I was talking to StickyVicky a few days ago, shes new to the community (check her out) and we got to talking about the high rate of new panty girls…and the high rate in which they disappear!
I remember talking to someone about this when I first started selling, and they said that most girls wont last 6 months.
Why does everyone think that is?
Why is there such a high turn over of girls?
And why do you think certain girls manage to stay for alot longer?
March 15, 2007 at 9:08 pm #14022mikegukMemberA quick answer is that most new sellers think its a get rich quick way, but don`t relise how much work they have to put into it to sell there items.
mikeMarch 15, 2007 at 9:10 pm #14023AnnaMemberAs a panty selling veteran now of 12 months I think some sellers think it is easier than it actually is to sell panties. I mean we wear them anyway right?
How wrong can you be? I’ve seen sellers come on here, announce themselves with a flourish, then they moan about making no sales, then they disappear…
I reckon some last longer because they realise straight away that it is harder work than you assume and they are prepared to put the effort in.
I also think the sellers who see it as a bit of fun last longer than those who see it as a way of making money.
March 15, 2007 at 9:44 pm #14026adminKeymasterThis is exactly why our directory can be a pain in the ass 😉 . No sooner do some girls list themselves and the next thing we hear is that they or their site has disappeared. To toot Panty Hog’s horn, there are plenty of opportunities here to get yourself off to a great start. I am surprised sometimes to get emails from ladies asking how they can get noticed, sell some panties, etc. Then I look around and see they’ve never posted a message here, made a member page, added a news story to the front page to introduce themself, etc. Panty selling can be more difficult than it looks. But it doesn’t have to be as hard as some make it…take advantage of all the opportunities to get noticed here!

March 15, 2007 at 10:08 pm #14027MissSilverCatMemberI think one reason is that they expect quick tons of cash for “nothing”. Then the nothing turns out to be tons of advertising, talking with the buyers, packing, sending the goods…
The other thing is that I think we all have periods of bad buyers. The moments when people keep ordering but never pay, insulting people, scammers and ripoffs… sometimes it can be difficult.
As for myself, I am still around, just busy as hell with my job (I am a businesswoman now, hehe), so mostly dealing only with my regulars. But to be honest, I am starting to miss wearing panties for guys more often, so I think I will come back again, lol.
Never though that I am SUCH a pervert 😉March 15, 2007 at 10:26 pm #14030AnonymousGuestI will admit that I did think selling panties was “money for old rope” but I do now realise that I won’t make a fortune, and it is hard work – and I haven’t even sold any yet (look at my offer)
I have taken a lot of time to build and update my site and I have been and got nice wrapping for my knickers, so I’m thinking of more than just wearing the pants now.
I think the friendliness and advice I’m getting here is encouragement enough to keep working away.Hope that wasn’t too crass and boring!! bb
March 15, 2007 at 10:34 pm #14031RebelsAnjelMemberWell I know for myself…I know that with anything the more you put into it is the more you get out of it. I also have a small retail business where I live (I created that business back in October) and know for a fact that it takes ALOT of hard work and ALOT of decisions. I entered into this panty selling becuase I saw it as a way to flirt my ass off and make some bucks as well. I aready knew that it would involve a great deal of work (pictures, posting, advertising, networking…etc…). As of this posting I haven’t made a sell BUT do understand that very little (if nothing) ever comes overnight. I also feel that the buyers probably know that the turn around is quite high so tend to lay low and watch for awhile to see who they “feel” is the right one to purchase from. Also a I think buyers now are preferring to purchase only those who are “panty-verified” (which is actually a smart move on both sides when you think of it). To make it in any business you need to have the patience to create the results you want and in all reality nobody can do that the lazy way…you have to be willing to get out there and work for it. … goes off to walk the dog…Is that what you kids are calling it these days? Us old guys used to call it snapping off a quick one or choking the chicken! 😉
I agree with the opinions that girls think it’s easier than it is and they think it’s big bucks in a hurry.
Maybe it’s also that many of them are used to getting attention with no effort? But when they put themselves into the panty selling game next to all you very attractive girls already there, they realize they have to work to be noticed. And as some of you dear ladies are finding out, it takes time to get noticed and develope a following.
Don’t mind me, I’m just the old, crazy uncle babbling in the corner.

March 15, 2007 at 10:55 pm #14035RebelsAnjelMemberVery true Krooze…it does take time to develope a following in any business. If any lady comes into this business thinking that just her hot looks will carry her through this she simply won’t make it long. Looks are important…personality also rates high…also the lady needs to have a decnt business head on her shoulders and be able to network.
March 16, 2007 at 1:29 am #14047tastykacieMemberI’ve been around for a little over a year now (I just realized that when posting) and there have been times when I wanted to quit just because of bad experiences with people or nasty emails, but I have so much fun with the nice people I do meet that it makes it easier to blow off the negatives. I also do think that girls expect to make tons of money. I went into it with the idea for earning spending money only because I do work to pay all my bills, I just never had any fun money. But thanks to my panty sales, I’ve been able to get a Nintendo DS and some games (which I’m so addicted to), plus actually go out with my friends once and awhile. So I guess it comes down to how tough you are in dealing with nasty people and a realistic view of how much you think you’ll make.

My dog is a little nuts. She refuses to go in our yard. Every other dog I’ve had you could just open the door, hook it up to the run and let them in awhile later. This dog could be out in the back yard all day dying to take a leak. She absolutely won’t do it until we put her on the leash and walk her out of the yard.

March 16, 2007 at 5:44 pm #14066hotxxxblondeMemberIt boils down to it’s a TON of hard work. I do this nearly full time right now. I’ve been a bit busy this past week and it has been catching up to me and causing me to feel a bit overwhelmed, but I know that I can’t slip up because in this business one bad transaction will do you in. It’s not just about selling your panties (which is fun ;)) but to run a successful site it’s about running a business.
