Hi Girls,
As you can tell I am new here. I have a few questions:
Ziploc bags or vacuum sealer?
I live in Canada, what is the safest way to ship to USA and avoid customs issues?
Should I send regular post or express?
Thanks Girls!!!

Ziploc vs. v/sealer – often, sellers AND buyers have a personal preference. Air leaks into Ziploc bags, but vac seal bags often have a smell to them that affects the panties. Also, when you vac seal a pair of panties it sucks the liquid from the panty crotch into the rest of the fabric… Instead of having one really wet spot you’ll have a panty that is slighly moist everywhere. I’d say stick with the Ziploc until it becomes clear that you have a large client base that wants vac sealed.
Canada to U.S. mail: I fold my panties as flat as possible and mail them in a 8×11 bubble envelope as an “oversized letter”. Takes less time than parcel post (a rip off!) and there’s no need for custom forms. Just make sure the envelope is thin and not heavy. Postage is $0.89×2 = $1.78. Any sort of expedited post to the U.S. costs more than $10, so unless your customer is paying for the courier it’s just not practical.Welcome to Panty Hog and I hope my answers were useful! 🙂

I’m also from Toronto Canada, and I find that most of my panty fans prefer express mail, this way they receive it in 3-5 business days. I even have a few fans that choose same day delivery.
I give US fans 3 shipping options:
FREE regular post (received 10-14 days)
$20 Express (received 3-5 business days)
$50 Same day delivery (UPS-with a no signature request)
All my rates are quoted in USD.I have found a sure way of packaging that seems to have been working like a charm!
1st – I wrap the wet gusset of the panty in the glad press and seal from the local grociers – tape the ends
2nd – I seal them in a double ziplock baggie and suck the air out of it with a small drinking box straw 🙂
as well as placing some tape over the seal3rd – I wrap in in pretty colourful tissue paper.
Most of my envelopes are alittle puffy..lol.. but I write on them HAPPY BIRTHDAY and on the custom sticker I put clothing 🙂
I haven’t had any problems since I have been using this method!
The same options are given to Canadian fans but at lower fees of dourse 🙂
Any other advice from fellow Candian Panty Sellers would be awesome smt

May 27, 2006 at 9:13 am #8397AnnaMemberHi Cherie
If you have a PO Box then that’s great, you can use that as a return address. A lot of girls don’t have a PO Box because of the costs so that’s when we need to make one up 😉
May 28, 2006 at 12:23 pm #8426cherieMemberHello Cherie of Cherie’s Panties, Cherie of Chateau Cherie here! 🙂
You (and the other newbies I haven’t had a chance to welcome – welcome all, btw!) should check out the other boards in this section of Panty Hog’s forum: “The 411,” “Help With Buying and Selling,” “Payment Processors,” and “Help For Sellers.” These boards have pretty extensive discussions about everything from why you shouldn’t use PayPal to customs procedures and rules relating to PO Boxes in the US, UK and Canada. Your current questions plus a bunch of others you didn’t even know you had are answered there.
HTH!
