It’s not a bug, but rather a new feature in the chat room that lets you make a chat profile. I just put a news item regarding this on the front page. Has anyone tried out the profile option yet? What do you think?

P.S. Is the animated bat with the chat room piece a good thing to get you in the Halloween spirit, or do those flapping wings drive you batty?

I tried to add a profile for chat and things went a bit goofy! Now I can’t get into chat at all!!! Some chat regulars might say that’s a good thing! 😉

I have to leave for work but I will try again when I get home. You never know what might happen with these silly browsers!!! LOL

Didn’t see the headlines, eh?? PK has added some new bells-n-whistles to chat, which will allow a chat profile with pics.? I haven’t been to check it out yet but it’s “front page news” at PHog today.

More new ideas but still have to join to see who is in ,if anybody.plus if we are all a big happy family is private chat really needed.
Wish it could be fixed,sorry but i do like to be honest and this is my feelings and though others will disagree is that not the point of a forum.

The ability to make new chat rooms (and mark them “private”) is important.  Sometimes you just want to talk over your personal problems with a PHog friend (but not share them with everyone else online.)  It’s an important piece of functionality I think should stay.

I think a private room is very important. 

I certainly would love a one on one with Karen or Cherie (or both) .. or even with Jazzy 🙂 and I would like to know that the privacy is secure.

Wouldnt you like a private chat with me sometime Jazzy?  😉

However if someone is chatting and not marked private I do feel that it should be known that there is someone in chat ready and willing to have a um chat 🙂

Well, I added a profile and got a confirmation message telling me everything is ok. When I go into chat, I get the first screen asking my name and when I ok it I’m taken into chat as a guest. I’m not sure why I don’t get a second login screen.

I either broke it or just don’t know how to use it properly!  :huh:
