Hi PK your Highness? :cheer:
I was looking at the RSS feeds and noticed I could only get the forum one to feed to my News Agregator, are the other ones ‘in development’ or am I being an idiot? The latter is most likely I know? :cheer:
I just wondered, not a problem if the links are in progress? :cheer:
April 17, 2005 at 4:46 am #2016adminKeymasterHi Leatherznzpice,
I just checked it out, and saw that somehow the permission for a rss related file had changed on the server. I set it back where it needed to be, and you should have no problem now. I’m glad to hear that someone is using them. RSS is a really neat thing, and I hope others will check them out. O0-PK

What the heck are RSS feeds? 😛RSS feeds use a programming language called XML, and allow you “broadcast” the content of another site on a page on your site using just a single url, or “feed” from the 1st site. When the site providing the feed updates or adds content, what’s on your site does too. For example, if you wanted to have a “Panty Hog” page on your site, you would click one of the links found under Syndicate Panty Hog on the left hand side of the front page. You would then take the url that you would get by pressing that link, and put it into the feedreader on your site. Here is a link to a sample of what it would look like:
https://www.usedpantyportal.com/index.php?option=com_newsfeeds&task=view&feedid=20&Itemid=107 of course, only the body with the listings would show on your page not the Panty Hog menu, header, etc. We are actually using an RSS feed from another website to bring you what you see when you choose the sex headlines link in Extras menu. You can set the feed to show as much or as little detail as you like. The other neat way to use the RSS feed is to use it with a news reader on your computer or through a service like myYahoo. I am guessing that this is what Leatherz is doing. Then, when you check your mews reader, you’ll be able to see what has been recently added to Panty Hog or the forums without having to come to the Panty Hog site directly. A google search for “rss reader” will give you plenty of options to get a freeware rss reader, or a script to use it on your web site. Still glad you asked?  :cheer:

So if I wanted to I could sort of put the PHog forum on my site, and not just a link to it?
