Hi Guys
I just come from the UK Royal Mail website which tells all about packages and letters going abroad.? They say that any correspondence like paper or general stuff can be sent anywhere but packages outside the EU do need a customs label.? However, I still have never had to fill out one at all and everything I have sent has arrived fine (maybe my panties feel like paper? haha — it will all be x-rayed anyway and unless they see anything strange (food, drugs, plants, bombs etc), then I dont really think its a huge issue – customs label or not!) … In fact maybe the packages having a customs label is checked even more thoroughly sometimes? Here are some interesting links below:
UK International Postage by regular Airmail
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=400036&mediaId=400347Quotes:
“You do not usually need a Customs document for mail to any destination containing only letters, documents or other similar forms of correspondence. You will need a Customs document for all Small Packets and other packages containing goods to destinations outside the EU and these specific EU destinations: Andorra, Canary Islands, Gibraltar, San Marino and Vatican City State.
All postal items may be examined by Customs, but normally letters, packets containing documents or similar forms of correspondence are excluded, as are items addressed to EU countries.”

…..Now I’m off to see what the German Postal Site says .. probably similar but everything I have sent – even to odd countries like South Africa I never had to fill out customs label and they have arrived quickly and safely!? So what is their meaning by General Correspondence, does that include sending your “friends” or “family” little “gifts” ?!?!?! It all seems a very grey area to me and its not suprising that most people in the Post Offices dont seem know themselves. My way works fine so far *touch wood* and in my experience – if it aint broke dont fix it 🙂
Hey Karen .. dont worry about your panties, they probably got mislaid and probably wont smell like they should anymore.? Id send your client another pair and forget about the first pair.? They dont ferment – they just blow up! hahaha *kidding* xx

Okay Jess, here’s our background story.Â
“Mum was a bit of a tramp back in the day, so there’s about 200 guys who might be my dad. Since I don’t know which guy is my real dad I send them all socks for their birthdays. This works out better than a DNA test because I have around 200 dads helping me through college.”
You like? 🙂

Cindy, you’re right. If they’re not in by tomorrow (three weeks) I’ll send another pair. That means first sale = loss. DOH. But customer-centered service = good. 🙂
July 20, 2005 at 9:15 pm #2913darkhairedkarenMemberYAY! My NZ client confirmed that the panties arrived. I think it might have been quite a few days ago because he gave me the, “oops, I meant to e-mail you” bit! 🙂
YAAAAAAY postal service!
