well now u got me worried bout my ex!! lol
i do have an unusual surname, probably 2 or 3 in my town, so i guess if someone really wanted to find me they would..but then would anyone really wanna find me!!..cant be too careful tho..ill consider it tho, so thanks for your help 🙂March 15, 2006 at 6:21 am #6754darkhairedkarenMemberSomeone previously mentioned that exchanging U.S. currency for GBP was troublesome (either inconvenient or you get dinged quite badly on the exchange rate?). Why not get your customer to send you your native currency (i.e. get him to do the currency exchange on his end?) That way you can get your cash in the mail and it is spendable right away. 🙂
March 15, 2006 at 6:41 am #6757Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberBank Transfers … there is no information that you give out which would not appear on a personal cheque. Apart from knowing your surname there is not much anyone can do. The data protection act is very hot in the UK and before my bank will even answer a silly question they ask all sorts of verification questions first to prove who you are.
Cash in the mail .. hmmmm … once bitten twice shy. When I first started up I did this once and the money never arrived. The client was pissed thinking I was lieing and I was pissed at the client for thinking he never sent it.
Just be careful – I personally would never ever take that risk again – but it works well for many.
Love Cindy x

March 15, 2006 at 10:44 pm #6791darkhairedkarenMemberAs far as concealed cash goes, I think it works great for small amounts (e.g. under $20). It is always sent at the buyer’s risk, but if it gets lost, being out, say, $10-15 isn’t that big a deal for most people. It just seems like an unnecessary hassle and expense to purchase a money order for such a small amount.
This being said, letter post is very, very reliable. Think about all the things you’ve ever mailed… Christmas cards, cheques for your hydro bill, tax returns… How many of those ever got lost? I’d guess mail delivery is over 99% successful. So unless it’s a repeat customer with a proven record of paying, if someone tells me they sent the payment but it “got lost in the mail” I am a bit doubtful. Undeliverable payments (for whatever reason – incorrect address, etc.) get returned to the sender. The two times payment never arrived for me 1) it was returned to the sender (he had addressed it incorrectly) and he re-sent it and I received it no problem, and 2) the guy had an Ebanned feedback record of two positives and FIVE negatives for non-payment!
March 15, 2006 at 11:13 pm #6795AnnaMemberWell there you go, if you wanted to play safe I suppose you could accept cash from your regulars and alternative from new buyers until they prove themselves.
It’s trust all round isn’t it?

March 19, 2006 at 1:12 am #6873cherieMemberMy solution to the concealed cash problem is to ask that they send it with delivery confirmation. The USPS has several options which will allow both sender and recipient to confirm that the payment was sent and/or delivered, and the small extra charge (like 5 bucks max) is, I think, worth it for everybody’s peace of mind.

CherieMarch 21, 2006 at 2:47 pm #6950lizzies_pantiesMemberHey guys,
It has been a while since I been in this neck of the woods especially with closing my site down, been really busy pursuing career goals, but I may be able to help with payment processor, I been doing cams and selling panties quite well on adultwork the customer buys credits and pays what you are asking, then they transfer to you bank, it takes them 2 weeks from request to do it, but once you start and you withdraw weekly you really don’t notice as you have money going in every week great service check it out hope it helps you all. http://www.adultwork.co.uk
Thanks
