Problems with Forepay?

Hi everyone,

I started using Forepay about a month ago but have been having some problems. They haven’t deposited the small amounts of money into my account, so I have been unable to verify my bank account and so can’t transfer my money into it! So my money is just sitting there and I can’t access it, most frustrating… Also the fax number given to send address verification documents to doesn’t ever seem to work. You can only contact customer services via email, and as yet they haven’t replied to any of my messages. Has any one else had any problems with them or do you reckon they are safe to use? I’m a bit wary about carrying on accepting payments through them at the moment. What do you reckon? Thanks! x

I don’t use them – from what you’re telling me, I’d start to look for another payment solution.  They don’t answer emails, their fax number doesn’t work, etc…doesn’t sound like a very reputable company, or at least one that’s truly concerned about running a proper business.

Firstly Forepay is owned by Ebare – a very reputable company. They are not some fly by night outfit so your money is safe.

Secondly they have been swamped with enquiries and business because they are the only adult payment processor in the UK. So new venture, huge demand. They are there, they are trying to deal with things but they just need more time than say…paypal.

Thanks Anna! I didn’t know that, you have put my mind at rest. It is obviously a much needed service, now all we need is an international version! I will just have to be patient! x

i am a member of forepay and it took them ages to verify my bank account but it was eventually done so they are genuine, i did panic a little though lol, does anyone know if it is only uk people who can join?

I think it is only for Uk residents, booo… I have got an account with Alertpay though and they say that they are going to expand into localised banks internationally from next month, so that sounds promising. Hopefully then we could use it for payments in the UK and internationally too, and transfer our money into UK accounts? In the terms and conditions it only mentions that you can’t use it for child pornography (gulp!). x

Has anyone else noticed that the Forepay website has been down for 2 days? Does anyone know what is going on with it? A bit concerned!!

If I were you I’d try to contact Neil and Lisa through Ebare.co.uk and find out what is going on.

Booo, just tried it and its still not working for me, I will try not to take it personally! I emailed ebare on Friday but haven’t heard anything back yet. I have taken it off my payment options for now until it is sorted anyway.
