terms mean.
Also, eBare’s just for UK people, right? So wouldn’t their payment processor be, as well? You ladies and gents get all the fun!
August 8, 2006 at 9:33 pm #9476ClarkGriswaldMemberI thought Alertpay took adult payments and started taking credit cards again? Why are people still looking for processors?
August 9, 2006 at 12:56 am #9477tastykacieMemberHi Again,
Back to the check/cash/money order thing. There’s really nothing you could do to guarantee the envelope wouldn’t fall into someone else’s hands. Just make sure your customer understands there is some risk involved in sending cash or a blank money order. I’ve been selling for about 8 months now (time flies!) and have never had a problem with it. Whenever someone has sent me a payment, it’s always gotten to me. I suppose if you’re really worried, they could put just your initials on it. I’ve done it before that way, but that probably depends on how strict your bank is.
As for Alertpay, how is it for new members signing up? I stopped using it because it was taking forever for other people to actually get a verified account.
