After the usual problems with Paypal and Nochex and the constant re-writing of my website (I came across Opay and seemed to be doing ok for a few weeks untill today. Bless them they sent me an email saying that someone had reported my site to them as being pornographic blah blah..Now,Opay were brilliant and said that they did’nt think my site was pornographic but I am treading a fine line.I think these people are fairly new and want to be obliging but it’s such a grey area even for them…I’ve removed my opay buttons out of courtesy really…but maybe there’s hope? what I want to know is who is going out of their way to report us:huh: mad
March 7, 2006 at 10:37 pm #6544andieMemberthe people that own the auction sites. they feel you owe them a cut of the action. that’s who.
March 8, 2006 at 3:55 am #6548darkhairedkarenMemberDoes it really matter? If you are breaking the rules you are in the wrong, whether or not you get caught. If you use a payment processor that allows adult stuff you have nothing to worry about regarding being reported.
March 8, 2006 at 8:42 am #6551AnnaMemberYeah but as alluringpanties says: Opay agreed she wasn’t pornographic! It’s the people who are reporting her who aren’t reading the rules! It’s hassle we can do without:angry:

March 8, 2006 at 11:04 am #6552Delicious_JessMemberKaren got the nail on the head. I’ve never heard of Opay but chances are if they do not like pornography then Panty selling’s going to be a No-No soon too and should be avoided. Panty selling is taboo and generally not as accepted as porn. If they don’t have good chargeback protection then they’ll boot you off, especially if you’re being reported. Panty selling is expensive and very high risk for company to handle.
Who reports you? The world and his neighbour, prudes, religious nuts, nasty rivals, sad people with too much time, the moocher you said couldn’t have free pics…..Welcome to panty selling. :cheer: I’ve never heard of auctions reporting people though  The auction owners I know are too busy to faf around and be that babyish and they use the same payment methods we do. It’s a bit suicidal, don’t you think?

March 8, 2006 at 11:16 am #6553AnnaMemberSo by the sounds of it: correct me if I’m wrong – these payment processers are happy to accept panty sites until they get a few complaints from puritans, and then they scratch their heads for a while, um and ah, but possibly boot you off eventually anyway?
Hmm
Why do we need payment processors anyway?
Can’t we all stick with Bank Transfer and basically boycott payment processors?
Are buyers happy with Bank Transfer? I think I’ve asked this question before but didn’t get a response 😥
I’m new at this and I need advice from time to time…

March 8, 2006 at 12:25 pm #6555Delicious_JessMemberExactly Anna!
You said it in a nutshell hun. But it’s the nature of the beast. Kind of out of sight out of mind I guess. If the company can get money out of us without complaints, charge backs or anyone drawing attention to the fact they’re profoundly “adult” then most let it fly. Problem is (Like PPPay) we all flock upon the same companies. Some don’t want to be tainted as mainly adult processors so call time on us. Or their bank slaps the back of their hands, bumps a load of charges on them and force them to drop us. (Like Nochex) Nochex loved being openly Adult, their backing bank didn’t.
You can get by using mail and online banking. Guys roll with the punches and if they want panties then they have to go with the flow like we do. But saying that most choose online payments over others given the choice so they’re still desirable. I think we all realise that most processors are a temp patch….but a nice one while they last 😉
Most processors would have a party if we boycotted them :cheer: The clever among us realise that the adult industry is a great money spinner, it’s just battling public & bank opinion that’s the problem. Damn prudes! 😛

March 8, 2006 at 12:58 pm #6557AnnaMemberBoo sucks to the prudes and the finger pointers (Who’s fingering us? nice one alluring) fu
I always think that they who shake their heads and tut the loudest are those who are repressed and fighting their own kinks
Anyway aren’t we doing good to the environment by not using all that washing powder to wash our panties with?

March 8, 2006 at 12:59 pm #6559AnnaMemberOOPS!! That fu wasn’t for you alluring panties – it was for the prudes! I only realised how it looked after I’ve posted.

March 8, 2006 at 9:54 pm #6569darkhairedkarenMemberI’ve never tried any online banking… Mostly mail and little bit of AlertPay. smt There’s something seductive but dangerous about mailed payments… Seductive in that you can hold the cash in your hands, dangerous in that you think, “woo hoo! Cash! Time to go lingerie and panty shopping!”Â
My most reprehensible habit of reading garbage fiction novels has resurfaced, so I think I might be accepting Amazon.ca gift certificates again real soon. 😉 :cheer:
March 8, 2006 at 10:47 pm #6572AnnaMemberAs far as I can see online banking is the way to go. I can accept payments from the UK, EU and US and Canada with just a few numbers, I can see the money appear online and then post my panties, no waiting for cheques to clear.
Never thought of online gift vouchers, what an excellent idea, I’m always on Amazon or Play buying CDs DVDs and books. Fab idea.

March 9, 2006 at 12:21 am #6573ClarkGriswaldMemberI think the bank transfer is a Europe thing. Here in the US, I never heard of anyone being able to do it. You say that you’ve been able to get bank transfers from the US? How is it done?
March 9, 2006 at 12:47 pm #6581Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHi .. sorry I havent been around folks, ive been really poorly with a crap flu bug. A huge massive heartfelt, WELCOME to all the newbies by the way and thanks to all those peeps that sent me “Get well soon” emails. smt
OK Bank Transfer is the same as a Bank Wire and any bank should be able to sort it out, however, the rather large downside to this is that banks can charge really silly amounts to carry out a transfer to a bank in another country or having another currency.
The second annoying thing about using this method is that the receiving bank can also whack on an additional massive fee when receiving another currency – so out of a 20 pounds transfer, the customer in the USA may have to pay 60 dollars in fees and your bank might charge you anywhere between 5-25 pounds. You will have to find out what is best for you and your client, and in which currency the transfer should be sent.
So … just check with your banks before proceeding. I live in Europe and have both a Sterling Pounds account and also a Euro Bank account so its very easy living here, however, I have never received a bank transfer from the USA because of the fees and I usually stick to gift certificates or wish list items – at least until a suitable payment processor can be realised. 🙂
Welcome again to all the newbies who have recently joined.
Love Cindy x
March 9, 2006 at 1:18 pm #6582AnnaMemberI haven’t done the bank Transfer yet, but I consulted with my bank here in the UK (Abbey) and they said that I just needed to quote my IBAN no. (International Banking) and I could receive payments no problem. I pretended I was going to start eBaying tee hee
Basically with the IBAN no. any customer could direct their bank either at the counter or online to send a payment to my account. In the UK/EU (are we in the EU?) all I need to provide is my name, sort code and account no. to the customer who can send payment by counter/online. That’s the theory anyway
Cindy, they never mentioned fees but thanks for that, I’ll pop down and double check with them, and let you know. I know some banks are more thieving than others, the Abbey are pretty good.Â
If technology lets me down I’ll have to get a PO Box instead.

March 9, 2006 at 1:50 pm #6583OzzyMemberhello Cindy! welcome back! 🙂 I’m glad you are feeling better! does this make you feel even better? bb
I work with bank transfers a lot and it works like a charm. If you are sending money then for every transfer the bank charges $35 (transfers from US anyway).
There are no charges on the receiving end here. I have not tried the bank transfer method for buying from girls but I’m thinking that would not be a good alternative. lets say $30 for socks, $10 for shipping and $35 for transfer = $75.
