    Hi Clark
Just because a payment processor accepts credit cards doesnt mean they are good.

Many sellers and buyers have had problems with Alert Pay. If you type in the search box “Alert Pay” you will see some threads of discussion.

Personally I wouldnt touch them and I certainly would never expect my clients to sign up to them, knowing Alert Pay’s past history. Not everyone encounters problems but I am personally not willing to take the risk.

It is strange though, I thought I wouldnt be able to live without a payment processor but Online Banking is so easy in Europe nowadays that this is a far better way to send and receive money as there are no charges… and I have total control over all my orders. 🙂

I personally am using moneybookers (shhhsh) and TalkSugar. Talksugar is basically a phonesex service, so they take a lot of money from the ammount you make (from 25 to 30 percent usually), but it can work with people who just want to send cash quickly. Since there is a bonus program for every new paying member joining trough my button, it covers the percentage that they take from me… for the first time, lol.

It is not the best, but works for people who want to pay inmediately and do not want to sign up with anything that verifies their accounts properly (which can take few days).
I heard some people had problems with Talksugar, but I get my checks without problems, so…

I had cash stolen from envelope few times when I was selling things to germany about 4 years ago. I am quite worried every time I should get cash and I always ask the buyer to hide it with something else. Like for example a small chocolate or pair of nylons. Just so it it well concealed.

I had a look at Alertpay, but somehow, I do not like it… and I hate Paypal anyway. When I signed up with them (and I can not receive money, because I am Czech), I got fake scam messages about fake payments made from my account very often (and clicking the info link on that brings you always to some paysite or internet shop). I got scared at first, but then I realised I did not enter my credit card info in it anyway. So now the scam just ends in my trashbin. But… if these scammers did not get my payment email from Paypal, who did they get it from, when I do not put it online anywhere? Makes you wonder, hmm…

I think with PayPal, it’s not so much a case of if you’re quiet you can get away with it for a while, I think it’s more a case of why give them the service in the first place? They make money off every transaction so why reward a scammy scabby shoddy service that treats us panty girls and panty buyers like scum?

I’ve looked at Alertpay and based on the problems addressed on here in the forums I won’t be bothering thanks.

We’re lucky in the UK, our banking is free (for now) so online payment is the best as far as I’m concerned, no middle man taking their cut from me or my buyer.

Cheques and postal orders are no problem too because my name is A Walker so they can only be paid into my bank account (postal orders can be crossed).

Cash is okay too but yes, best hidden in something else (good idea Silver – hidden amongst some extra long fully fashioned silk stockings for me please).

I suppose it’s safe to say that no one method is perfect for everybody, you just have to weigh up the pros and cons and see what works for you.

Thank god for this forum though eh cos here we can discuss ideas and share experiences.

My only problem with Alertpay so far (and it’s still early in the game) has been the fact that becoming verified is a little obnoxious. Only one document left, though. Thank goodness.

My reason for wanting multiple forms of payment when I’d really love to stick with just concealed cash is ease of use for buyers. I think cash or Amazon gift certificates are just the bee’s knees, but maybe that’s not what some people are interested in. I’m certainly not going to promote an option that’s a pain to sign up with and then takes a cut of my money, but I’m going to leave it on the table.

Ladies without fancy-pants wonderful UK luxuries, about what percentage of your payments do your clients generally represent? Mostly cash? Lots of e-gift certificates? A significant amount of payments through processors? Let me know!

I get mostly money trough moneybookers and talksugar (hahaha, little money slaves are coming this month like moths to a lamp, hahaha!!!) and just very little as cash.

Just one thing. Be careful as some gift vouchers can be cancelled by the buyer. Better double check when they offer you something you do not know.

    Here’s my breakdown:

    BACS        – 35%
    Cheque      – 25%
    Cash        – 15%
    Amazon cert  – 15%
    postal order – 10%

Hope that gives you an idea

I can’t give you a nifty percentage, but here’s how mine goes:
Have only gotten 2 money orders ever
Some concealed cash (maybe 15-20 times total)
The rest is from online giftcards, mostly from Amazon and Victoria’s Secret

Bank Trans and giftys seem good. Lot of people ask me about PO BOX’s/CASH but then there’s the security implications. ie: they’ll give your info out on so much as a request here in the UK.

In regards to Paypal, you shouldn’t use them through respect. Think of what you demand as an adult webmistress, that kids and prudes stay away. Paypal are entitled to do the same. You can’t  slam and insult them when you were told not to use them. It’s hypocritical. Why do people want to line the pockets of a co that hates (with a captal H) your business anyway? You’re making them rich. The way I see it no-one will respect my boundaries if I don’t respect theirs. Whatever method they use to catch you out is fair game. It’s their business, their rules and fair game methinks. I don’t like them, I think they do indeed suck, but they make the rules. Disobey… lose your money. Pretty clean cut really. The remedy being stay away.

the reason i used paypal is simple, it was the easiest. Most people have paypal, and you can see the money go in right away..they take alot of charges yes, but i was using them when i wasnt supposed to! Panty selling is fine for me to use cash, cheques, bank transfer etc, as i dont need to see the money right away, but for webcam shows, its no good sayin to someone send me cash and come back in a day or 2 when ive recieved it! its a spur of the moment thing, they want it right there and then! Amazon and other gift vouchers are fine, if you dont need the cash, but i cant use the latest harry potter book to pay my electric bill!!  :cheer: 🙂

Most of gift vouchers suck for me. I am sitting in my little country (not that I do not love it, but…) and all I see on most sites is that if I let them send me something, I have to pay a HUGE international shipping fee that is usually bigger than the actual price of the item.
My little trips to other countries make some gift cards/vouchers possible, but then… waiting for my next shopping trip can be quite annoying.

But working on a list of gift certificates in my country that have english website as well. Hahahaha, fear me! 😉

So what do you use now if PayPal closed down your account?

I prefer AlertPay payments. But, the vast majority of my payments are made by money order or concealed cash. I have never had any trouble with AlertPay aside from a slow verification process.  That I can handle.
I used to use PayPal, but they found me out somehow, even though I was careful.  They closed my account, but I did have the opportunity to withdraw my funds 1st.  Now I don’t have a PayPal account to use for other things like I used to, which sux.  Would not recommend using PayPal for Adult transactions at all. -KK

Okay, so I’ve very much learned my lesson (thanks to you ladies, not from being burned) with Paypal. I especially liked the point that we ask individuals to play by the rules and not be under eighteen and yet it’s pretty shitty to go violate the PP TOS. That rationale plus the option of yanked funds does not a pleased Abby make.

So now I’ve bought my Websites for Panty-Selling Dummies book and am trying to make heads or tales of FTP. Why must you vex me, Internet? Arg!
