hey ladies
i was wondering if i can ask your opinion on paid advertising. i’m sure some of you may have paid for promotion before be it in adult magazines or maybe on some websites but i was wondering if i could ask for your views.
i am thinking of setting up a website using a great domain which would generate a lot of traffic. i am a graphic designer with experience in webdesign and promotion and feel i would be equipped to do something like this. i don’t know if any of you have seen websites where you pay for space per pixel or per ‘block’ or space – some sites offer £1 for a 10×10 pixel space and you can specify how much space you would like, for example.
i’m just in the early thinking stages of this anyway and it might be something none of you are interested in considering there are free promotional tools available, but i’m thinking more in terms of a ‘page of adverts’ targetted only to used panty sales. i have two domains registered which i think would work really well for something like this.
i am also about to set up my own site, again with a good domain and can offer webdesign and hosting for anyone who requires it for a low price. i may end up turning my site into a ‘panty family’ – one domain name with different girls eg http://www.panties.com/sadie, http://www.panties.com/jen
again only in the early planning stages but any feedback would be appreciated.
December 10, 2007 at 11:46 pm #18806AnnaMemberHmmmm, a couple of things.
You’re right, there is plenty of free advertising available on established sites that are already attracting tons of targeted traffic, Panty Hog and Panty Trust being two. Not only that we have sellers, like Cindy, who top Google who offer links for free. There really is no need to pay to advertise.
The second issue is that one site with lots of girls just reeks exploitation, commercialism and fakery. However genuine your site actually is, you will always look just like the many fake panty farms that have come and gone over the years.
The whole point of this fetish is that the buyers is buying something personal. They want to get to know the seller. This fetish isn’t always about the product, it’s about the girl behind (or in rather) the product. What I’m saying is that you attract more sales by personality that exposure and advertising. Panty farms are impersonal, the girls all start to look like one another. Pert-arsed, smooth skin, faceless, all about 18-25, all size 10, all at college, all unable to use the word discretely correctly…bland, bland, bland…..borrrrring!
Individual blogs, sites and auctions are the way to go with plenty of time for the community.
Sorry sadiejane but it just ain’t gonna work.
December 11, 2007 at 12:40 am #18808sadiejaneMemberThanks a lot for all your advice Anna. It really helps to get advice from people who are experienced because I’ve literally just sold my first auction so I’m completely new to the whole world of selling this type of item so I’m not aware of all the sites that have come and gone and the general consensus of the people who like to buy panties.
I think on reflection I agree with all you’ve said and I’m still going to go ahead with setting up a personal website and be an active member of the community.
Looking forward to getting to know you all better and learning a lot from you.
Thanks again for the comments!! x

My pleasure, your welcome (did you see what I did there?)
One of my fav bugbears is ‘alot’ The word doesn’t exist. It’s ‘a lot’ two separate words. 🙂
December 11, 2007 at 5:34 pm #18814laculotteMemberOnce again a good example of honest, helpful and kind advice. That’s why I like this community so much

December 11, 2007 at 11:52 pm #18817poppyperfectionMemberi was going to do a whole paragraph of bad spelling and typing then, but then i realised after the 1st sentence i was too tired to think of anything funny at all! haa haa oh well… bed time for me then! haa haa
but i agree with Anna, paying for advertising isn’t needed, if you get to know us girlies we’ll always link to blogs and the like from our pages… every little helps (my saying before tesco nabbed it!) damn you tesco!
that reminds me – i must add Elise! right i am off to do that NOW!!!
December 14, 2007 at 9:43 am #18833PiercedPantiesMemberAs an English student, don’t even get me started on bad spelling, although we all make mistakes lol.
I agree with Anna about advertising and other forums, just look at that ‘pantylvrs’ thread for one that didn’t even get off the ground (goodness that was a fun one to read!)
Poppy, thank you for reminding me. You will be added today…better research my HTML since my laptop abandoned me. 😉

xxxDecember 21, 2007 at 11:49 am #18942GustavMemberWell it looks like another bad seller has been and gone, I was dumb enough to win Sadiejane’s first auction on Ebanned, I sent payment last Monday and since then I’ve had no reply to emails, and she looked like someone that was trustworthy, oh well, Merry Christmas
December 21, 2007 at 12:25 pm #18943Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberFirstly Gustav I am so sorry to hear about that but why don’t you place your faith in Panty Trust and deal with Panty Trust Verified girls? If you ever get ripped off by a member there at least you will be compensated! You seem to always have so many problems with unverified sellers I don’t understand why you keep buying from them
