most buyers these days won’t touch you if you are not verified. This proves that you have gone the extra step to prove that you are genuine and that you care about your customers.
Absolutely.
You will also find that other verified sellers will trust you more. This means links exchange, more traffic and a bigger network of panty friends!
September 17, 2008 at 9:38 am #23258missamandamaeMemberjust a suggestion…
Since the PP issue is covered… maybe this post is not needed since there is a bit of drama on it…
like i said just a suggestion…
September 17, 2008 at 10:02 am #23261Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberDrama? I don’t see any drama at all. I see someone asking about PayPal which has already been convered 100s of times on here.
I am guessing for some reason the other hundreds of PayPal threads on here are not being seen/read whatever so this thread should in fact stay so newbies have a higher chance of finding it 🙂 .. don’t you think?
September 23, 2008 at 8:06 pm #23322PiercedPantiesMembertopdrawer, I agree with you on the conflicting nature of PayPal topics on the forum.
Although this topic has been covered gazillions of times on here, there are, unfortunately, some new sellers who say that paypal is reliable and that is what confused you, and many other newbies. As you now know, PayPal is B.A.D 😉 and I agree with Cindy that we just leave this thread up – perhaps delete the others..?xx
September 23, 2008 at 9:50 pm #23329missamandamaeMemberWell I was just saying that because there was some posts at the start of the thread that seemed to have a rude misunderstanding… (EX: the whole biting your head off posts….)
Since the two people seemed to have worked it out I was thinking this thread was less necessary…
But that was just my opinion… I dis not want other people (like newbies) to read the whole tread and maybe get a bad idea about either of the two people involved in that misunderstanding…
the paypal issue will always come up again this is by far not the last time it will be posted even with a pinned message… so i just thought the thread with the drama could be removed but in the end it is up to the mods…
like I said just my two cents…
October 1, 2008 at 2:38 am #23396topdrawerMemberWell I’ve got my site pretty much set up now, just needs some tweaking and I need to do some photography, but you will be pleased to hear that I have stated very clearly that I do not accept PayPal – I’m going to do the online banking thing like Anna suggested.
Hopefully I’ll have it fully up and running by the end of next week!
October 1, 2008 at 8:07 am #23402anniMemberHello, topdrawer.
There is a sticky thread about paypal right in the newbie help section. The reason it is stuck to the top of all the other posts is because we are tired of having this conversation basically every week. The advice in that thread is the advice you should take. If not, please do not muck up more water by suggesting ways to trick or defraud paypal.
Surely if you don’t explicitly state what’s being sold, and use a different email addy to the one you use on your site, so they can’t link it to you, it would be ok? If the buyer just presses the “Goods” button then it could be for anything! …
Tricking anyone is not the way we operate, even if it is a faceless corporation. Your prospective buyers are much more important than how conveinently you can make your money off of them.

As you can see from my post (the one before yours) I’ve got my site mostly up and running and I’m not accepting payments by Paypal.

Exactly my point, topdrawer. That is called fraud. I wanted to make sure this thread was not as confusing to later newbies as earlier threads were to you.
I’m glad you have decided to take our experienced advice by not accepting paypal. Not only will your customers feel safer when buying from you, but you save yourself the trouble of learning the hard way.
Some other alternatives to online payment processors are amazon gift-certificates, online gift-cards from your favorite store and western union.
Good Luck

They’d know because they watch forums such as this one, checkout the new sellers, pose as a prospective buyer, get your email address and bingo – close you down.
Also they watch the comments box when a payment is made. Certain words will be flagged up by the system for further investigation.
Even innocuous words such as ‘services’ will prompt Paypal to call the purchaser to explain the exact nature of those ‘services’. I know this because it happened to a friend of mine who paid his Mistress for their session via Paypal.
October 25, 2008 at 5:29 am #23816DevynDeanMemberHey everyone, I have a quick question reguarding alertpay.
I’ve just gotten my first direct sale order, and i need to give him a pay url to give me money$. What do i send him?October 25, 2008 at 9:27 am #23817SerenaMemberHiya
Well done on your first direct sale 🙂
and good questions too! I have only just signed up myself with Alerpay, and not 100% sure. But I guess it works similarly to PayPal, so in theory all you’d need to do is to send the payer the ID/email address you have signed up with.
Hopefully more info will be posted too
Let us know if you find out, I’m curious myself!X
October 25, 2008 at 3:11 pm #23818PonygirlMemberFor Alertpay all I ever give out is my email address (the one that I registered on the site with). You don’t need to give out any other information, as far as I know. I am in the UK, but I assume it is the same wherever you are?
