September 5, 2007 at 1:24 am #17135gemma_ypgMemberSeptember 5, 2007 at 1:57 am #17137Mizsweets21MemberI want to know the difference between web site URL and URL with reciprocal link?
September 5, 2007 at 3:41 am #17138adminKeymasterA url is simply the address to a web site or page. http://www.usedpantyportal.com is Panty Hog’s url.
A reciprocal link simply means that two web sites, blogs, or pages are trading links. In other words, “I’ll put a link on my web site to your web site, if you’ll put a link to my site on yours”. If someone says that they require a reciprocal link, they are saying that they won’t put a link up to your site unless you also link to theirs.

September 5, 2007 at 3:27 pm #17149Mizsweets21Memberthanks how is it that there link is one my page and goes to their site and they say they can’t find it but I’ve tried it. So my page doesn’t link from there site
September 5, 2007 at 3:37 pm #17150Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHIÂ .. I just had a peek at your site, I could only find it by going to your profile so why not pop it in your signature.Â
Firstly the music is so loud and awful and will make buyers close your site down immediately.
Secondly I couldnt even see an enter button!
Thirdly, I only saw one link going to PantyDraw but nothing else – I havent seen a pantydraw link look like that before, but they may have changed their link requirements. Some sites have a particular way they like their links and text to look like.
And last but not least, it might be a good idea to learn HTML before embarking on running your own site. Links and things are probably the most easiest and most updated thing on your site and if you cant do it, maybe stick to blogs.
We all had to learn, I taught myself HTML and believe me back then there was no Panty Hog or places to get advice from. Google provides ALOT of HTML lessons and walk throughs – try taking a leaf out of Gemmas book 🙂
September 5, 2007 at 3:40 pm #17151AnnaMemberYou can get to her site by clicking on the little World icon from her post. Just to the left under the avatar.
I agree about the site though. Very difficult to understand and navigate. There is no enter button! I found the Panty Draw link too. Very odd indeed.
To get into the site you have to click on the button that says INSTANT AC I’m sure it will say ACCESS but I can’t see it as it has disappeared off my screen.
Mizsweets – you managed to link to Panty Draw okay so I’m not sure what your problem is?
September 5, 2007 at 3:47 pm #17152Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberOh yeah the world icon .. duh!
Instant Access usually means a member area where people have to pay a fee and join and most people will avoid anything that suggests a member fee.
Mizsweets, contact pantydraw – the link seems to be working ok
September 6, 2007 at 12:02 pm #17157PonygirlMemberHi Mizsweets,
I don’t have a clue what a reciprocal link is, I cheated and used site studio to build my site, it is pretty basic but its easy to set up and (I think) my site is easy to navigate. You have to pay a little bit of money to use it but in my opinion its worth every penny, without it my site would have been, well, totally rubbish really!! I have massive respect for Gemma and co for building their own sites though. Love your site by the way Gemma, really classy. x
September 6, 2007 at 1:32 pm #17158gemma_ypgMemberHey Ponygirl, thanks for that. 🙂
I used Joomla to make my site, that’s free too, and I put in some of the free extensions like the shopping cart etc, and just went in and changed the bits I wanted to like the layout and stuff like that. Even though I was using Joomla though it still took me over 4 weeks to get it all done lol!

September 6, 2007 at 3:59 pm #17160PonygirlMemberHa ha Cindy, I don’t know about Mizsweets but, no, I am afraid I am actually that clueless!! I am slowly learning though! Oh the shame…Â  x
September 6, 2007 at 4:18 pm #17161Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberTo quote PK a few posts down:
“A reciprocal link simply means that two web sites, blogs, or pages are trading links. In other words, “I’ll put a link on my web site to your web site, if you’ll put a link to my site on yours”. If someone says that they require a reciprocal link, they are saying that they won’t put a link up to your site unless you also link to theirs.”
… I am still in shock – but smiling :cheer: :cheer:

September 10, 2007 at 6:40 am #17207anniMemberdreamweaver is the easiest way to learn html, scouts honor. adobe.com has a free trial version you can download.
what makes it so great is that you can create an entire page using your mouse, laying stuff out, and then you can click on an item, say a table, then switch to code view and BOOM there is the html you need.
after a while of going back and forth between views and picking up some tutorials on css from google, I made my new site from scratch in 3 days.
srsly, it’s not as complicated as it sounds.
