Hi all. I’m very new to this and I would prefer to only accept Paypal payments because I don’t feel comfortable giving out my address — I don’t even feel comfortable exposing what city I live in. Is this impractical/unreasonable?
Also, what is the standard as far as payment…payment first and then ship? Or buyer pays upon receiving panties?
BTW – I am only looking to sell a few pairs of panties and don’t plan to make this a business or anything.
Thanks for any help!

Welcome to Panty Hog!
Paypal does not allow adult transactions, and will freeze your account/fine you if they suspect you have broken this term of their service. You accept Paypal payments at your own peril… People still do it, but people also get caught and lose their money.
You’re better off with online gift cards. Since you’re only looking for a few transactions, mailed cash or money orders probably aren’t practical for you (unless you get a P.O. box.)
Best wishes! 🙂

as Karen said don’t use Paypal
You may want to read over the information on Panty University as there is a lot of good advice there for new sellers.

However, I am still looking. 🙂
Mogan . welcome 🙂 … but …
Steer clear of PayPal. I continued to use them for a short while after they announced they are closing their doors to adult sellers a few years ago.ÂThey found out, and they kept the money I had in my acount and froze it .. so now I have a paypal account still running, my credit card and bank details are all frozen at PayPal too and so I cannot open another account even for innocent purposes! And I cannot log into my frozen account to close it! Evidently they can keep this frozen for 7 years!!!!
Use PayPal if you want but you may live to regret it!!
The best option for you Morgan would be to get a PO box where you can accept cheques and cash etc, especially if you dont wish this to become your full time job.

January 25, 2006 at 5:46 am #5948sexygirlmorganMemberThank you all so much for the info!
Cindy, what about moneybookers, ccbill, or yowcow? Are they usable instead of paypal?
How is it that paypal finds out about adult transactions?
Also, does it cost much to get a p.o.box?
Thanks again!
-MorganJanuary 25, 2006 at 6:44 am #5949Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHiya Morgan.
Moneybookers I do have an account with but I am having MAJOR trouble in getting my credit card verified with them.Â
The information they request which you should see on your statement when they do a penny check thing is missing! I have tried this now 3 times and each time I have a problem.Â
I have contacted them but they didnt seem very helpful, so if Im having a problem then Im certainly not going to recommend others to use them – especially my clients.
CCbill only take subscriptions, they do not take onboard transactions for tangible goods.
YowCow I looked at but if I remember rightly they dont let you withdraw funds unless you live in the USA and I havent heard many positive things about them.
Paypal etc find out because other adult website owners who have been caught will snitch on you. The company will contact you pretending to be a potential buyer and find out where you are directing payments to.
I dont know how much a PO Box will cost, you will need to ask your local post office. I have never used one myself as I dont need to – most people are happy enough to do online banking these days, but a PO Box is handy if you are concerned about giving out some of your details. 🙂
We are all hit by the Nochex thing and most of the UK sellers are in the same boat. Im sure something will come along – but when that might be is the question.

I just got a p.o. box at the start of this month and it was $19 for 6 months. They’re very strict on the 2 forms of ID required to open one, they have to be state or government issued, but aside from that, it’s been fine. Hope that helps.

January 27, 2006 at 3:17 am #5982JulesMemberI have had my P.O. Box for 9 months now. I paid $40 for one year, plus $2.00 each for 2 keys.
By the way, I am in the US.January 27, 2006 at 4:33 am #5984adminKeymaster[quote author=Kinky Kate link=topic=752.msg4669#msg4669 date=1138329507]
