You know the list of the most recent posts?…. well is it at all possible we could have a little link that gives us the opportunity to see more headings of recent posts?

What I mean is that its a really short list of the latest posts and I am searching for a post I saw on my RSS feeder to reply to, thinking I could just log in and quickly reply.  I cant find it! hahaha

yes I know I can just open my RSS feeder again, but its not a bad idea to have an additional list of more recent posts for those lazy ones, like I am in the mornings 🙂 … The forum always goes nuts overnight (in our European time) lol

What do you think? Can you make it happen?

That’s not a bad idea Cindy, there is the ‘View Unread posts since last visit’ option available too, but when your in a rush you tend to forget it .. I know I do  :cheer:

Leatherz .. yes I know what your saying but what about when you have already viewed that forum and you want to go back later to reply. 

Sometimes, when the forum is really busy it is difficult to find the post you originally wanted to reply to when you have left it few hours.

Perhaps maybe an extended pull down list could be used or some kind of link that includes the last 6 or 12 hours of post info etc

Cindy .. ok I see what you mean it can be difficult finding a post again when there’s a lot going on .. especially when I’m having to keep an eye on what that Bear of mines is up to  :cheer:

Hi All,
I can put a recent posts listing on the front page, or elsewhere on the site, but it sounds like Cindy is looking for something that shows more than just the last ten posts. For now, I’ve upped the number of recent posts shown from the last ten to the last twenty. I’ll look further into the options for this, but a new verision of the forum script that we are using (Simple Machines) is being finalized at this time that may have significant code changes. In short, I’ll likely wait to see how the next version works to avoid having to re-write a script when we update. Don’t forget about the search option too. If you remember the jist of the post, you can search for it. Or if you recall the author, you can look at a listing of their most recent posts from the bottom of their profile page.

well with a new version of the forum script in the offing it’s worth waiting to see what that brings.? And showing 20 posts on recent listing looks fine, I’d forgotten about Search recent posts from a member’s profile page? :cheer:

Thanks PK for upping the list .. thats much better (for me at least) … Looking forward to seeing the version when it comes out. 🙂
